Phonebook/Contacts app for MW1 Smart Headset Pro

Hi,
I would like to see an app to reach contacts on my Android phone from my Smart Headset Pro.
There is an app named Phonebook for Smart Extras but that is for Smartwatch and does not work on Smart Headset Pro.
At least an app to rach favourite contacts would be great.
Also, I'm interested in other apps for MW1 as well but can't find much. Is there a list of supported apps ?

MW1 Smart Headset Pro - Malfuncion

I've had this unit for 3 months. It's been working as normal all this time, but yesterday something strange happened. The unit was fully charged and I had been using it with my Sony Acro S phone for about 30 minutes. Suddenly, the sound cut completely off. There was no preceeding low battery sound and no error message in the display. There was no error message in the display either. I could not turn the unit on, so I pressumed the battery was drained.
Upon coming homw, I put the device on charge. Nothing happened and the display did not turn on as normal After approx 15 minutes, this symbol showed up in the display.
I've tried factory reset, connecting the device to my computer, I've tried to carge the device as normal. While charging, the device gets noticably hotter than before.
I've only connected it to Sony chargers, I've used a Sony phone, I've updated the device when updates became available (though it has been working normal since last).
What could be wrong here?

This is due to a change in Yahoo's security settings. You need to go into your Yahoo account settings and create a special App Password, then use that password in Contacts to access your account. Same goes for Calendar.

Sony Xperia Z3 + Smart Headset Pro | Messaging Crash

Hi. I just got the Smart Headset Pro MW-1 to be able to receive calls while cycling. I've installed apps to allow my phone running Lollipop to push messages and notifications to the MW-1. As recommended in a forum I read, I shut down and powered both devices up after pairing and after the automatic update from the phone to the headset. Below are observations made I hope someone can help with :
1. I wanted to use TTS to let the device notify me if I received an email or a text message. It's working, but the voice volume is so low is it's useless on the road. I was using the stock Google TTS engin, by the way. Also, I tried incincreasing the voice volume manually (a volume bar appears really quickly on the phone when a text arrives and the phone notifies me) by triggering the volume bar to appear and sliding to all the way to the highest setting, but it only affects the notification being read, meaning the volume change reverts back to the original setting. I noticed that the TTS volume is set to about 10% of the volume scale, and at the very end of a voice notification, the volume goes up really fast, making the last second of the voice as loud as the media volume. I think something is overriding the TTS volume. I disabled the TTS feature add iit's useless to me in its current state.
2. When I read a text message on the MW-1, the messaging app crashes. I'm using the stock messaging app of the phone as well.
Is this a firmware issue On the headset or a lollipop issue on the phone?

Radio streaming from Smart Headset Pro to Android phone

Is there an Android app (or could I write one) that plays the radio stream from the Smart Headset Pro, e.g. using the phones speakers if the earplugs are not connected.

Sony MW1 Wireless Headset Pro is NOT working -- YOUTUBE

I have big problem with the MW1. I can't use a 32GB class 10 micro sd card. If more than 4GB, the device is lost.
Even if i use the 2GB micro sd, i can't read all song, if i try to play via artist or album, it shows maximum 2 songs and it does RESET Itself from time to time.
I can't stand this product anymore. I ve bought it 110 euros in France and 35 euros for the micro sd 32GB.
The MW1 is useless. It seems we all have the problem.
I confirm my firmware is the last 0.1.B.0.6
I do not use the radio...
It's now few days i'm reading this thread... Sony doesn't care, that's why i suggest we give SONY a deadline to allow us to use the Wireless Headset Pro as it should, otherwise i'll post Videos on youtube showing how this great product is working.
Reset, difference between your ad and the reality. Impossible to use Micro SD 32GB,, non stop reset, , player.album problem..
If like me, you feel really disappointed, you're welcome to do the same thing.
Sony, you have now 2 choices : Give us a full refund or make it work as advertised !!!

