I doubt that you can find any downloads of PSE6 any more -- it's four years old by now.

Try launching the editor and entering your serial number there if asked.

I have lost my DVD of Photoshop Elements 9 but I have the serial number. I have changed computer and I do not know how to redownload it. I can download version 12 but my serial obviously does not work for that version. Any clue on how to access the version I bought? Thanks!

Phoshop Elements 10 stops halfway through project

Hello,
Since yesterday, whenever a project was being worked on Photoshop Elements, the program would randomly stop working. Since then, the project has been saved as it has been worked on, but do you know of the actual problem? If so, is there any long-term solution to this problem that any of you may know of?

If there was a time that this didn't happen but now it happens all the time, indications are that it very much IS a system resoruce problem.
How much free, freshly defragmented space is on your C drive? You'll need at least 20-30. You should also ensure that it is tmp and spyware free, per my maintenance regiment in the FAQs:

Also, if you are editing to a second or external hard drive, ensure that it is formatted NTFS (and not FAT32, as they come from the factory) and that it is defragmented and has at least 100 gigabytes of free space.
Finally, ensure that the Work Area Bar along the top of your timeline is over your entire project and not merely over a small segment of it.
It may also be helpful to post a screen capture of your timeline so that we can have a look.

Adobe Photoshop element 10

J'ai acheté Adobe Phoshop Element 10 et j'ai installé sur mon portabe tout va bien, par conte lorsque je désire l'installer sur mon autre ordinateur (tour) tout semble d'installer correctment, mais lorsque je clique sur l'îcone seule la page d'acceptation du contract apparaît, rien d'autre s'ouvre. Quoi faire pour corriger ce problème.

Did you receive any error messages when you tried to install on the second computer? Which operating system are you using on this computer btw? There is normally an inner box (white cardboard) and if you pull it out the serial number should be found. It will commence 1057-

I purchase Phoshop Elements 10.0 from the App store and did not come the orgainzer to share to Facebook, Smugmug, Youtube. but when you buy it from Adobe website it comes complete. Why is this.....

Probably because you can already do all that via iphoto, etc. But nobody but adobe can say why.

Photomerge Panorama is greyed-out/ disabled?!

I just installed PSE 8 on my Mac and everything went smoothly. Having already played around with the trial version, I was excited to try the Photomerge Panorama function. Unfortunately, as it did with my trial version, when I went to File > New, all the Photomerge options come up, but the only option that is greyed-out and unable to be selected is the Photomerge Panorama! Has this happened to anyone? Advice, please...

Please make confirm that whether you are working in 'Guided Edit Mode' or 'Full Edit Mode'. If you are working in 'Guided Edit Mode' then Panorama feature won't be activated. It will be enabled in 'Full Edit'.
You can check the mode by looking at the right top corner of Phoshop Elements Editor. The orange tab will be showing the edit mode. If 'Full Edit mode' is selected and then also you are seeing the same problem, please get back to me. Otherwise just change the mode from Guided to Full, Panorama option will start to work. Please reply me that this solution worked for you or not....

Using Adobe Bridge with Photoshop Elements

I have an iMAC with iLife 08.
I take photos in RAW format with a Nikon camera.
I have been editing photos this way:
After uploading photos to iPhoto, export them as jpg to a new folder on the desktop, external HD or wherever. I open Photoshop Elements, edit the exported photo.
Then I'm stuck with my edits outside of iPhoto, unless I then import them back into iPhoto. It works, but it's cumbersome.
Today I thought I'd try a different route. I opened Photoshop Elements, and tried to use Bridge to browse photos. I can find the iPhoto library easy enough, but if I click on it, it opens iPhoto, and I'm stuck - can't open the photos in Photoshop.
I am hoping that if I do it correctly, I can save my edits directly back into iPhoto.
Any ideas?

Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

ELEMENTS 11 no work on Mac Book Pro 10.9.5 mavericks

Now I am completely confused, I have MBP 10.9.5 , first of all my photos went to REVELL/ before and NOW A Orgainizer took them in? I DID ZERO! are there still photos on REVELLE? and why now wont this ElEMENTS 11 NOT WORK ON MY MAC?

Photoshope Elements when selecting an action, the paint brush tool doesn't work and system keeps freezing, then catching up every 30-45 seconds

I have been having this problem with elements ever since the last OS upgrade, but it wasn't all the time and it wasn't very bad. Now, I have upgraded my macbook again, and I cannot even edit a photo!! I open the photo, choose an action, say "smooth skin", then choose the paint brush, I start to "paint" over their face and it won't paint a line, I have to keep clicking it, click - it paints, move brush, click again - it paints. Plus, every time I choose a tool or an action, it freezes for about 10 seconds, then catches up to what I am doing, 30 seconds later, it freezes again. HELP!! I have 8 sessions to finish editing by this weekend!! I just want to cry!!

In my sale order i will give wbs element and now i want to check "for one sale order , what are the wbs elements"

You can check the WBS for a sales order from the table view of VBAP.
The WBS field is PS_PSP_PNR.
Goto SE16 and give VBAP.
Enter your sales order number and execute. Look for your WBS elements in foeld PS_PSP_PNR for the different line items.
You can also create a quick SAP query on this.

Unable to load project (prel file) into Premier Elements 7.0

just installed 7.0 ..when attempting to load a project (slide show for play back on a DVD) created in Elements 3.0 .. get error that "The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements" .. I have no problem loading the same project in Elements 3.0. Also seems specific to this file, an other project create under 3.0 appears to load with out error. I should point out that the project that will not load was created in Elements 5.0 and exported over to Premier Element 3.0 to create a playable DVD .. the file that will load was created in Premier Elements 3.0 (not sure if that is significant but more information is better then less) .. any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated ..thanks

Unfortunately, the last part of that error says it all. Something is used, that no longer is in PE7, or has been changed significantly. Could be an Effect, a Transition (though those usually just disappear, and the file still Imports - PrPro gives a warning, and tells you which Transition is missing, and the TimeCode of where it was used), or something else.
If you have PE3, you can do two things:
1.) finish the edit there and Export to your delivery format
2.) Export a DV-AVI file and bring THAT into PE7
Neither is quite as good as being able to Import the .PREL and work on it in PE7, but those are about the only choices that I see. Now, if you have any clue as to what the Effect (whatever) is, that's causing the problem, you *might* be able to open a COPY of the .PREL in WordPad, search for that Effect, eliminate reference to it, and then Save as a .PREL. That might be a lot of work, and might well destroy that COPY of the file - that's why you work on a COPY.
