Photo app crashes on ipod touch
whenever i click on the left button which shows the options menu or whenever i try to share a photo from my ipod touch 4g the photos app crashed and exits automatically..
plz help asap..
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

I've had this problem for two weeks. I try to open the apps, it looks as if it's going to open, then crashes and the device returns to homescreen. Fair enough, I've had this problem before. All of those times, however, I simply turned the iPod off and back on, or did a hard reset. And the apps worked again. This time, I tried absolutely every idea I could find before finally resorting to a full restore of the iPod. I backed the device up on iTunes, but when I connected this newly restored device to iTunes to retrieve my data, I was told my backup was "corrupt". So basically, all my photos, notes, app data, everything is gone. Granted, that may be my problem, and it's too late now to change that, I continued and installed ONE application. ONE. And can you guess what happens when I try to open this application? (It was twitter, in case you were wondering) So I tapped the app, and what do you know? It crashes. Again. So I do a hard reset twice, turn the iPod off and back on multiple times but twitter still won't open. So basically I deleted everything for no reason. Everything is gone, and my iPod isn't even fixed. It's only four months old, so I really don't understand the problem... Can someone help me, please?
[It's not a virus, and I tried deleting and re-installing the app on iTunes]Try restoring to factory settings/new iPod and then redownloading (not sync from your iTunes library) only the one problem app.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

How often does your apps crash on iPod touch 4?
Just wondering, because this happens pretty often when it starts to happen. (ex. 2 times in a row)
Or can this be easily fixed by reinstalling the problematic apps?
Is this normal on iOS 5.1.1? Will this be fixed when I get a new, better device? (ex. iPhone 4S, iPad 3)
Think this is happening because my Computer is broken, but works perfectly fine, just a little slower. (technican said it will die soon, but it's been like weeks since he said that)
Note: This is a new replaced iPod, but the backup was from the old iPod.Right now I'm doing a restore.
Is it downloading apps from appstore then restoring data with iCloud, or restoring the whole app directly from iCloud without App store?
Also, some apps don't have built-in backups, and I don't want to start over. -

When I import photos taken from my Ipod Touch 4 to My Mac Desktop, I click delete photos on ipod, but they do not delete. Is the only way to delete them individually (I have 1,400 photos!) or is there a way to delete them all in one go?
I realise you can you can delete them on your ipod slowly as you have to click on each one, and you can restore your ipod, but surely there is a way to get around this?

Is there any way to keep apps on my ipod touch but not keep copies of them on my PC? I have space issues on my PC, so I don't want to have to keep copies there. I deleted the apps from my PC, but when I synced my ipod to add some photos, all my apps were deleted from my ipod. Is there any way to be able to just sync photos and music, and not apps? Seems I am able to manually manage music, which allows me to not have to keep my music library stored on my PC, but can't get the photos to sync without the apps syncing too.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I'm new at this.

though purchased apps can be re-downloaded for free, i strongly advise against such a practice !

The hard drive on my old computer failed so I no longer have access to my itunes library that was saved onto that computer. Is there anyway I can transfer my music and apps to my new computer? I would prefer not using one of those shady online tools... I don't want to lose any of my music or apps since I have some paid ones on there. I'm afraid that if I connect it to the new computer then everything will be lost. If that happens the I'll never be able to get any of my music and apps back (or at least it'll be real difficult). I think I found a fix...I went to Settings, iTunes & App Stores, then click on your Apple ID...view Apple ID...change country region to USA (even though it was already USA...just do it again...go through the steps making sure the United States store is selected...agree to the Terms of Service, THEN I think what the key is is to RE-auhorize your credit card...in my case all I had to do was enter the security code...and it worked...I am now able to download the YouTube app for example...couldn't do it before. -

You can't seriously believe users would be *that* idiotic, even on a sue-happy country like the US… And while Apple could get sued, it's not like Apple Legal would lose a case like that; for someone to die in the first place *because of the iPod Touch*, first-responders (be them regular bystanders or medical professionals) would have to be stupid enough to believe they could use it to make calls and not try doing that using instead, duh, a regular phone that they would likely be carrying with them anyway, and for Apple to be in the least bit accountable, the interface would have to misdirect them and make them believe they could in the first place.
Except it doesn't. It never did. The iOS interface, on the iPod Touch, has no references whatsoever to calling functions, be they regular or emergency-related. If you tap a phone number detected by smart filters, you can't dial it (I believe you're offered the option to save it on the Address Book, though), and on the lock screen, there is no “Emergency Call” function (nor would there be such a function on the Health ID page, either). So… I fail to see your point.
And you can't seriously believe Apple would risk, on purpose, a lawsuit by the family of someone who, having both an iPhone *and* an iPod Touch (not very likely, I know, but please bear with me) dies because s/he is carrying only the iPod Touch and unwittingly (but understandably) expects *all* Health and the potentially *life-saving* Health ID info to sync across devices via iCloud.
Nope, this is an oversight by Apple devs, and a massive one at that.
P.S.: A massive legal/functional disclaimer, such as “Warning: This device cannot connect to the cellular network. For emergency calls please use an appropriate device” or something along those lines would pretty much exempt them from any legal responsibility, while still enabling a life-saving feature.
