Phone Recommendations Needed!
Hey everyone,
So, I'm looking for a new phone! I've got a Nokia 3330 which though long-wearing is starting to look super dated. I'm basically looking for advice from anyone here - I need any recommendations to have the following features;
1) Works with iSync - either it can be properly added as a device, or it is at least recognised as a phone and contacts can be synced,
2) Is a flipphone - because I like them,
3) Photo caller ID would be nice, but not essential,
Cameras/MP3/etc doesn't really bother me either way, especially if it affects the price. So, any takers?
Motorola E815 has all of the above, but it's probably already been replaced by something newer--I got mine about several months ago when it first came out. There is a list of phones that are Bluetooth enabled and Mac compatible someplace on the Apple site, but I've forgotten where. And the E815 is a Verizon version; different carriers, different phones.

Where is the insurance and original Edge Agreement from September? No one in Verizon knows. I purchased (rented) a Galaxy S4 through the Edge program, with the $5.00 insurance/protection plan (that the sales associate handling the purchase on the phone recommended),which is no longer valid! 2 months after getting the Edge device, I go to make a claim and Asurion will not honor it because I am not covered; however, all the order confirmation receipts emailed and physically sent with the device show the addition of insurance when I signed up for the Edge program. According to Verizon (via live chat with 'Nicole'), this $5 protection plan no longer exists and the order numbers I have on my paperwork (multiple documents) are invalid in the Verizon system. For over a week, I have spent more than 10 hours on the phone, live chat and in the store trying to get some sort of resolution and the customer service reps just put me on hold or promise to "call me back within 30 minutes after they speak to a supervisor" and (surprise!) they never return my call. Or they send me to the store to show proof of my documents, but then those associates cannot help either. Also, the 'Edge Agreement' in my profile has the wrong device (and serial #), wrong payment amounts and no mention of the 'consumer protection plan' on it, which is listed on the order confirmation sent via email and with the actual Edge device on September 23. Obviously, there was some sort of glitch or mistake on Verizon's part, but NO ONE WILL EVEN TRY TO ACCEPT THAT FACT! WHY WON'T ANYONE GET BACK TO ME WITH SOME SORT OF EXPLANATION FOR ANY OF THIS?! Is it typical for Verizon to do away with a service (i.e., $5.00/month protection) and not inform the customer of this? And is it company policy to be as unhelpful as possible to a paying customer who needs assistance when there is cleary something wrong on your end? And finally, am I really suppose to believe that Verizon customer service has no email addresses or fax machines so a customer can send you proof of what is on the receipt you sent and that I have to take more of my time to go to the actual store?! Finally, does anyone at Verizon even read these messages or even give a F@#k about the customer as long as they keep making money?!

It is certainly not a virus. There are none.
Try the basic troubleshooting steps.

Sometimes all that is required is to restart the iPhone.
The final step is to restore it. Always back up your iPhone first. -
I spend good money for my iPhone i have the iPhone 5 with the new charger slot which is smaller. I have been through at least 3 charging cords and this is not acceptable to me. i never had a problem with this on my older phone. apple needs to correct this and reimburse me for this cord.
Charging cords are covered by the iPhone warranty or their own warranty
if puchased separately. Take your iPhone and the cords to your local
Apple store for evaluation and possible replacement. -
When I send a text message I do not get any confirmation that it has been delivered. Is there any way of getting an automated message confirmation delivery and time? I was used to this with my old phone and need to know that my text message has been delivered to the recipient's phone, and when.
Thanks. So there's no means of knowing whether a text message has been delivered, not to mention time of delivery. Perhaps I've gone for the wrong phone. It might do a lot but seems to miss out on some basics.

Help! I synced my iCal from my old iPhone to iCloud. It worked great. I've done this because I'm switching to a Samsung phone and need to sync my iCal to my Google calendar. In attempting to do so today, my iCal is empty. How can I retrieve my iCal info??
This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

As you can see, the stuff circled in red doesn't give me an option to download from Cloud Beta because it already says "downloaded".

I have photos on my phone and need to e-mail a bunch of them, I can't find them on my computer where did they go?

Any photo stream photos will be streamed to iPhoto on your Mac providing that photo stream is enabled in the iPhoto preferences. -
i updated to ios 5.1.1 and added icloud services. the problem is now whenever i connect my iphone to my PC, itunes does not recognize my phone. i need it to but it just does not connect..
Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that points to a hardware problem. Yu can make an appointment at the the Genius Bar of an Apple store or try:

I bought that great phone NOKIA E51 but it needs a FIRMWARE UPDATE because the built'in camera gives photo(and videos too!) in VERY VERY "green" color that's too bad (MY OLD 6630 , so only 1,3 megapixel is best in photo quality against my actually E51..!)

ANOTHER AND LAST problem I have noticed during mine along E51 testing is the integrate REAL PLAYER VERSION has VERY VERY big problems during *MP4* VIDEO PLAYBACK (MP4 VIDEOS MADE ON PURPOSE FOR MOBILE), VIDEO APPEARS In jerks (ESPECIALLY IN FULL SCREEN!) And SOME TIME IT BLOCKS DURING PLAYBACK!

phone. However, I feel that there are some shortcomings with the
phone, which need to be addressed by firmware upgrades. I am listing
them here:
1) The camera has a VERY noticeable green tint
2) The video playback in full screen mode using RealPlayer is VERY
slow and choppy
3) In the "Missed Calls" part of the call log, there is NO way to
determine WHICH number of the contact was the call missed - "Mobile
Number", "Tel.(home)", "Tel.(office)" or what? The only way to
determine is to call back using the same screen, which is VERY
counterintuitive!

You aren't running iOS if you are using iPhoto, or a Classic operating system. Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac and find out what you really are running, and then use this link to post in the right place:

uh my phone is broken and won't turn on. so I'm getting a new phone and need to back it up but i need to unlock my passcode to backup but my phones locked sooooo idk ;/
Nothing you can do, sorry to say. If it will not turn on there is absolutely nothing you can do now to backup what is on it. The whole point of a backup is to have made it before disaster strikes. Now, with a dead iPhone, all you can do is accept the loss of your data.
You will be able to re-download iTunes and App store purchases since they are tied to your AppleID, not your device.
Have you been using iCloud for backup? If you have, then you should have a backup in iCLoud you can use to restore your replacement phone with. iCloud backups are automatic (once every 24hrs, whenever your device is on wifi, plugged in and asleep). -

i bought my iphone secondhand, and the previous owner didnt deltete his find my iphone account, so when i restored it i know cant access my phone, i need help as i have no way of getting intouch with the previous owner whatsoever :/ help!
Welcome to the Apple community.
Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.
