Photo album automatically copies other album
When creating a new album in iphoto, it seems to start by copying one of my other albums. Then I have to manually erase all the photos in the new album before adding the wanted photos. Is there a way to start with a blank album?

when I set up my 'new' iphone 4, itunes automatically downloaded to my phone my other family members photos albums. How do I remove them? The labums that I do not want on my phone are taking up storage space on my phone!! I am obviously not tech savvy!!

The new ios version of iPhoto allows sharing. Here's a blurb from Apple's web site:

I have not used ios version of iPhoto to share "journals" and I'm not sure this is part of iCloud or not. You'll have to do a google search on "ios iphoto" and read up of this journal thing. As far as I know, this is the only way of sharing photos. I'm not sure whether other friends use a browser to view these journals or whether they need something special. Any way - search around to find answers. -
Automatic update in creating a photo album

album with the edited folder or is there a way to automatically

entire album or manually add and remove images and pages.
This involves deleting removed pages, images and thumbnails,
then manually
re setting the links between pages and re-arranging the
thumbnails.
If you used the image counter and you're really anal, you'll
need to edit
that one page at a time as well.

Recovered Photos album automatically created, but no error messages.
Previously when I opened iPhoto, I received a message (or rather 2 {I believe} duplicate messages) about importing recovered photos. I clicked OK and it created a Recovered Photos album, but its contents were empty. I deleted this album by putting it into iPhoto's Trash. When I reopened iPhoto, I received the message again, but this time it created a "Recovered Photos 2" album.
I quit iPhoto and deleted the Import folder from my iPhoto Library. Now I don't get any messages, but the Recovered Photos (not Recovered Photos 2) album is still there. If I trash it and restart iPhoto, the it is automatically created again.
How can I stop iPhoto from automatically creating the Recovered Photos album? I'm not receiving any error messages or messages whatsoever.Addendum to all about this question - I am trying to import my original CDs - hangs and does nothing at first track. Trashed the .plist, no help. Reinstalled fresh copy of iTunes - helped - FOR ONE DISK. After that, same problem.

LOST FAMILY PHOTO'S AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOADED TO Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2.
My photos were automatically downloaded to the above mentioned sight and although I can see the photo's stored a registration message pops up and I am not able to access them, the photo's were also automatically deleted from my camera. I am aware that Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 is no longer available and have tried to download an updated trial version but this appears to taking forever and a virus message keeps appearing. If this Photoshop is unavailable why was it still available for my photo's to disappear into?

XML Photo Album to play automatically
Hi,
I've come across a great tutorial and source files for the

Family Sharing is set up, and "My Photo Stream" and "iCloud Photo Sharing" features are enabled on all devices. However, I would like to limit which photos are shared in the Family Sharing photo album. Here are two scenarios:
I'm shopping for a gift for my daughter at the store, and I see the item I think she'll like. In Messages I want to snap a photo to send to my wife to get her buy-in (authorization), but when I do this, the photo is also automatically uploaded to the Family Sharing album, and my daughter can see it on her iPod Touch until I delete it from iCloud.
On her iPod Touch, my daughter browses images of kittens and cats, cats and kittens (she's 10), and saves many of them to her camera roll to view later. In turn, our Family Sharing photo album is full of random pictures of kittens.
Perhaps all I need to do is turn off "My Photo Stream", to prevent all photos being uploaded to all devices automatically? And in the event I want to share a photo or an event/moment, I can create a Photo Stream on the spot...?Probably the best solution is to put your daughter on her own iCloud ID (but under your name since she's under-aged). She can continue to use your ID for iTunes store purchases. If you set her up with a separate iCloud ID, then her photo activity and yours will remain separate.
The Family Sharing feature may not be relevant or helpful in this scenario -- as I understand it, Family Sharing is for the sharing of purchases, not iCloud, and only in situations when family members have separate IDs for purchases but want to also share the purchases from a "central ID" (e.g. Parent's ID) -
I added my wife and I in family sharing and we can share the app now.
But it's not create any family photo album, family reminder or family calendar automatically. Why and how can I do?I was having the same problem - Family Calendar not showing up on a device after setup of Family Sharing. Tried lots of stuff but finally powered down and restarted the device and it showed up just fine.

Does anybody know how to restore photos on the iPhone 4?
My phone automatically updated my photo album and it made duplicates of each photo.
I deleted one of each as it maxed out my memory. When I went to view the photos I just got a black screen. I have now lost all my
Photos :( if I synch my phone what will happen?The only way to lose content on the device is restore as "new" from iTunes or "Erase All Content and Settings" from the device.
Start by resetting or restarting the device to see if that rectifies the problem. -
I have 2 photo albums on my iPhone that i want to delete. One is called "Photo Library" the other is called "iPhonePics". I cannot delete any of the photos in either album. How do I delete the photos and/or the albums?
You can uncheck multiple songs by selecting all the songs you want to uncheck, then right-click and choose "uncheck selection". Also, make sure that you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos" on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings or the sync process will ignore your selections.
You can remove all the photos from your camera roll using Preview on your Mac. Connect your phone to your Mac, open Preview, go to File>Import from iPhone. When your photos appear in Preview, select the photos you want to delete, then click on the icon at the bottom showing the red circle with the diagonal line through it (see image below), then click Delete.
To remove photos from the Photo Stream album on your phone you'll have to either reset Photo Stream (deleting all the photos from iCloud) or turn off Photo Stream on your phone. -
How can I erase a photo album that was uploaded from an old computer that I don't have no more? I have other albums in the Iphone that I don't want to delete.
If you sync with the new computer it will erase the current content from the iphone and replace with the selected content of the new computer.
The pics that you have taken with the iphone should be imported regularly to your computer as you would with any digital camera. You can then organize them and sync them back to the iphone if you wish.
If you have had itunes perform a backup on the new computer, you should get the pics taken with the iphone back, but I would import them before trying anything. -
When I updated to iOS 8.3 I lost all shared photo albums on my iPad Air. Other devises which I shared to still have access to photo albums but my iPad does not, therefore I can no longer add or delete to shared albums. I can create new shared albums.

If you are having issues accessing your Shared Albums from your iPad (but not from your other devices), you may want to double-check your iCloud Photo Sharing configuration as outlined in the following articles, just to make sure it hasn't changed:

Dear Community members,
I am unable to synch photo albums from iPad 3 to iTunes on my Windows 7 pc.
In addition to Camera roll and iPod cache default albums, I have 6 other albums made from pix derived from the camera roll. Eg - Family pix in a folder, Office pix in another, Plant pixs in another, House architecture pix in another.......all also exist in the camera roll.
I have trawled the net for the last 8 hrs in vain!
I have ios5 on Ipad 3 and the latest Itunes on Windows PC.
As a precaution, I have used the windows "add pictures from...." to keep a copy in a separate folder in the windows desktop, but again it has all the pics mixed up together and not sorted as per the various albums in the ipad!
How to replicate the albums in the windows PC???

Sohal NSSync the photos back to the iPad using iTunes. You have to place the photos into a folder from which you sync photos. All photos that you want to sync to the device must be included in the main photos folder and selected to sync each time that you sync.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
Click on the Sync Photos From heading in order to select it.
Select the photos folder that you want to sync from.
Select all of the albums or photos within the folder that you want to sync.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Automatic creation of photo album and mixing of photos post sync
hey,
i am facing a very unexpected issue:
- once I start syncing my iphone 5 with my laptop the below issue arises
~ there are around 7000 photos under 21 folders and size of all album is around 6GB (only photos and I don't sync videos)
~ the itunes starts by syncing all the albums available by creating it on the iphone
~ however, the photos don't get get sync in one go (so it breaks the total photos packs as 4500-2000-500 to sync all 7000 photos and I need to sync it three times)
~ to reslove this issue, I have deleted all photos and again synced multiple times and changed the data cable already
~ it has twice happened that some of the album didn't show up and the photos didn't sync also
~ after using it for sometime, on the iPhone, there are recreation of albums first with the same name and photos from different albums get mixed and be a part under different albums (when I check on the iTunes - the size of the total album doesn't change though)
~ the original albums remain intact with the right photos initially but over a period of sometime, their photos also get jumbled up automarically and in the end I would get to see around 45-50 photo albums (with original album being duplicated twice or thrice and Atleast 2-3 times the number of original photos being jumbled up and lying in different album groups)
~ however there is no change in the size of the photos on iTunes and if I sync it further, more album duplication happens
i have deleted all photos from iPhone numerous time and re-synced it but it doesn't work
i have changed the data cable but it remains the same
i have deleted the full folder on my laptop with the ipod cache and re-sync it but still it doesn't work
My phone is always updated to the latedt software update (iOS 8.3 and whatever updates are there on iTunes or other applications)
this has started happening after iOS 8 update and specially with the introduction of 'recently deleted' folder on the photo app And the above picks great speed if I edit / delete photos from my camera
this could also be some bug or error and since there is no option to my best of understanding to delete and re-install the default photo app, I am finding hugely difficult to fix up the issue and seek advise

piyushso total of my photos on iphoto are 1768, and i tried delete some of it, and when i sync back, i though oh maybe the space isnt enough ( worth to try though, cz i really dont know whats wrong) and instead of sync correctly, ITS NOT!!! its now sync only for 1683 photos, while on iphoto contains 1717 photos, and please i have 5,5 gb free space at the moment!
* i actually dont know how I gain so much free space after backup and restoring.
