Phone wont turn on, when plugged in holds a solid red led or blinks very fast twice
SO my phone isn't turning on... i have tried to reload it on the pc but that hasn't worked. I have tried all the tricks from other similiar posts... any idea whats wrong with my z10?
come on people, surely someone knows how to bring life back to my phone

Hello, please help me I have an iphone 4 and it was working fine before but one day it was low on battery. I decided to charge it and it wont turn on and i left it in there a couple hours and still wont. So i have 2 differen't iphone chargers i tried both of them none work i dont think its the orignal charger that comes with the phone though. I dont know if that has anything to do with it or not but i was thinking it was the charger but i'm not sure. ANY help is appreciated i just wanna start using my iphone again. If you have more questions about the charger or phone please ask i will answer ASAP!
Do you know where i can buy an original iphone charger? Or will the place i bought it from let me use there charger until i get it atleast half charged so i can use the usb charger? Also thanks for your reply i thought no one would answer the question.

my iphone 4 stopped working.the screen went hazy a few times then white.tried a reset but now screens black and phone makes the charging noise every ten seconds when plugged in. any fixes. oh battery has 3.7volts constant
i solved this myself.a new digitizer and screen fitted .phone now ok..charging noise was to alert you that the digitizer had a fault

Hey AgentBlack K, Not a good sign. Could be a failed battery, if your unlucky. Could be a failed, shorting out cable. Either way, unplug your iPod. give it a couple of hours to cool down, then try a different cable, if still no joy a different power source. If it still gets hot but will not turn on, function, most likely the battery. Schedule an appointment with your Apple store and have your iPod evaluated, bring the cable also and have it checked out too. A new battery is $79.00 plus, tax, shipping etc. If the cable is within 1 year of purchase and an Apple product it can be replaced for free, if damage is not from abuse. Good luck. Cheers.

My iPhone 4 is shut off and wont turn back on, unless i plug it in an outlet & when i do that it says "connect to Itunes" & then i do that and the phone wont turn on & it shows nothing is plugged in . HELP!
& it keeps trying to turn on but it wont . like the apple logo pops up for a minute , then turns off.Had exact same problem. Rang Apple support and various apple repairers. All of them said in effect, too bad, you'll have to lose everything since your last backup. It's a work phone with very important stuff on it and the latest backup was on a computer that had a virus. Convergence of crap :/
Happened to talk to a friend who said to try replacing the battery. Did that. Problem fixed. All data saved.
To all Apple support people: rather than say 'once it's in recovery mode you lose all data' try saying 'replace your battery and see if that works first'!!!! -

If you've tried the basic troubleshooting steps (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new), and you've tried charging from a wall socket and these all fail, then you have a hardware problem.

The phone is telling you to plug in your phone to your computer. Do that then let it sit for a few minutes and then try it again and make sure itunes is open when you do

Try doing a restore in recovery mode or what is known as DFU.

Once in DFU mode, plug into iTunes and click Restore.
I know you said you tried all reset procedures, but I want to be sure.
Note: This will delete all your data on the Phone, hopefully you have a backup. -

If it isn't, obviously charge it since it needs some juice to simply start up. If it is, plug it into your computer since it is automaticlaly programmed to turn on when plugged in no matter what. -

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone. I would be concerned too if my iPhone was only turning on when connected to power. I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this. I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
