Photo Booth How to reverse type

I wanted to send my sister a birthday greeting, so I spent some time printing one out thinking I would hold it up next to me and take a photo to send her. However the type on the birthday greeting is reversed or mirrored and reads backwardss. How can I set Photo Booth so the type is not reversed and reads normally?

i deleted my photo booth how can i get it back?

OK, here are some step by step instructions:
    1. Open a Finder window.
    2. In the Finder window on the left side you will see a folder that says Applications. Click the folder.
    3. Click the Time Machine icon in your Dock and wait for Time Machine to open.
    4. On the right side of TM  you will see a time line, click a date that you know the Application was still there and wait for TM to go to that date. You will see the date in the bottom center.
    5. While in the Applications folder scroll down until you find Photo Booth and then click Restore in the bottom right.
At that point Photo Booth should be restored and working. If it isn't then make an appointment at  your local Apple Store and take the machine in. They will help you restore the application. If you don't have an Apple Store in your area contact an AASP or call Apple Care for some help.

  • I can't find my photo booth how can i download it again?

i can't find my photo booth how can i download it again?

You might want to check first:
Go to Finder, click Applications, and make sure photo booth in not there. If not, then find the OS X features (programs) disk that came with your mac. It will allow you to install it from there. If you have lost it, you can try to download and install it from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?fnz1mjjmjmz
I have not tested this, but it looks valid (the comments were positive).
First try to install it via the DVD that came with your mac

  • I've deleted FaceTime and photo booth how do reinstall

I've deleted FaceTime and photo booth and can't seem to reinstall them.ive looked in app store the ones that came with my iPad are not on there! How can I reinstall deleted apps please help x

Try this as well - go to Settings>General>Restrictions. If you turned on restrictions you may have disabled those apps - or at least Facetime - and they/it will not appear on the iPad until you turn off the restrictions.
You will not lose anything if your restart your iPad.
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in FaceTime or PhotoBooth and hit go on the keyboard. If they show up - you will know they are on the iPad somewhere.

  • How to reverse type (white on black background) in Pages?

Does anyone know if it's possible to reverse type (white type over a black bar) in Pages, and how to do it? I've been trying for a while, but can't get it to work.

Cancel question; found it in "More Like This" to the right.

  • Photo booth; how do I make a video?

It was my understanding that with a macbook you could use photo booth to take videos, not just pictures. I am SO frustrated. How do I do this?

    nicoleaa,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Open Photo Booth. When the window opens, you will see three icons near the bottom of the window on the left side. Click on the one that looks like a clipping from an old film reel. Then click on the red "Record Movie" button, or select Photo Booth>File>Record Movie.
    ;~)

  • I accidentally deleted my photo booth, how do i get it back?

I accidentally deleted my photo booth permanently. I can not find it any where on my Mac. It makes me so mad because i'm ALWAYS on photo booth. I would love for some feed back so i can get it back. Thank you.

Photo Booth can only be reinstalled with a #8 Reinstall Just OS X method, it's not part of the bundled application package installer found on the 10.6 machine specific disks.
Make sure you really have deleted it by exhausting all search possibilites, try using the free Easy Find here
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11076/easyfind
If it's really gone, then follow #8 step here, however doing so will disable third party programs that have any code installed into OS X itself via at boot kernel extension files. So these programs will have to be reinstalled from original sources and updated.
Step by Step to fix your Mac
    8: Reinstall Just OS X
Category: OS X and bundled Apple software related
Description: Replaces only OS X and bundled Apple software programs with a new copy. Small portions of third party software installed in OS X itself is removed in the process, but they can be reinstalled later. Programs in Applications folder or the User account folders are not touched.
    Problems solved or possibly solved:
"Gray Screen with spinning gear at boot" type issues... https://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570
"Blue or White screen at boot" type issues... http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8963.html
"You need to restart" kernel panic type issues:  https://support.apple.com/kb/TS3742
"Safe mode freezes on progress bar" type issues https://support.apple.com/kb/TS3148
Solved: OS X and/or bundled program(s) related issues not resolved by other means.
Solved: Outdated or unknown/older conflicting third party kernel extension files.
    Instructions:
    Option A:
10.6 users - clean and polish the bottom of the 10.6 disk (no other) with a soft clean cloth and a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol.
    • Insert the disk and Hold c or option key down and then boot the computer from the 10.6 installer disk.
    • Second screen, select your boot drive and simply install OS X again.
    • When you get into the machine, immediately Software Update (#10), reboot and repeat until clear. Important!
Force eject a stuck disk - hold the trackpad or left wired mouse button down while booting, the hardware should force eject the disk, or use Startup Manager #3 and select the disk and then use the eject key on the keyboard.
10.7+ users - hold command r or option key and boot from Lion Recovery HD partition (only, use no disks), it's a bootable section on the boot drive itself that's like install cd.
    • Have a good reliable fast Internet connection (+5 Mb/s) and install Lion from Apple's servers, you'll need your AppleID and password.
    • When you get into the machine, check the Software Update (#10) that there are no additional updates.
Reinstall any third party software that fails to work once the developer has a update that is compatible with the OS X version your using. (see Apple Menu > About this Mac for the OS X version)
Option B (advanced): If you can't reinstall some third party software at this time
Reboot holding Shift Key down while booting up, that will disable their at boot kernel extension files and then skip to #9 and then do #14-15 and attempt to find the problematic at boot third party kernel extension file responsible. However don't make a mistake removing a OS X one or the machine can refuse to boot.
You might not have any or have removed them all and still can't boot normally, if this is the case then the #8 procedure is your only choice as it's something wrong in OS X itself.
You might be able to temporarily remove the known third party at boot kernel extension files out of the System/Library/Extensions folder and replace after OS X is replaced in Option A above.

