Phone switched off in Software update

Hi,
This is the first time I installed Nokia suite. It gave me massage that new software is available. I tried to install new software. During this process it tried to restart my phone. But my phone switched off and did not restarted again. After that my phone is not at all starting. I removed battery and re-inserted and tried many times. But still my phone not starting. I tried to charge battery(though it was already fully charged). But it is not even charging battery(or showing it is charging). Kindly suggest how can I restart my phone ?

Hi, I updated my nokia c7 symbian belle via air.( i remember there were 3 items- one of them is something like "windows application").
During the update , i clicked 'ok' to restart my phone. Sadly, it didn't restart after that. it went switched off.
whenever i try to switch on my phone,
It first shows 'NOKIA' and shows some dots flashing at the bottom of the screen, as if it were going to switch on as normal- but end up without restarting.. (Se the pictures below)
-- What happened to my phone? what am I supposed to do to get it ok?

sometimes it happens, a hard reset will sometimes solve the issue.
If the issue starts happening more often, I would consider restoring the device to factory settings to install clean software. If the issue still persists after that, the device might need a hardware repair.

Phone Switches Off

Hi
My phone switches off and I have to re-insert the battery to switch it on. BB Curve 9360, its less than 4 months old. The worst part is when it went off while I was busy with a call.
Please help

A faulty battery could act in exactly that way, yet still be the cause of the situation. Faulty is faulty, which means results are unpredictable. But, if you don't want to even try to diagnose that for sure, we can move on...and hopefully it truly is not causal...
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

Experia X - phone switches off even after charges 100%

I have an experia Z and even after charging the battery to 100% the phone switches off after I remove the charger. I have to keep the phone continuously on charging to ensure that it remains on. Is it a battery or a software issue?I have android software version 5.0.2 and phone model no is C6602.Please help...

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..
Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.

5530 XM - Phone SWITCHES OFF during calls

Hey all,
Got a couple of problems with my 5530 XM so any advice/suggestions, please let me know!
1) Phone SWITCHES OFF when I: press the green button to receive the call/ make a call
-I noticed that it switches off when I place it near my ear, and not really when I use the speakerphone (are the sensors the problem?)
2) When I minimize my music player (when playing music) there used to be a controller (to choose play, next etc.) on the background of my home screen. ITS NOT THERE ANYMORE!
Would greatlly appreciate anyone's expertise on these (I think common) issues.

hello man .. i had the same proplem as ur N.1 ..... then i was told by nokia technician that it is a bug or virusus proplem, and all what he did to fix it was to make a hard format for phone and memory so that there would be no bugs or viruses , since then it's all ok with me ..... but i wanna advise u and tell u not to download anything to the phone ,, only make nokia updates .. cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers ..

In CO I am using only CCA and PCA. But I don't want to have the profit center updated on the balance sheet items.
For example I have it activated for all the automatical BS postings from MM
I need it only for the PL accounts.
How can I switch off the automatic updates of profit centers on the Balance Sheet Account?
Is it enough to deactivate the PCA on the Controlling Area?

I contacted AT n T also and explained about the problem, They suggested to monitor few more days...whether it is real network issue or not. But I am very sure it is NOT network issue because one day I was waiting for my brother at my office open parking space, And i called my brother whether he is ready at his place so that i can go and pick him, but he told it takes sometime...and he told, he will call in 15 mins, So i was at the same location (NOT even moved 1 inch also ), just sitting and listening music and after 30 mins, I called him back and asked Still not ready, then he replied he was trying me from last 15 mins and it is going to voice mail , I got similar complaint from others as well. Today also my cousin called my landline and asked Is your phone switched off ? because i was trying to reach you but it is going to voice message, I saw the signals at that time, Signal strength is very good. I think there is some problem in Iphone5 may be LTE or something.
Taking phone to next levels is good, But it should NOT hamper it's basic phone functionality ( Make calls, receiving calls, Voice mail etc ). Please let me know if any fix for this.

You say it started on yours after upgrading to iOS 8. I've been on iOS 8.0 for quite some time and only recently did this issue spring up.
The one thing I haven't tried is downgrading it back to iOS 7 (which would be a shame, but if it's the only answer...)
I'll get back to you once I've tried that.

Do you really mean it switches off completely, or it goes into sleep mode? If the phone responds when you tap the Home button, then it was in sleep mode and is working as designed. If it is powering off completely, then that is a fault and you need to take it to your nearest Apple store for evaluation.

No texts come through when phone switched off

When iPhone 4 switched off and someone sends a text message through why don't I receive it when phone switched back on? Is it my provider? My settings? Or phone? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

SMS is a carrier function. It's going to depend a lot on how long you have the phone switched off. Different carriers hold messages for different amounts of time before they are deleted as undeliverable. iMessages are a data function unless they can't be delivered, which case, depending on settings, the sending phone will try to send them as SMS messages.
If this is an issue for you, I'd recommend considering putting the phone on mute rather than turning it off. Of course, if you are, for some reason, required to turn it completely off, that won't help. The only places I've been required to turn my phone off in the past year were on airplanes and while being detained at the border.

I have installed Mavericks on two of my three machines. One required a complete wipe, reformat and reinstall, the other is fine but slower than before and none of the so-called improvements are a benefit. I will not install it on the third machine which is less than a year old and purchased just before Mavericks. This third machine is vital to my work and I will not risk the issues I had with my other computers. I may eventually buy a new machine and I will happily take it with the latest software, that is not the point. Unlike upgrades in the past, Mavericks if fraught with risk and there is little benefit to offset the trouble. For nearly a year now, every time I update my software there is that ever present "Free" Mavericks update listed. If I have not used it by now, it is likely I will never use it. Make it available as download, fine, but take it off my software update list. It makes me upset to see it every time I have an a legitimate update, it is bad marketing to make your customers upset and the negative energy will not serve anyone well

I'm having the same issue but noticed that the alias for index.sucatalog appears to be broken and if you try to open the file it reports that the file can't be found. If you go to terminal and do an ls -l in the html directory of swupd it reports that the orginal should be at ../content/catalogs/index.sucatalog but the file is not there.
I have also rebuild the Software Update service from scratch by deleting just the database files and I have the exact same issue after the rebuild. I have also found the following error message in the logs reporting the alias issue.

IPhone 4S - phone switches off before battery percentage has got to 0

iPhone 4S - phone switches off before battery percentage has gone to 0 - usually switches off when it's between 20-30%.
When I try the force restart it has the battery sign. (Home Button+Power button)
When I plug the charger in it starts charging from the point it shut off, 20-30%.
Have tried reset all settings.
Have done a restore and setup as a new phone.
Any way I can get it start charging from 0 instead of where it shut off (20-30%) ?

Bit of a trek to the Apple store + i can't really send it off as I'm using it all the time.
Anything I can do to recalibrate or reset it so battery drains and starts to charge from 0, before I have to go to the Apple store?

Phone switched off during updating my Lumia 520 to...

My fully Charged Lumia go switched off during final process of installation of Lumia Cyan Update, as probabily its battery goes off. Now when i connect it to a charger as phone restarts installation starts again, but after 20-30 min. battery screen starts showing, d 1 which shows when we connects a empty battery phone to a charger instead of installation one. and then after that nothing happening, i tried to charge my battery through desktop charger but after a defined completion % of installation process, phone phone again starts charging. what would i do?
