Photo Albums order into AppleTV

Hello,
looking at my photo library from the Apple Tv 2nd gen I don't see them in the same order as they are shown into iPhoto on my macMini,
it seems the Apple Tv shows them sorting by the import date into ATV, while i would like to have them sorted alphabetically..
what I can do to reorder the album list onto my Apple TV?

This is bassackwards and makes no since when the iPhone places newest images first also. It makes me scroll through 1000's of photos every time I want to show clients something. You can import images into iFile app, for fix for presentations... But Apple needs to fix or at least match iPhone procedures. Why they are not addressing #1 user complaint I'm not sure.

"All Photos" album order mixed up after restore (device change)

I recently had to back up and restore an iPhone 6 to a new iPhone 6.
I did a full backup to iTunes, then restored to the new iPhone 6 from that backup.
Everything was restored, including all photos... (I have iCloud Photo Library turned on)... EXCEPT in the "All Photos" default album on my phone, the photos are not in the usual date order. They are all mixed up, mostly in large consecutive chunks, but with some individual photos randomly dispersed. No pattern that I can see otherwise. It looks like: (Jan-Mar 2010)--(Apr 2013-Nov 2013)--(Apr-2010-Feb 2013)--(Dec 2013-Feb 2014)--(Apr 2014-Sep 2014)--(Feb 2015 to today). Something like that.
The "Photos" tab, where you see collections, years, etc, is in date order. On iCloud.com, it is in the right order in the "All Photos" album. However, it is in the *wrong* order on my iPad, where I also have iCloud Photo Library turned on.
What I have tried:
1) Turning off, then turning back on iCloud Photo Library beta.
2) Full erase and restore from iCloud
3) Full erase and restore from a new backup
One more option would be to try restoring from the backup I made before the new iPhone 6, but then I would lose changes since then (about 2 weeks), and I would rather try to avoid that.
Has anyone seen this before? Why is this happening, and what else can I try to fix the order? I saw another thread about out of order events, but this seems different.

I have noticed this as well. The actual dates in the meta data of the photos are correct, however they are displaying completely out of order in 'All Photos' in iOS and OSX Photos.

Apple TV Photo Album Order

I just noticed that for some reason, the photo albums that I initially synced to my Apple TV appear alphabetically -- and then right after all of those albums, any new photo albums I synced subsequently appear alphabetically (i.e., A-Z original albums, A-Z new albums).
Has anyone else noticed this, and is there any way to fix this?
I just checked and my iPod Classic does the exact same thing. I have no idea why. I'm using the standard defaults in iTunes.

Yes I just synched new photos and the old photo folders appear alpabetically in "my photos" but the new folders only show in a new alphabetical list at the bottom of the old folder list.

Photo albums order

When i first got my iphone i added about 7 folders and they were listed in alphabetical order...i just added another 5 folders but there listed in alphabetical order, behind the first batch of folders...how do you list them all in alphabetical oder...
it seems to list the folders by date when created..is there a simple method to chage how the albums are listed?

In the Photos tab you can drag the albums in the list to change the order.

Needed: Script to copy Photo album name into the comments field for pix

I was never in the habit of applying anything to photo comments, but gave my albums a desriptive name so I knew what they were. Now I wish I had because album titles are not searchable. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to create an Automator workflow or Applescript that could take the Album Name and apply it to the comments field for each picture in the album. I have over 25,000 pictures and quite a few albums. I've started to do it manually for each album but would love to find a quicker way to accomplish this.

FYI, it will step through every album; get its name; and then step through every photo in the album and change the comments to the album's name.
I recommend that you make a back-up before proceeding!

How to convert iWeb photo album slideshows into iMovies?

iLife '06/iMovie HD 6
I have some slide shows that would probably be much more interesting if I converted them into iMovies with transitional effects, music, etc.
I bought iLife '06 and Tiger in July, '06 and now have my website up and running but aside from making an iMovie out of my footage taken with my Sony digital video camera recorder (DCR-TRV 11) I want to make those still slideshows more interesting.

I have SEEN iMovies which are made with stills, so I know that it is possible; I just don't know how to do it, and have never worked with iMovie.

I really don't understand what you're trying to say. If I have a folder in A, and I move it to B, then the folder will be in B. There is no duplication. I still have only one folder, only the location is different.
Furthermore, your desktop is on your hard drive. Everything is on your hard drive.

Synchronizing certain photo albums with iTunes 9 to AppleTV or iPhone

can somebody please explain to me how to synchronize certain Photo album to my AppleTV or iPhone? Whenever I select the device on the left hand side list in iTunes (9.0.2) and go to the "Photos" tab on the right hand side I only have the choice between "All Photos, Events,.." and "Synchronizing photos before anything else". The choice in the middle "selected album, Photos, Events, ..." is always greyed out and not selectable.
So: What do I have to do the synchronize certain photo albums ? I am using Mac OS X 10.6.2, iTunes 9.0.2 and iPhoto 8.1.1

You need to go into your iPhoto application and turn off (or disable) all music that is tied to any of your self-created slideshows. This error seems to be directly related to odd characters in the titles of the songs in your slideshows. Then sync your photos. Afterward, you can then "try" and go back in and re-attach your songs inside your slideshows, and see if your iPhoto photos will again sync without the -50 error.

iTunes isn't an editor. You need an app that's intended for editing audio files, like Adobe Audition (http://www.adobe.com/products/audition.html) or Audacity (free in the App Store).

Photo Album Placement on Home Page

I have created a photo album and it works just fine in the
separate document created by DW. I cannot, however, place the photo
album on my home page, where I want it to reside. I've tried
inserting the photo album file as a Fireworks HTML Image Object
thru the "Inser" command, and get an error message that tells me
the file is not a Fireworks HTML file. I've tried to copy and paste
the code into my home page, and none of the links were working. I
changed the links and the thumbnail files now work, but when I try
to open a larger version of the thumbnail, the file is not found.
I've worked on this until I'm numb (or dumb!). Is there a simpler
way to import the photo album file into the home page document and
have the photo album work properly?

I'm not familiar with that method of generating a photo
album, but you do have to make sure that all of the directories
that contain the thumbnails and full-size photos are located
somewhere under your main project directory, and that all are
uploaded to your server. If you just paste code on your home page,
but the links are pointing somewhere else on your hard drive, it's
not going to work when uploaded.

Import from Corel Photo Album 6

I'd like to import a library of a few thousand photos from Corel Photo Album 6 into iPhoto '08. The photos in Photo Album include a Picture Title which is stored in the Photo Album database, not in the photo file and is different from the File Name.
Is there a way to import the photos and the Titles into iPhoto '08?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I don't think so unless there's a way to get Corel to write the titles to the files.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

If your pictures in your camera roll, you need to restore your phone from back up of the old phone. If your pictures in the albums that were transferred from computer, you need to get a hold on that computer and transfer again. I can not transfer my photo albums from my Ipad to my computer(Microsoft windows). I have spent some time arranging these albums into some order with each having it's own name.but when i transfer it to my computer the photo's are out of order

We have sorted our photo's into albums with each having their own headings on our Ipad. We have now downloaded these to our computer (Microsoft).The only problem is they did not save in the album order or have any reference to the name of the album. I was wondering if there is away to download our photo's by album from the ipad to a Microsoft computer or even to an extermal hard drive.

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

Soory, no, it is not possible. You can only combine multiple copies of the same book into one order.
