  • Spontaneous reset during call with Iphone 3GS running iOS 5

My iPhone 3GS crashes almost everytime during a call.  When I'm calling some-one or some-one is calling me the phone suddenly resets after 2 or 3 minutes.  Is this a HW or Software problem.  In my diagnostics list I see quite some panic messages with CRC errors.

"Spontaneous reset" - maybe you mean spontaneous restart - the phone can't reset itlself.
Could be either hardware or software.  Restore the phone in iTune using a backup and if this continues restore as new, without using a backup.  If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware issue.

  • Phone resets during reboot sequence (security software check)

    Good morning:
When I took my BlackBerry Curve 2 (8530) off the charger and turned it on this morning, for some reason it reset at the 51% mark during the security software verification. I'm worried that it somehow contracted a virus, or the phone's security software has been compromised.
Is there any way to wipe the handset without the phone being powered on 100% (via the keypad or something)?
The phone is under 3 months old and should be covered by the manufacturer's warranty - but until I get this fixed, I have no phone to use.
    Please provide some guidance.
    Thanks,
    Tom

  • Phone rebooted during call

Got the phone yesterday... Was out for a nice walk this moring talking to my mom on the phone and she went silent - looked down at the phone and the AT&T logo was there - the phone was rebooting. Had been on the phone for maybe 7-8 minutes and it had been up to my ear the whole time, so it wasn't a combination of anything on my part.
Only seen this once so hopeful it's a once off.
Nice phone Nokia - please stick to it and work out the kinks. Giving this phone a shot and I'm a potential long-term customer (have had nokia phones in the past when I lived in Europe)

    Hi there,
First please backup your data and perform a soft reset on your phone (press and hold the volume down and power buttons) until the phone reboots and see if that solves your problem. If not, then perform a hard reset, as detailed here: http://mynokiablog.com/2011/11/08/how-to-hard-reset-nokia-wps-three-finger-restart/
There have been a fair share of problems reported of the AT&T variants of the 920, and a reset has often solved it. Try it and report back to us how it goes.
Failing the hard resets working, you will need to take your 920 back to your point of purchase, or if they are not helpful, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to inspect.

  • Phone volume during calls

I cannot hear a thing when I'm on a call, even after raising the volume to the max. Is anyone else having this problem? I even suspected that I may be holding it wrong, and I find myself pressing my ear up to the phone, and still, can't hear the person on the line very well. Any solutions to this?

Did you remove the plastic cover from the screen? If not, did you make a "hole" where the ear speaker is??

  • ZTE Open C reboots during calls

The phone reboots during calls. OS version 1.3, latest according to ZTE.
Thing is, only when it is set to use 3G. But if I set to 2G the audio is absolutely terrible.
Both when using 2G and 3G sometimes the calls get cut-off on the receiver phone. I can hear the other person talking but the other person doesn't hear anything. This is another issue.
What can I do? The phone was bought from Ebay on September 2014.
Problem didn't start now, ZTE Ebay support said the issue was a SIM one. I recently changed to 3G because the noises in 2G are almost unbearable.

    Hi Falconet,
I understand you are experiencing rebooting and call quality issues on your ZTE Open C device.
Since ZTE is responsible for the Firefox OS build specific to your device, I would suggest following their advice.
You may be able to request a new SIM card for your device by contacting your carrier support.
I hope this resolves your issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Firefox OS device.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
What ZTE meant was changing carriers not just sim card. I can't do that for another 1.5 years. The reason they said is because the phone seemed fine for a while when using another carrier. Sadly, the SIM is fine since another SIM card from the same carrier does the same. Both are working fine on Android Phones.

  • Curve 8900 restarts during call

Onto my second curve 8900 from Hong Kong in a week after the first had a power leakage from motherboard (fried travel charger and ran down battery really quickly) and reset during calls.  Got a replacement but it's also restarting during calls.  Any ideas?  Could it be a software issue?

Did you try reset of device by pulling the battery out?
I think you would be better of by replacing the device.

  • My Lumia Icon goes dark during calls and I cannot access the phone pad to unless I hit the power button.

My Lumia Icon goes dark during calls and I cannot access the phone pad to unless I hit the power button.  Because of this it makes it tough to put my phone on speaker or type in my v-mail password.

I've been trying to find a common denominator. It happens inconsistently. It never happened before the Denim update. When it does occur, the screen goes black immediately upon answering the call and doesn't come back until the call is ended by the calling party.
I thought it might be the proximity sensor, but when it's working normally I can see the screen go dark when it's at my ear and comes back when I take it away (tried it multiple times). I had Gestures Beta installed. I wondered if that could have an affect so I uninstalled it, but that didn't make any difference. I'm still stumped by the inconsistency. I haven't reset my phone as I didn't really want to go through that...

  • Phone resetting in middle of phone calls

My phone keeps resetting about two minutes into a phone call, the phone go to the apple logo and look like a hard reset. Also sometime the screen shows the battery with a power symbol as if the battery is dead, but when the phone resets the battery is still good. Has anyone had the same problem and how did you fix it. Thanks

Have you tried restoring your iphone?

  • 7940 phone resets when try to transfer a call

When I am engaged in a call on my 7940 and wish to transfer a call. I press the transfer softkey and the phone resets. If anyone can give me some ideas and or solutions it would be greatly appreciated.

Following guide line help you for transfer the call.
if user B has an active call on a particular line (from user A) and user B has not reached the maximum number of calls on this line, the Cisco Unified IP Phone provides a Transfer softkey to user B. If user B presses the Transfer softkey (or Transfer button, if available) once, user B receives dial tone and can make a secondary call: user B dials the number of a third-party (user C). Cisco Unified CallManager provides a Transfer softkey to user B again. If user B presses the Transfer softkey again (or Transfer button, if available), the transfer operation completes.
With the onhook call transfer implementation, user B can hang up after dialing the number of user C, and the transfer completes. Both the existing and new implementations work in the case of a blind transfer (user B disconnects before user C answers) and also in the case of a consult transfer (user B waits for user C to answer and announces the call from user A).
The previous implementation remains unchanged: user B can press the Transfer softkey twice to complete the transfer.

Yes Verizon has contacted me by phone.  I never scheduled a call time nor did I call them.  They also are not making it easy to contact them through email.  I need to discuss a way to assure that my phone is never called again during work hours without a prearranged meeting.  I will not speak on the phone nor use a live chat.  I want email as I want this documented offical and no other means offeres me that assurance.  I'd also like to discuss comensation for being harrassed with phone calls.

Well if you pay your bill the calls would not happen.
You need only tell them not to call you during working time.
The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act states you must tell them it is not convenient.
Now if marketing calls you can opt out at the Verizon web portal under your My Verizon account.
You will not get compensation for them to call you. Nice try.
However they could just shut your phone off and then you will call them.
    Email is not an option.
    Good Luck

  • HT201401 Phone doesn't go blank during call - ear/face dialing during call

Help! My Iphone4 doesn't go blank during calls, resulting in ear/face dialing.  I've had this problem since I took it out of the box.  Anyone out there with this problem that was able to resolve it?

There is a proximity sensor near the front receiver/speaker on the front of the phone the is supposed to sense when you have raised your phone to your face during a call and turn off the screen.  Your symptoms indicate there is something wrong with the proximity sensor on your phone.  Try cleaning or removing your screen protector to be sure that isn't the culprit.  If it isn't, make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store to have it looked at.  (If you feel it was related to iOS 6, you could try restoring your phone first to see if that would help.)
