Phonebook contacts problem...

Hi guys,
I will have to consult with you again,as another problem accured with my N78... Does anyone know why when a contact of mine is calling me i can see his mobile number but not his name even though the contact is in my SIM or Phone memory?!Thank you in advance!

My phone has latest software 30.014 for N78 (RM-236)
All my contacts are stored as +447xxxxxx in the phone memory, No contacts are stored on SIM card
My example number is "John Bloggs" Number stored is format +4471234
When I receive a voice call from above number. The number shown is 071234 but when I receive an SMS from the same person the name is recognised
Then when I change the number, dropping the +44 and store as 071234 the reverse happens. I get the name of the person calling but is not recognised when I receive an SMS
Can anyone help???

Social 1.3 - Phonebook search problem

Hi,
when I search for a contact in the phonebook, like I want to link it to see the facebook picture, it always fails with an error.... Can't tell you the exact error because I have the phone set to my native langauge. Anyone else having problems linking their phonebook contacts with the fb contacts? This is on the C7 btw.

removing the battery or restarting the phone doesnt help no. Does the social app find your fb contacts in the phonebook?
Back then Mail for Exchange didn't work with Google Apps it was Nokias firmware fault. It got fixed in 1.1 or 1.2 I suspect this is a social app problem. So im not going to reset the phone.
Isn't there a way to enable logging to see the exact error message?

Phonebook Contact Photos Look Terrible - what's wrong?

I have a T-Mobile Blackberry 8900 Curve (which I LOVE!) Just yesterday I updated the device software (v.4.6.1.231 using the new Desktop Software for MAC!) and I've noticed that all of my phonebook contact photos (for caller ID) are now compressed or look blurry/out of focus. When I pull the photos up in my Media file they look great-- but when someone calls or I place a call, the photo looks terrible! This has never been an issue before. Any ideas/suggestions?

Deselect "sync photos", which will take off all of your pictures during the following sync. Activate the option again and put them back onto your phone, that should solve your problem.

I'm having contacts problems. I just updated my iPhone 4S iOS to 6.0.1. And after that, I started having Contacts problems. My contact list is disappearing automatically, and I have to Import SIM everytime, to bring the contacts back.

It all started after updating my software to iOS 6.0.1. Contact problems, disappearing automatically, and I have to IMPORT SIM everytime when it happens, to bring my contacts back. And this is happening more when I'm using Whatsapp application. Every two hours using Whatsapp, my contact list is dissapearing, I'm seeing only numbers. I thought it was an Whatsapp problem, but after that, when I go into my Phone's contact list, I can see nothing ! Empty ! So I guess it's a software problem or something. Please help. Thank you.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Contact problems

Hello,
I have a BlackBerry 9300 and i have contact problems with my phone.
I tried to sync my contacts with Funambol but, when the sync is done, I can't read or delete my contacts. My BB's OS version is 5.0.
So, I upgraded my BB to 6.0, then I didn't have this problem anymore.
Can somebody explain me why I have this problem. I' m a presales Engineer at a Frensh ISP, and we want to provide our customers a sync solution with Funambol, but all our BBs are on 5.0.

Yes! It keeps changing the contact pics! Hate that. I have one set and the phone decides to switch to a Facebook pic. Linking SHOULD be clever, but the way BlackBerry does it, it's annoying.

Bluetooth Car Kit - with phonebook contact working...

Hey all,
I know we have had a few updates to the bluetooth stack since i last seen a post with an issue with the above.
Now this issue relates to me now as i have changes cars and do not have bluetooth whatsoever.
Is there any car kits now that support Phonebook / Contact Lists yet??

I've tested, VW, AUDI, SEAT, SKODA, PARROT,KUFATEC and have not been able to transfert my phone book at all..
I'm still hoping the Rsap profile will be added one day, my phone is useless on any car kit, no Rsap and no phonebook in HFP mode!!

