Phone Reset and Sincing issue

My main computer that my 3G iphone was set up on recently died, and I am now using a different computer. I updated my software on the phone, and when it had finished I had lost all of my music, apps, and ringtones. Is there a way to get everything I have purchased from the phone back onto it?

No, at least, not from the iPhone. Those files have now been deleted, since the iPhone syncs iTunes media content with one and only one iTunes library, by design. You'd need to get the music from the 'dead' computer, or hopefully you have a backup of your hard drive (and if you don't, perhaps you'll start the practice of routine backups now).
Apps can be redownloaded at no charge.
For the remaining content, you'll need to re-load that from the original sources.

The only ways to get them back are to sync with your iCloud account, if you have one set up with your contact and messages being backed up there, or to sync with your computer that you use to backup your iPhone data and apps.

I see that there is a place now on itunes but its wanting to synch with either outlook, google or yahoo and I just want to put my contacts from my phone into a back up. You have not transferred photos from your iPhone to your computer for the past two years?
I guess these were not important photos, then. Because if they were, you would take proper precautions.

I have an I phone 4 and since I upgrade to the lastest ios 6.1.3 , my volume slider is missing. The sound works when but I can't mute or turn up or turn down the volume. I've tried a hard reset , reboot, blowing air in the dock and earrplug jack. :-(

I tried almost evrything to restore my volume slider( + & - ). My phone rings, plays music and every other sound but I can't mute or put the volume up r down with the side buttons.. My volume slider bar is missing. This is only simce I upgraded to iso 6.1.3 .. What's with that?? I figured out how to manually mute the phone through (General, Accessibitily) by muting the bell for sound and unmuting the bell for silent mode. But what a freaken pain, when you have to take all those extra steps to turn your volume up or down or mute your Iphone??
We have no Apple Store here so no luck to bring it in to get looked at.. Please , does anyone out there know what else I coold do???

Does it work with headphones plugged in? That is typically the culprit, the device mistakenly believes that a pair of headphones are plugged in.

Bulk Phone Resets and TFTP Performance

I have approximately 1500 7941/61 phones in Callmanager 4.1(3)SR2 that are to be upgraded with the 8.0(3) phone load. I plan to reset the devices via device search (not device pool) and we want to know the estimated system impact and overall time to process all of the requests. We have a cluster of 3 7845 Callmanagers, all enabled for TFTP, with priority to sub2, sub1, Pub.

We actually ran the update last week with catastrophic results. Although we have three TFTP servers, they were set to the default of 200. Approximately 400 of the phones hung on the reboot, stopped dead and not registering to Callmanager, with no way to reset. We opened a P1 with TAC. They said the multiple TFTP servers should have handled the requests just fine (we're using three 7845s). Recommendation was to shut/no shut switchport interfaces to hopefully reboot the phones - no luck. Even reloading the switches didn't do it, because apparently there is still some power provided to the ethernet interface somehow. The ONLY sure fix was to unplug and reconnect each IP phone ... all 400 of them. In a college campus of 60-70 buildings and multiple IDFs per building let's just say is was a real long night. We're still not sure if this was a TFTP performance issue or an issue with the 7.0(2) to 8.0(3) phone loads.

has anyone else had the problem with their phone pretty much reseting? mine did it today and i lost my messages even ones that were saved, my contacts and everything i had on my memory card, does anyone know how and if i can recover what i lost, im mainly concerned with pictures i had on my memory card that i lost, please let me know,..

If you visit your local store, they may be able to recover your text messages, but your contacts and other information may not be recoverable.

Phone reset and lost all my photos!!!

Yesterday my phone froze, so i did the usual thing of holding the buttons till the apple appears on the screen. My phone came back on and to my supprise it had totally wiped all my photos off. Is there some way my phone has them still on the memory some where please let me know. There are loads of very important pics lost.

I recently forgot a new passcode on my phone so it became locked. i went to rest this via itunes but when it came to restore the phone non of my data including contacts, apps, messages, photos etc are available. It seems to have restored to a back up from after the phone was wiped. How can i get these back?