  • Photo Booth - How do you delete?

I went into my photo albums today and I noticed a new area called "Photo Booth" which I had never seen before. First I do not know how a pic got into this area and also I would like to know how to delete it? I have no issues with the pics that are in the "Photo Roll" area, but this one is new to me and it has no delete option and does not import either into Itunes which later gives you the option to remove the originals after an import. Thanks, Peter

The photo booth album would have been created when someone took a photo using the Photo Booth application.

  • Where is Photo Booth & how to get iSight to work in iChat

Just set up a new 2.4 iMac for my daughter yesterday (purchased new directly from Apple). Today she says she can't access Photo Booth, which she is familiar with from using my son's MBP. I did a Search (Command-F) for "photo Booth" but came up with nothing. I also doubled clicked on the iSight Updater which was on the hard drive in the Application / Utilities Folder. It told me it couldn't find iSight!
    Any ideas?

    Hello Fastdude
Based on your info, my idea is that someone has deleted it.
Finder finds Photo Booth on my Mac.
Reinstall if you want it back.

Stop clicking on the iSight Updater that is in your Application / Utilities Folder. It was apparently "migrated" there when you got a new Mac or installed Leopard. It is not needed after you have once installed it on an external Firewire iSight that was using a pre-Tiger version of Mac OS X.

  • How do I delete photo booth from my macbook pro?

I'm deleting some unneeded applications from my new Macbook Pro.  I have been successful with most and all of them that are not required as part of the OS system.  However, there are other apps that are more difficult to remove as I was able to go into Utilities and Terminal and type in some other specific applications that I wanted to remove (like Stickies, Chess, etc.).  However, one I am having trouble deleting is Photo Booth.  I also want to disable the webcam so I cannot even activate it by mistake.  Can someone tell me how to do that?
I was successful in removing all of the icons other than Finder, Safari and Trash from the bottom of my screen now that I have deleted everything else and it is much cleaner.
    Thank you!

Here's an app that supposedly will disable your isight. Says it works in Lion, maybe it will work in ML too: Download iSight Disabler for Mac - Quickly turn on/off your USB iSight. MacUpdate.comhttps://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/23346/isight-disabler
Here's a thread with several possible solutions for disabling the isight: Is there a way to turn off and On the...: Apple Support Communities
And here is a page with a Terminal command for deleting Photo Booth: How to Delete Safari, Mail, FaceTime, Photo Booth, and Other Default Mac OS X Apps
As a general rule, however, removing system software is a bad idea.
If you're really paranoid about the camera, then a little piece of tape over the lens would do the trick!

  • Photo Booth Effects Fuzzy Like a Bad Green Screen

Just wondering about the background effects in Photo Booth & how they work.  I know you're supposed to step out of frame and then back in.  Ive tried this several times now in different rooms in my house and I never get a solid background.  It's always fuzzy/broken up kind of like a bad green screen effect.  So just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or that's just how it works.
    I am using Lion.

"Is there something wrong with my built-in iSight on my MacBook Pro? "
    Nope!
Use as plain a real background behind you as you can. The busier the background, the harder it is for your Mac to tell you from the background.
Have as much light behind you and in front of you as possible. I found that lighting is a huge key to making the effect work well. If possible use hologen lights. The brighter your room, the better BE works. Matter of fact, your BE picture will be perfect.
DO NOT wear the colors green and/or blue.
    Good luck & much fun!

  • Creating Reverse Type in InDesign CS2

Working with InDesign CS2 - not sure how to reverse type.  PM7 had an option under Type Style to reverse type (change to white to show in a black box).
Unable to find such a feature in InDesign CS2.   How is type reversed in InDesign CS2?  Only way I've seen is to select the type and color it white (color selection not easy for type it seems).  Is there an easy, quick way to reverse type in InDesign CS2?
Would appreciate any help on this you can give.

Above and beyond Ken's factual answer... it's not easy because it's robust. You can do so much more with type color in ID than you can in another app where there's just a "reverse type" checkbox. In fact, pretty much across the board, ID is more robust, so if you really need a way to change color of text, there are at least three or four different ways to do so, some more automated than others, and if the multitude of options still isn't enough, you can write a Javascript or Applescript or VB script to do it for you.
But no, there's no particular setting for "reverse type" unless you make one yourself. I'd suggest a character style with a keyboard shortuct.

  • When ever i click a picture in photo booth it does not automatically update its content is this a bug or i don't know how to do it?

when ever i click a picture in photo booth it does not automatically update its content is this a bug or i don't know how to do it?
whenever you click a picture in photobooth you have to manually insert it one by one in iphoto
i want to know is there any other option in iphoto which can do this type of thing(adding pictures automatically to iphoto )
so that i do not have to do it manually

Once you take the photo with Photo Booth, select the photo in the tray at the bottom and click on the iPhoto button just abouve and to the left:
That will import the photo into iPhoto automatically.  But PB does not import any and all photo taken into iPhoto automatically.  That choice is left to the user.
