Phone stuck at logo screen after ios7 update error

help! when trying to update to ios7 i got an unknown error. Now my iphone 5 is stuck at the black apple loading screen

I've encountered the same problem with my iPhone 4, part way through updating to ios7 amessage came up on my computer "itunes has encountered an error and needs to shut down" I'm now left with the apple symbol with a line underneath it on my phone. iteunes doesn't recognise that my phone is plugged into the computer nor can I switch my phone off.
Any suggestions?

  • Imac 5k stuck on apple logo screen after latest update

Hi - i have a magazine deadline and a major issue:
i've been having loads of kernel panics (see thread here Brand new imac 5k kernel panic) and having seen there was a new update figured it would be worth installing it to see if it fixed them as nothing so far suggested by apple support has helped. Once it had downloaded the update the OS said it needed to reboot to finish installation.  It got half way through the loading bar on the apple logo screen and got stuck. I left it an hour, came back still nothing. Left it another hour and it was still just stuck half way.  I rebooted into diagnostics and ran that and it said everything was fine but further reboots just get as far as halfway through the bar.  I'm now stuck as the computer was only a month or so old and i hadn't yet set up back up on it. I was still in the process of getting everything configured and over from my old machine.  Problem is I have a bunch of photos that were transferred on to it that i shot 2 weeks ago and I need them for a magazine deadline tomorrow and apple support options could only call me back on Thursday - if anyone can suggest anything i will be VERY grateful. I've already tried SMC and PRAM resets.

I did that, a fresh OS install and it worked for about 4 hours then i got a kernel panic

  • Mac stuck on white screen after software update

I updated to snow leopard and then then to 10.6.8. After the updates had installed, my computer restarted and now it's stuck on a white screen. No key shortcuts work at all, I've tried. None of them work. Every time I try to turn it on it's just frozen on a blank white screen. Twice it's gone to the apple logo and been able to start up after 20 or so minutes of being on the white screen but each time it froze. I don't know what to do.

There have been problems with the Apple servers not linking to support articles, so some links may not load the first time.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • I phone stuck on recovery mode after i update for 7.1.1

    hi,
after i updated my phone for 7.1.1  it only shows on the screen to connect to i tune.///is there a way i can remove recovery mode without missing al my setting on my phone?

    Hello dreams1
If it is in recovery mode, then no you can escape or bypass it and you would need to use iTunes to restore it. Once that is complete, if you have a back up in iTunes or iCloud, then you can put that back up back on.
If you can't update or restore your iOS device

  • IPod 4G stuck on logo screen after an attempt to restore

Today I tried to restore my (jail broken) iPod 4th generation in iTunes. Half way through the restore it seemed like iTunes completely ignored it, it wouldn't show up under devices. So I unplugged it and now its stu k in the logo start up screen. After about five minutes of showing the logo it does a twitch and flashed white for a half a second then black for a second then back to the logo. After about six hours of doing this it turned off (I think it ran out of batteries)
If any one can help me quickly that would be greatly appreciated!! (I want iOS 5)

Put it in DFU mode and try a manual install, as outlined in the link below.

  • Phone stuck on apple screen after downloading new update

Downloaded the new update 8.02 (i think thats what its called) last night. Since then phone is stuck on white apple screen. Got it to turn off once, now can't get it to turn off but I plugged it into my mac book and now I have got it to cycle through a blue, then black, then back to apple screens. Phone won't even show up in iTunes to restore it. Ugh....Help please. Its my alarm clock and I need to be up in a few hours not trying to get my darn phone to just turn on or off. Thanks in advance to my savior of this apple fiasco (today)

I tried putting it into recovery mode, hold power and home button and it has done nothing to help. Still goes to white apple screen and freezes there then flashes blue then back to white screen again. Plugging it in does nothing because it won't register that it is plugged in so still can't recover from iTunes. Help needed asap!

  • My phone is frozen on status screen after iOS7 update

I let it update overnight and 10 hours later it is still on the screen.  I tried doing a restore (holding home and sleep buttons), but nothing happens.  When I try  connecting to iTunes it won't let me do anything because it says I need to enter the passcode on my phone, but I can't because the screen is stuck.  Are there any suggestions other than a total restore?

    Hi!
A similar thing happened to me and at the end, I had to restore it completely. But then I made a backup some time ago and so I restored all my data back.

  • IPad mini stuck on "plug in itunes" screen after ios7 update

I planned on updating to ios7 through wifi, but now it's asking me to plug into itunes (black screen with itunes icon and plug pointing towards it).
I can't plug into itunes because I'm on an laptop with 10.5.8 on it (so itunes hasn't been updated in a while).
So...what can I do here to get past this screen?  I didn't think I would have to plug it in to itunes if downloading through wifi.
My iphone 4s updated without any issues through wifi.  Any help here (besided telling me to upgrade my laptop/itunes for the moment) would be
    very much appreciated.
    Thanks

The iPad has gone into recovery mode, so you will need to connect it to a computer's iTunes (iTunes 11.1), and on a Mac you will need OS X 10.6.8+ - there isn't another way.

  • Stuck at boot screen after installing updates.

I was prompted to install updates. Got a message stating that the updates couldn't be installed and that the system will be restarted. When booting it gets stuck at the apple screen with a spinning wheel. A progressbar appears for a while and ticks to about 5% and then disappears. If I leave it there nothing happens for hours except the computer getting very hot.
I've tried to use keyboard commands to boot in either safe mode or from a CD but I can't get them to work.

Anyone else with this problem - any fix??

Well, I just wasted a half hour trying to figure it out now that I finally needed a picture.  Under no circumstances would I ever have guessed that I needed to swipe to change mode.  I must have inadvertantly swept it to video when I went to the app and then I couldn't figure out how to get back to photo.  Must have tried to push on the word photo a dozen or more times.  Glad I googled it and ended up here after 15 miutes of frustration.