There's one other variable, although it shouldn't really come in to play but worth checking anyway. Is it possible that the backup was made using a higher version of iOS than the one you are running now? For example, if you were running the iOS 7 beta, then restored to version 6.1.3, the backup would not be listed as you cannot restore to a backup made on a device running a higher version of iOS. If that's the case, you would have to update to the same or higher version of iOS in order to access your backup.

Registered Phone Display and Accessibility Issue

I have 3 servers in my voice CUCM cluster 1 pub + 2 subs.
Whenever I go to 2nd subscriber and look for my phones , there is an error while accessing all those.
Firstly , the status logo is not normal and secondly, when I try to access that phone there is an error saying
"Unmapped Exception /user/local/cm/db/xml/xml/Phone_xxxx_SIP_display_instance.xml (No such file or directory)"
I am also attaching the screen shots of the error messages.
I am using CUCM - - System version: 8.5.1.10000-26.

Hi
I would ensure that you have the same device pack/locales and other installed files on all your CUCMs.
Then try restarting Tomcat if you have not done so already (utils service restart Cisco Tomcat).
Perhaps also try running 'run loadxml' from the CLI.

Depending upon what country that you are in (and if you haven't changed countries since buying it and it's still in your store) then you might be able to redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone.
You should also be regularly connecting your phone to your computer's iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so as to copy all of your downloads over so that you can take a backup copy of them (and preferably taking a backup of the phone if you have any important documents and/or photos on it) - apps and other downloads could also be potentially be removed from a country's store at any time, so you may not be able to redownload them either.

Lumia 720 - screen feeze and keypad issues

My lumia 720 has for a for a while now started to freeze when doing anything! Initially the phone seems to do weird things like the keypad pops up and srarts typing randomly then after a second or two the screen will just freeze and will not respond to anything. I have to press the lock screen button to lock the phone then unlock it to be able to use my phone again. Initially the problem only occurred once every week but now it happens every few minutes and is becoming untolerable. I really need to get this issue fixed! Has anyone come across the same issue and got it resolved. Nokia please help!

Sorry to hear this. Here are the troubleshootings that we can do on your phone:
1. Restart your phone.
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. Release and the phone will restart. If the problem persists, reset and restore your phone as instructed below.
* Just a quick reminder, doing the reset will wipe off everything that you have on the phone. In case the phone is not responding anymore to anything, we can't do anything to save them. However, if your Windows Live account is signed in on the phone, your contacts, pictures and videos will be synchronized to it.
2. Reset and restore your phone.
Important: This erases all personal content on your phone and restores the factory settings.
Make sure your phone’s battery level is above 50%. To check the remaining battery life, go to Settings > battery saver > battery info. If you are not able to check it, or the level is too low, charge your phone for at least 20 minutes.
Switch off your phone, and disconnect the charger.
Press and hold the volume down key, and connect the charger. An exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen.
Press the keys in the following order: volume up, volume down, power, and volume down. Your phone resets, and boots up. This may take several minutes.
3. Update your phone software
You may not be using the most recent software for your phone.
To check if there is new software available for your phone, on the start screen, swipe left, and tap Settings > phone update > check for updates.

Radio Interface Reset and Shutdown Frequently

As recently new office from end-Sept, we have found that the radio interface reset very frequently which has been happening about over 15 times within 8 weeks for one AP on average. Some of those (3 AP so far) got the radio interface down eventually and we need to reload the AP to make it up again.
the AP model is AIR-LAP1142N-N-K9 and the IOS version is

Scenario:
The new office gets 2 floors. One is 5/F which has installed 9 APs with different channels and another one is 6/F which has installed 6 APs with different channels as well. We found that there are many events “%DOT11-4-MAXRETRIES: Packet to client reached max retries, removing the client” logged on 5/F and 6/F AP.
We also found that the radio interface reset very frequently which has been happening about over 15 times within 8 weeks for one AP on average. Some of those (3 AP so far) got the radio interface down eventually and we need to reload the AP to make it up again.
Is/ are there any possibility caused by otherenvironmental factors? Please advise.