Not able to start Sony Smart Headset Pro MN2

Hi Support,
I had purchased Sony smart Wireless headset Pro MN2 5 months back and it was working fine (although I know there were limitations and were fixed with multiple updates) until 2 days back when suddenly I noticed a sudden issue.
My bluetooth device (MN2) suddenly got switched off (and I obviously though it ran out of battery) so I connected it to the charger and I saw an ICON on the display which displayed,
Computer --> Bluetooth Headset (That means connect bluetooth device (MN2 device) to your computer) and this just doesn't go away.
Please suggest what needs to be done.
It is also not detected in Sony PC Companion application.
Current firmware version is 0.1.D.0.6

I'd recommend you to re-install the software in the device with our program Sony Update Service, availalbe for download from the link below.

Feature Request: MW1 Wireless Headset Pro - Make Button configuarable

Hi Sony Support,
I'm using the MW1 in combination with my Xperia V and I'm pretty happy with it besides one thing which is actually really annoying. The round button next to the display diconnects the current call on short press or puts it on hold on a long button press.
I would rather like to use that button for mute/unmute as I'm stuck in a lot of conference calls and it would save me a lot of trouble when I could mute or unmute myself from the headset. Without this option I'm force to take out my my phone and do it there which is pretty inconvinient especially if you use the phone "on the go" running over an airport or to a train.
With my cabled headset the button on the mike just toggles mute/unmute, so switching between both when the battery is out I'm disconnecting a lot by accident :smileywink:
I looked for some mail to send a feature request but didn't find any so I'll try my luck here.
I would love to see an option to reconfigure the buttons behavior, like a software on the phone where I could select one of the following options for
- short press: Disconnect, Re-dial last inbound/outbound number, toggle Mute/Unmute
- double short press: Disconnect, Re-dial last inbound/outbound number, toggle Mute/Unmute
- long press: Disconnect, Re-dial last inbound/outbound number, toggle Mute/Unmute

Hi, can I also ask for old very nice feature to be returned to the current version of the software (0.1.E and above). Back in version 0.1.D.. and below you do not need to select media source (SD Card selection) when you need to listen or view media from the phone. I am using Xperia Arc S. Before when you press play in the phone it automatically switches the MW1 and you can hear the audio from the phone without manual intervention. When there is music currently playing from MW1's sd card, it automatically pause the playback then you can hear the audio from the phone then when you are through with the media on the phone, MW1 automatically resume playing from the SD Card. The feature is very convinient it do not need for me to install SMS notification apps. You can even hear the keyboard clicks if its not configured to be silent.
Many of us are looking for this feature when it is taken out during the introduction of the update.

I recently purchased a Mac Book Pro and find that it has,nt a facility to burn home movies fro imovie. After contacting apple they tell me to purchase a third party dvd burning app, After a little research on the app,s available from the app store the reviews are not good. Has anyone found a reliable app that will do the job,.

Toast is exellent but is no substitute for iDVD - but then nothing really is.

Quicktime can do this.
Open the MP4 in Quicktime Player. From the menu bar, File >Export > select quality. The subsequent file will be saved as .mov
Alternatively, you can simply change the extension on the mp4 file to mov since the codec is the same.
*I should mention that .mov format is not DVD format (TS_VIDEO), and the DVD will not play in a DVD player, even if you successfully burn the file to it.

An app for Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 does not exist. I have asked Verizon about this a number of times and have been ignored. The only positive of this is that the Android and IOS apps are all buggy, so it's highly likely that we're only missing out on another buggy app for the Windows platforms.

Built-in contacts app missing

I set up my Sports Watch 42mm Space Grey on Monday, but I can't find the built-in contacts app anymore on the app screen:
I can still see it in the iPhone Watch app listed under "My Watch" and change it's settings, but I can't get it to show. I know I deleted a bunch of apps from the watch by pressing their "x" their, so I maybe I deleted the contacts app as well.
How do I get it back?

Hi,
There is no contacts app for the Apple Watch which is why you cannot see it.
You can set your twelve friends for ease of access using the side button.
It is possible to view your contacts list from within the message and phone apps.
The contacts icon/ option is only in the Apple Watch app so you switch between mirroring your iPhone contacts or setting it to custom for the message and phone apps.
