Phone Won't Turn On: Says No Battery

Hello all,
This morning, I checked a text message on my phone and it was working fine. Then, only a few minutes later I went to check the time and my phone was off and displaying a battery with a red X through it. I tried taking out the battery and it didn't work. I also made sure the charging cable was connected correctly and I tried just leaving the phone plugged in for a while. Right now, it's been plugged in (with the battery in) for about an hour and it is still displaying the battery with an X through it. I'm not sure if it is completely dead and needs a long charge time or what, but I can't get it to turn on at all. A few times when I plugged it in, it would first show the charging battery symbol (the battery with a lightning bolt), but that would quickly go away and change to the battery with an X through it. Could anyone please help me?

UPDATE:
I've seen a lot of others that have had the same problem as I did. If you plug the phone in and turn it on and leave it there (while it has the battery with an X displayed) for approximately 2-4 hours, it will eventually work again. After the few hours have passed, you have to unplug the phone and battery, put the battery back in and it should turn on like normal. Once you do so, plug the phone back in and charge it because even after leaving it plugged in for those hours, that only gives the phone the slightest bit of power in order for it to just turn on. I saw many people saying they would need to reboot or replace their phones, but that shouldn't be necessary. I hope this helps any others who come across the same issue that I did!

Battery symbol with a red x and my phone won't turn

i have the curve 8520... it was working earlier today I changed my sim card so I put my phone shut off. After this when I switched on my hand set...... then I found a battery symbol with a red x and the phone is not booting OS. I am not sure what that means but my phone won't turn on and won't charge. I tried taking the battery out and now it turns on but the symbol is still there and the loading bar is on the screen and it won't change. I also took outmy sim card & memory card. Please help me...

Phone won't turn on - Xperia Z

My phone won't turn on whatsoever. It is not unresponsive, the LEDs work, they go red when it is charging. I have looked for a solution but I can find absolutely none. I've charged it for 24 hours so it is not a matter of battery drain. When I connect it to the computer it says that "SEMC Flash Drive connected" and it plays the sound, not sure why it doesn't say Xperia Z connected. Sony PC Companion won't recognise the phone so it won't let me restore it. I've tried to put it in recovery but whenever I try to do it, the phone just vibrates and does nothing, same with turning it on, it just vibrates, does nothing and then vibrates again. Is there a way to wipe the data in it's state currently or is there a fix because right now my phone is as useful as a brick. The phone isn't stuck on the boot logo, it just won't turn on

Try running a repair, but ensure you start the process with the phone not connected to the PC and do not connect till it prompts you to do so after the repair option is selected. What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

Place iPhone on Wall Charger for at least 10 minutes. Then keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, this can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on charger. If still problem, open iTunes 10.7 on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, then click Restore button of iTunes. If still problem, try DFU Mode Restore, here are the steps. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode can be difficult to enter sometimes, just keep trying. You said "reset," so Meg assumed that's what you did. But "reset" is not a button; to reset the phone you must hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. You may have to hold for up to 30 seconds, and if the battery was completely drained, you will have to restore iOS using iTunes on your computer.

So i woke up, was texting on my phone that works perfectly or so i thought.. Come back from getting something to eat and the phone won't turn on.. The first two approaches is reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.
