Phone will not show up under devices

Your iPhone doesn't have to "show up" on Your Mac. Just follow this instructions (exactly) for you to be able to sync local files from your desktop to your iPhone. Note: This feature is for Premium users only.Using the desktop app, add local music files you want to sync to a playlist.Log into Spotify on your iPhone using the same WiFi network as your desktop.Tap the menu button ().Tap Your Music.
Tap Playlists.
Tap Local Files, or the playlist containing local files from your computer.Select the playlist containing the local music files and press the Available Offline switch at the top.
A green arrow will appear next to the tracks when syncing is complete.

doubt there is an incompatability between atv and windows8
as if that was the same this forum would have a lot more posts about it then yours
go to the settings inside your appletv
unlink it with whatever computer it see itself as being linked to
after the restart
set it to link
go to itunes on windows 8 and look for it
type in the 4 didgets and and have it sync
itunes 11 is the same app on win7 as on win8
all my drivers for netcards and the likes in win8 was not updated when I updated from win7
what apple support tells you is pretty much that appletv1g is a dead product which will never get updates again
this is not the same as it will not work any more -
My IPhone does not show up under Devices in I Tunes when I plug it into my computer. "Devices" no longer appears on the menu at all down the side of the page.

ATV not showing up under devices in iTunes
I have synced this ATV with this Macbook in the past.
I am able to play music from my Macbook thru my ATV by selecting the ATV speakers instead of the Macbook's speakers.
I can play movie trailers on the ATV.
In iTunes>Preferences>ATV my ATV shows up and says it is syncing
I have updated my ATV and iTunes software.

Updated iTunes and iPod software iPod not showing up under devices in iTunes
Updated software since computer said there were updates. Now I'm having trouble with iPod not showing up under devices. Have gone through all the steps under troubleshooting. Nothing helped. Had this same problem periodically in the past, as well. Itunes also says I have an app I reinstalled today due to it not working properly, and it won't synch with iPod. (earlier today, iPod was showing up and synching properly, but this app wasn't getting downloaded to the iPod. Just shows up in iTunes. HAve tried restarting computer, iTunes and iPod, but no luck.
Thank you but I have tried this and it still does not show up. I even tried to delete itunes and reload it but the computer says that it is not able to delete itunes.

When I plug in my 3rd generation iPod nano to my mac OS x 10.7.3 and open iTunes it does not show up under devices anymore. Why and how can I fix this so I can start transferring my songs again?

I am also running an iPad 1 off of this computer.Thank you but I have tried this and it still does not show up. I even tried to delete itunes and reload it but the computer says that it is not able to delete itunes.

TS1425 it won't disconnect it says connected but is not showing up under devices in ITunes
I Pod is not showing up under devices in ITunes...it is connected to my MacBook Pro and it says connected ...but it is frozen...
I'm not a Mac user, but do one of the following:
> Restart your mac.
> uninstall & reinstall iTunes
> reset your iPod (if possible)
> make sure iTunes is up to date.
This is what I really know, I don't use a mac. If this doesn't help, then sorry.

IMac Bluetooth keyboard not showing up under devices in my iPad
Even after I remove it from my list of iMac devices, if I touch a key on the keyboard, it reconnects to the iMac. So after I removed it from the devices on my iMac, I shut the iMac off to see if I could get it to work with my iPad (first generation) and it doesn't show up under bluetooth devices on my iPad. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong, or is it not possible to do this? I even paired (and unpaired) my iPad to my iMac. I followed all the directions to unpair/disconnect my keyboard from the iMac, but I still cannot get my iPad to find the keyboard under bluetooth devices.

IPhone does not show up under devices on my hard drive
I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4. At one time, my iPhone did show up under devices on my hard drive until I did something really stupid and deleted it. It has never shown up since. Any help out there? (It shows up in iTunes just fine.)
Is your iPhone fully charged? If not, it will not upload to PhotoStream, to save energy.

It sounds like your phone is not recognzied in iTunes anymore. I recommend the troubleshooting steps from the article named:

Here is an overview of the troubleshooting to be done:
1. Update iTunes
2. Check the USB cable
3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
4. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service
5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed
6. Check for third-party software conflicts
If the issue persists, try uninstalling iTunes and its associated apps with either of these two articles depending on your operating system version:
