Photo albums messed up again after update

Once again, after an iOS update, the last 12 months and last imported photos albums showed up on the phone even though the boxes are not checked in iTunes before or after those updates.
As the with last time, the only way to remove those two albums was to sync an older iPhoto library, then re-sync the current iPhoto library as a replacement.
That clears the two, unwanted albums, but why have the last two iOS updates cause this problem?

Hi,
I think the easiest way to fix this is go into iTunes and rename all the tracks in your "Greatest Hits" albums with unique album names, e.g "Black Lace Greatest Hits" and "Greatest Hits - The Sweet" etc. You can even be as subtle as just adding a "." or hyphen or extra space, it will make the name different and your Touch will be able to distinguish different albums.
The Albums should then sort them selves out after a synch.
Good luck,
Dud.

  • How do I solve this problem:Photo's no longer displayed (Adobe Flash player 13,0,0,214) in online photo album maker (Webprint.nl) after update to Firefox 29.0.1

After I (automatically) updated to Mozilla Firefox version 29.0.1, the online photo album crreator of Webprint.nl no longer displayes the photo's that I uploaded.
The photo's are displayed again when I use an older Firefox browser (version 28.*) from an another computer. This is my old (WIndows Vista) computer that I use when my new Windows 7 computer has problems.
It looks like the new Firefox has a problem with Adobe Flash player 13,0,0,214; which is the newest version according to Adobe.
    Please help!

photos on screen saver gone after update of apple tv

Welcome to the  Discussion Forums
Why are you looking in a shared library, is itunes set up as a secondary library.
    See This
If you are set up as a primary library you need to look in my tv shows.
When you say you have reinstalled everything, does that include itunes (if so how did you do that), does it include rebuilding your itunes library.

  • Updates appear again after updating

I have several of the photo apps from the App Store. Yesterday, I updated 18 of them. Today, 8 of those appear again for updating. I checked the versions and they are the same as the ones from yesterday. I use a Macbook (Snow Leopard) and an external hard drive as Hard Drive Copy using SuperDuper. I updated the backup after the App Store updates so the Apps should be the same version on both drives. What's happening? Thanks.

Read the info in your link. Are those terminal commands? I've never used it.
When I did my first backup with SuperDuper a week ago, I erased my Macbook's hard drive. Disk Utility found no problems with the hard drive, so I then restored it from the backup. Macbook has been running normally since then, except for the App Store problem. Do problems restore along with the other data?
I see that I have App Store updates awaiting now - it is only one and not one of the previous.
Thanks for the replies. I appreciate your time.

  • Can't get the right contacts and photos back on my phone after updating software, it has loaded my old iPhone 3GS contacts and apps that we're in the iTunes library , how can I get my new stuff back

How do I get my contacts and photos back for my iPhone 4 , after updating to ios5 it loaded my old phones info so I lost contacts messages and photos an video

    Hello johnohuk,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like most of your music was purchased from the iTunes Store. If your country supports iTunes in the Cloud, you can download your past purchases using this article:

  • Photos 1.0 not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary folder/file after update install

I installed the update that changed my iPhoto to Photos 1.0, and the new Photos program is not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder (not sure to call it file or folder since it is actually a folder with all my pics but it acts more like a file) after update install.  The Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder shows to be 55 gb in size, and it shows to be loaded into the photos program, but there are maybe a few weeks of pictures showing instead of a few years.  Lots of pictures in the 55 gb are not showing for some reason.

No - iPhotos has not replaced anything - it is new and an addition - iPhoto is still on your system in the applications folder and still works just fine
Outlook is not supported by Photos - not sure if the support must come form Apple or MS as Photos uses a different interface to external packages than iphoto did

  • Duplicate music albums and song listing after updating to iOS 5

Anyone else seeing duplicate music albums in carousel mode?  After updating to iOS 5 i notice a few albums have duplicate albums or song listing.
I have 1 album thats duplicated 8 times in carousel mode and twice in album listing, none are excalty the same. Example 8 albums, each either holds all the songs or part of the album. Duplicate albums would 3-4 of the same songs, although there is only one file when viewing thru itunes.
    Any answers would help, thanks

Thanks but i just tired that ad it didnt work either. All my albums are in order with tracks, artist, disc and etc. Never had a problem with this when i was on iOS 4.
Additional Note: Videos no longer continue where i left off even though the option to do so has been selected.
Anyone experiencing lag on their Touch Gen4? Like shutter sound when you put the screen to sleep takes a second after the button is pressed which use to be instant.
Apple...got any take on these matters?

  • ZEN micro: problem with song/album/title/genre renaming after update - pls he

    hi!
after updating my zen micro to the new firmware (playforsure) and the necessary software update of the media source organizer - i wasn?t able to rename the title on the player - like before the update: it'ss only possible to rename them one by one and not e.g. a full album (genre).
BTW: why has the user interface changed that much - all songs i?ve arranged before the update had to be rearranged and that isn?t possible anymore in the way it was before...
    thx

    You can try these two:
    http://www.mp3tag.de/en/index.html
    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/godfather.html
If they're not to your liking, try Google. These are not the only ones, but they're good (and free). Tag & Rename is also very good, but it costs a few bucks.

  • Help - "All Photos" album cannot be regenerated after accidental deletion

I accidentally deleted the "All Photos" album in my Aperture db.
I tried William Lloyd's instructions from another discussion (see here - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7323811&#7323811 )
...but that did not work for me:
all I see now under Library for the built-in albums are these:
    All Projects
    * or better
    Rejected
    In the Last Week
    In the Last Month
Is there a way to fix this?

Try turning on buffering for Scenarion Sales in the table T77OMATTR. This should help solve you issue.

  • "All Photos" album order mixed up after restore (device change)

I recently had to back up and restore an iPhone 6 to a new iPhone 6.
I did a full backup to iTunes, then restored to the new iPhone 6 from that backup.
Everything was restored, including all photos... (I have iCloud Photo Library turned on)... EXCEPT in the "All Photos" default album on my phone, the photos are not in the usual date order.  They are all mixed up, mostly in large consecutive chunks, but with some individual photos randomly dispersed.  No pattern that I can see otherwise.  It looks like: (Jan-Mar 2010)--(Apr 2013-Nov 2013)--(Apr-2010-Feb 2013)--(Dec 2013-Feb 2014)--(Apr 2014-Sep 2014)--(Feb 2015 to today).  Something like that.
The "Photos" tab, where you see collections, years, etc, is in date order.  On iCloud.com, it is in the right order in the "All Photos" album.  However, it is in the *wrong* order on my iPad, where I also have iCloud Photo Library turned on.
    What I have tried:
    1) Turning off, then turning back on iCloud Photo Library beta.
    2) Full erase and restore from iCloud
    3) Full erase and restore from a new backup
One more option would be to try restoring from the backup I made before the new iPhone 6, but then I would lose changes since then (about 2 weeks), and I would rather try to avoid that.
Has anyone seen this before?  Why is this happening, and what else can I try to fix the order?  I saw another thread about out of order events, but this seems different.

I have noticed this as well. The actual dates in the meta data of the photos are correct, however they are displaying completely out of order in 'All Photos' in iOS and OSX Photos.

  • Most of my album artwork is missing after updating to iOS 5

I just updated my iPod Touch 4G to iOS 5 and now all my album artwork is missing. What should I do?
Is there a way to get back the album art in my iPod?
    Can Apple fix this problem?

Have a similar situation; album art was all there (added the correct way in iTunes) and I Manually Sync my 4G Touch. After the iOS5 update, I ‘Dragged & Dropped’ one Smart-Playlist to the Touch and then lost 80% of the Album Art on the Touch. What really is upsetting, the Art is there. Dock the iPod and iTunes show’s the Art listed and within ‘Get Info’ for the iPod.
This need to STOP, more then 10 years of using iPod without this problem and in the last two months had to reload 3-times already since getting the 4G Touch; great loss of time with a 64G. Add a Warning! or something. Maybe it’s an issue with iTunes 10.5.0.142, OS-Win-7?
UPDATE: for this scenario, I think the Art got corrupted by older Art listed in iTunes. When I fixed the 1st occurrence of missing Art, I only fixed what was on the iPod to save time (only 30% bad) and then when I ‘Sync’ed’ a Playlist from iTunes, 80%  of Art then got corrupted. There are trade-off’s to both Auto and Manual Syncing. Like I said; “a Warning! would be nice” OR how about “Asking”; “Do You Wish To Overwrite The Existing Art?”

  • Photos appear as negative images after updating to iOS 7

I have the iPhone 4S.  After downloading iOS 7, my photos are still present but appear as negative images.  Anyone else have this problem?

It is still there and the same as before, you just have to click on the various views available.  I think it is the album view that shows the Camera Roll first as before.  The default view after downloading iOS 7 is not the same, but you can change  it.

  • Anyone figure out how to get Powershot G2 to work again after update to 1.5

All my raw files from my Powershot G2 are now "Unsupported" since the update. Has anyone figured out how to update the program to allow support for that camera again? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

You can get the old hack for the Canon Powershot G2 RAW support to work again on 10.4.8 and Aperture 1.5, and you do NOT need to revert back to the old 10.4.7 IO Frameworks file. The solution is to download the new 2006-01 RAW Camera Support update from Apple's web site. Here is the link version for PPC machines (which is what I have):
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/digitalcamerarawsupportupdateppc.html
There his also a Universal version on Apples site (but I have not tried this version):
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/digitalcamerarawsupportupdateuniversal.ht ml
After you install this update, it will place a new copy of the RAW.plist file in the usual place:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/ImageIO.fram ework/Versions/Current/Resources/Raw.plist
Edit this file with the old hack, making sure to add the "<!-- 10.4.0 -->" to the 1st line and save it back. A few notes on this:
    1) I'm not sure whether the "<!-- 10.4.0 -->" is needed, but similar items appear in all other cameras now, so no harm in adding it.
    2) To place the editted version back in the library, I had to 1st move the old RAW.plist file to the trash, then copied the editted version to the library. I then restarted to allow me to delete the version in the trash (otherwise the system thinks it is still in use).
    3) To be safe, I also did a repair permisssions (which did repair the permissions of the new RAW.plist file).
After this, I was able to open Powershot G2 RAW files in Aperture and PReview (have not tried iPhoto, but is shoudl also work there).
Here is the hacked code for the Canon G2 camera.

  • Hi, does anyone have issues with the Camera app uploading photos to the photo album? This happens after I downloaded iOS8.1.2

I have just updated my iPhone iOS to 8.1.2. Since then, the camera is not able to upload photos to the album immediately and some are even lost. Does anyone have the same issue or know how to fix this?

I found it much easier to have my apps on the last page and let the pre-loaded apps stay where they are on the first couple of pages.  While I'd prefer to have my apps first, at least they are all together.  I found it far too much work to try to move them around another way, plus it shifts some things around in a way that I did not intend.
BTW, I definitely prefer the Fascinate's arrangement of the icons over the Droid X2, which is always in alphabetical order in a vertical non-stop continuum.
