Photo attachment issues

Question

I'm trying to send simple .jpg files to client. She's on a PC and this is what she tells me: "I use the insert picutre from file to get it into the document, on publisher it needs to be done this way to get the right text box to fit. The result is attached in this Word document. The picture goes black. I've been creating these types of brochures and newsletters for 13 years and have never had this happen. I've tried many things to try to fix it but they don't seem to work. When you try to open it with MS Office Picture Manager it turns it into a series of lines of different colors. I don't know if this means anything but on MS Office Picture Manager when it's opened, under Camera Properties, it says "This file has no camera properties"."
Now, I sent the images to a friend and she was able to see the pics fine with MSOPM but when she tried to import the pics into a Word document it came up as all colored lines.
Here's another crazy thing-the Word document she sent me? When I open it, I can see the image!
What the heck?? I've tried sending the attachments several different ways with Entourage and with Mail and using different encoding settings. I've also tried using webmail.
Last resort is to burn a CD and ship overnight-$$$$

Check the box "Send Windows friendly attachments" in your Mail.
