Phone switches to husbands apple id when I go to update apps.
My phone says I have updates, but when I go to update them it has switched to my husband's apple id and wants his pw. We share a comp but have different user accounts to keep our itunes seperate. Everything else is signed in under my apple id. HELP PLEASE. Thanks =]
This usually means that there is at least one app on your phone that was purchased using his Apple ID. It may have been synced to your phone if you are syncing to the same computer. Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID on your phone being used to purchase new apps and media from the iTunes store (as set in Settings>iTunes & App Stores).

Iphone app store asks for old apple id when i try to update apps
I recently reset my apple id. However when I try to update apps in my iphone it asks for my old apple id info. When I enter this in it states that the info is incorrect and needs to be reset. However when I download new apps the app store asks for my recently updated apple id info. When I have tried to delete the apps that need to be updated and buy them again, I was charged for the app. As a result I cannot update any apps. How can I fix this?
You changed it wrong. You should have done it this way:

I can download apps free and buy it comes up with my Id but when I want to update them it comes up with the old owners Id :( please help
Resetting cleanses the iPhone of all content, and you can easily restore the apps associated with your Apple ID. Make a list of all apps, the go to the app store and download all of the free apps. Tap Purchases to download those you purchased with your Apple ID. Those leftover purchased apps are from the other Apple ID and you will have to purchase under your own ID.
A backup will cause problems with the email and such unless you have taken all of the previous owners accounts off the iPhone.
Once setup as your own, by all means backup to iCloud...that is safe and secure. -
Hi.
I used my PC and configured up an new iPhone 5s. I was logged into my own Apple ID while installing it and recovering it from an older Safety Copy, the safety copy was done also while on this account. I want the owner of the 5S to use their own Apple ID on the iTunes store and on iCloud. I did register their iCloud account and used their Apple ID when on the phone for the first time, but whenever I try to update apps my ID shows up. Is there a way to change this ID to the owner of the 5S' owner without deleting all the apps, or somehow still recover them from the copy?Try recovering them from the copy. If those copies are also associated with your Apple ID, no.

I am volunteering in Haiti, when I try to update apps, says I am in the Vietnamese store. I went to settings for my apple id, which still list USA? How do I switch stores, when it appears I am in the US store?
If you have Location Services turned on turn this off, then follow steps below:
Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Your_Apple_ID>View Apple ID
When you tap your Apple ID and select View Apple ID you'll need to enter your password, once done you can change the Apple Store.

When I try to update apps on my iPad, it asks me for my mothers password and displays her apple ID. How do I change it to ask for my apple id and password??? I am signed into the store and iCloud with my apple id. I am not signed into ITunes, the store on the ipad, or icloud under her name. WIERD???
There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. It shows up on my phone, and now I cannot update any of my apps. I uninstalled that app on my phone, but when I want to update ones I have installed on my phone with my appleid, she keeps showing up.

My Iphone has family emails that appear randomly when I try to update apps or generally have to log into my account. It comes up as my sister in laws address. She was once connected to our account when she got her phone at first. How can I remove? There are only two other email address's associated with my account and hers was never one of them! I do have a cloud set up on my phone. I thought this issue had gone away when I canged my passwords, but I just registered a new phone yesterday and its happening again!
Can anyone help me?Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, and all future updates will require you to enter the password associated with this ID, whether you are currently using this ID for purchases or not. If you are being prompted for your sister-in-law's Apple ID when updating it means that there must be one or more apps on your phone that was purchased using her Apple ID. (When she synced with your computer it may have transferred this app to your library. It was subsequently synced to your phone.) The only way to stop the prompt for her ID is to delete these apps from your phone and your iTunes library and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

My Apple ID was changed. It works fine on my IPad mini, my MAc and in Itunes Store, Yet when I try to update apps on my IPAD 1 I am asked to enter a password for the old ID user name which appears in the pop up window. When It still askes for the wrong ID data. I have uodated it in settings, and I have logged ontht the account to verify that it still works properly and it does. I reboot the IPAD and then attempt to update apps again but it still asked for the Old ID password and still shows the old ID username. The dame thing refuses to recognize my new Apple ID data. This is making my older IPAD unuseable.
You cannot change your Apple ID. You can get a new one if you want, but all of your Apps and media are linked to yoru old Apple ID. And no, Apple won't transfer your old ID purchases to yoru new ID.

I added apps by syncing with a Mac. It was under my husband's ACCT. When I tried to update apps on my iPad, it was his account. How do I change this? It only happens when I try to update apps
Apps will always be tied to the account from which they were purchased.
If they were purchased from your husbands account, then they will have to update using that account. -
I changed my Apple ID and password, but when I attempt to update Apps I am prompted to enter my Password for my OLD Apple ID, and I am unable to override the Old Apple ID. How to proceed ?
Delete everything bought with the old Apple ID and buy it again.
Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID. -
when i go to update apps the previous owners apple id is stuck in the id box and it won't let me put mine in.. PLEASE HELP! LOL
Apple says that the Mac was supposed to be erased and taken back to the most recent version of OS X with which it shipped. You should not have any of the previous owner's apps. That violates the Terms of Use for Mac App Store apps.

I have a known good apple id and password, but when I try to update apps I am told incorrect apple id or password through the iTunes store
Probably because the Apps in question were originally downloaded using a different Apple-id.

Which is better for scratch disk?
Which would be a better solution to use as a scratch disk, a 500gb external firewire 800 drive (5400 rpm)or a seperate partition dedicated for FCP on a Macbook Pro's internal HD (also 5400 rpm)?