Contact problems with 920

I just got a review 920 from Nokia, and i have a contacts problem.
I was under the impression that contacts were automatically stored in the linked Hotmail account, and this seems to be the case because all my Lumia 800 contacts are listed when i go to my account in the web browser. But, when i put that account into my 920, none of the contacts appeared. So i then added my Google account, which brought most of them down, then Facebook, then linked them together and hid my Facebook friends from showing. All working fine - annoying that they weren't pulled immediately from Hotmail, but they're there now.
However, i rebooted the phone, and when i opened People, they were all unlinked and Facebook contacts were showing again. OBviously i don't want to be fixing this on every reboot, so is there something i'm not doing correctly? I never had this problem on my Lumia 800.

No sorry, it brought all my Google contacts, but those represent most of my overall contacts - the rest are in Hotmail.
In people > settings > filter, Hotmail is ticked, Facebook is not. But my Facebook contacts are all displaying, and everything is unlinked after i rebooted. And my Hotmail contacts just won't download, even though it should automatically. So this is a major pain.

E61 Which phonebook + contact manager ?

Which phonebook + contact manager (possibly in sync with Thunderbird ... or Outlook 2003)
would you suggest ?
The one with my E61 + PC Suite doesn't work properly
and I'd like a better control of data and phone from the PC .
Any clue ?

PMJI, but if you boughtand paid for Office 2007 Small Business Edition, you should have received a disc. You need to take this up with Toshiba. I'm assuming that you have retained the invoice for the notebook.

Have just upgraded from a 6300 to an E75. Saved my phonebook contacts on the new sim card, inserted new sim card in new phone - how do I retrieve contacts and save them to the phone?

(1) Contacts > Names > Options > Mark all
then
(2) Contacts > Names > Options > Move Marked SIM to Phone
when you inserted the sim was there not an option to copy contacts to phone?

My phonebook/contacts has stopped working, so I can't call or find numbers. All this since the update, everything else seems fine at the moment.

I'm a bit confused, how do you mean that it does not work? What happens when you enter the phonebook, do you receive any error message?
Where is the contacts stored? Do you sync via Gmail or an Exchange account or is it local contacts? After the repair, did you restore any backup were your contacts was stored?

E6-00 Problem with Phonebook/Contacts

My contacts in my phone book just suddenly disappears, usually following a phone call; such that when there is a new incoming call, i have no idea who is calling me (even though I have already saved their names and numbers in my contacts) because the phonebook is not working. I have to change the setting "contacts to display" to sim memory then back to phone memory to make them show up again (my contacts are all saved in my phone memory). When there is another phone call, the cycle continues! Please help!

Problem with SMS and phonebook contact

Today it is the first time I had this kind of problem. I received a message from A person but my Q10 shows B person's name. I have double checked the number again and again, it is A person's number....the wired thing is how could it be shown in B person's name for SMS.

There have been many reports of contacts linking to other contacts without the user's input. If you tap on the contact in question, then tap on the pencil icon for Edit, at the bottom there will be a chainlink icon. Tap on that and you will see any other contacts to which that one is linked, as well as an option to un-link.
I have experienced this and it's very frustrating. It seems to me that having multiple cloud sources for contacts causes this. I had to wipe my device to factory settings, then add back only a single cloud source for contacts. I did not re-enable LinkedIn contacts nor did I turn on Verizon's own backup app. So far no more phantom linking.

Phonebook contacts have gone from car since updating to v2.0

Via Bluetooth the contacts in my iPhone appeared in the phonebook in my car until I updated to version 2.0. Today I downloaded and installed v 2.0.1 hoping this would fix the problem. No luck.
Can I reinstall the old software 1.xx to get my phonebook back in the car? or does anyone know how I can fix this?

C6 contacts problem (please heeelp !!!)

Hi, I got some annoying problem on my Nokia C6 :
When Im in the messaging menu or reading a SMS or even whenever someone calls me, I can't see the names of my contacts anymore !!!
It used to work perfectly until just a few days ago, and it's quite annoying since I don't know my contacts' numbers by heart :/
I tried removing my memory card, in case it would be corrupted, and also I restored the factory default settings, nothing helps.
Also interesting fact : I have an app which allows me to preview my messages when they've come less than a few seconds ago, and this app is still able to show the contacts' names.
Strange thing also : it only started with one single contact (the most used one) and now its with everyone.
And I can still see my contacts in the phonebook menu
Any helpful comment would be rewarded with a cookie.
