Photo booth keeps on moving the curtain

My photbooth application keeps on opening and closing the curtain, I can't make photoos or swith from frontcamera to rearcamera.
I already reinstalled all the software, who knows a solution?

If the above doesn't work, try a reset
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
2. For about 10 seconds
3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)
4. Ignore the red slider

HT2090 will get it working. (Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

My iPad camera only works at the back. When I change it to front camera it freezes with shutter closed. Also photo booth keeps opening the red curtain and I can't select a feature. I have restored iPad with no success. Help!

I have only had my iPad for a week and can not get the front camera to work....it just freezes and does nothing. The photo booth app also only shows the red curtain over and over. I have restored the iPad, reset it...and still no joy..... Any ideas?

I think you have a defective iPad. One thing you can try is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
If that doesn't help, show your iPad to an Apple Store Genius, and you should get a new iPad on the spot.
If there is no Apple Store near you, look for an Apple Authorized Repair Center. There may be one in your city. In the US, <United States>. Outside the US, <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1434>.

I had this same problem. Go to your Applications folder, select Photo Booth (don't open it) then press Command+I. Make sure that "Open in 32-bit mode" is NOT selected. For whatever reason, that was causing mine to crash every time I opened it.

i've just purchased macbook pro and the built in camera stopped working, when i open the photo booth application, i see a green screen, and the photo it takes is all green.
it worked yesterday, and now it doesn't
i've searched the entire system for a solution but couldn't find any

Can't use photo booth and Skype and the same time anymore?

So I used to be able to use skype video chat and photo booth at the same time but now photo booth says that there isn't a camera connected when I try opening it while I'm skyping. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Brand ne iPad 3. Installing a Google Apps mail account as Exchange kills my Camera, Face Time and Photo Booth. They disappear from the Desktop and are nowhere to find or retrieve. Yep, Meg, you were right and here are the steps which cure the issue. Disable camera is actually a basic Google Apps setting .
Log in to your Google Apps Control Panel.
Click on your 'Settings' tab.
Under the 'Org Settings' tab locate 'Mobile Settings/Device Settings'
Enable 'Allow camera'.
Save changes.
Re-Install Google Apps E-mail account
It works perfectly fine now.

Magic Mouse and MS Word 2011 (under OS 10.7, iMac middle 2011): Marking of word in a document stops after a few seconds while still pressing the left button and keep on moving the mouse (batteries full)

To mark several clauses in a doc-document (in MS Word 2011), I press the left mouse button and move the mouse along the words
My problem:
While still pressing the left button and moving the mouse, the marking on the screen stops and I can't change the already existing markings any more (to become less or especially more).
Who knows:
- why this happens and how I can abondon this behaviour?
- is it a settings problem in MS Word 2011 or of OS X Lion?
By the way:
- I don't watch this behaviour in MS Excel 2011. There everything works fine.
- The batteries are fully loaded and I'm about 30 to 40 cm (1") away from the iMac (RSSI: -60 dB)

I want to delete the photos on the iMac's hard drive but I want all the copies on the EHD; to free up space on the iMac. I experimented by deleting one photo in the iPhoto library on iMac but when I checked the EHD, it was deleted there, too. How can I delete photos from iMac w/out deleting from EHD?

Do a Get Info in the Finder on that, is it an Alias pointing to the external drive?
Open the iPhoto Library folder on your actual internal drive in the Finder, is that deleed pic stil there?

Whenever I open my photobooth, it opens fine. But straight after, it opens, my photobooth freezes and won't work. I think it could be because I have too many photos, which is like 260. So I right-click the photobooth icon to exit, it says application not responding, so I was guessing that it didn't work. Are there any solutions.

I'd try running the daily, weekly, monthly maintenance files, and also clearing the cache files.
A utility like Onyx or Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner will make both these tasks quite simple.

I'm not too sure how I can solve this problem and I don't know if Apple can do anything to fix this problem since it doesn't happen all the time. When capturing a video in iMovie, this also occurs. I've tried restarting my mac and powering it down then turning it back on. What can I do to fix this problem?

Import INTO Photo Booth?

I had some problems with my computer and ended up wiping it clean and reinstalling everything.
I have a clone, so I just moved all my vital stuff over. I had some pics and movies in Photo Booth prior and moved the 'Photo Booth' folder from my old 'Pictures' folder in my user folder.
Everything I want is in that folder but none of it shows up in Photo Booth. If I take new pictures and movies, it adds them to the folder and sees the new ones but never the old ones I dragged over from my clone. Anyone know how to make them show up?

Until about 10 minutes ago, I was just as lost and confused as you guys were, and very disappointed that it seemingly is such a chore to do something that should be very easy. I have the quick and easy solution to this problem.
The first key bit of information is this: in Leopard (10.5.2 currently), Photo Booth stores the information of what photos it shows in a file called "Recents.plist" and this file is in 'username'>Library>Application Support>Photo Booth. Now that we know where this file is, we can ignore the one that is actually in the Photo Booth folder (with all your pictures), since that one isn't being used anymore; you can keep it, delete it, eat it...whatever. Now, the tricky but easy to follow part is this:
Open terminal. Type cd, then press the Space Bar. Now in Finder, drag the folder you're working with ("Photo Booth"...should be by default in your Photos folder) into the Terminal window.
Mouse click on Terminal to make it active and hit Return.
Then type ls -1 (that's lower-case l, s, and the number 1, meaning "list short with one entry per line").
Hit Return again. You should get a list of all the files currently in the folder.
You'll have to alter the list a bit (I usually employ Microsoft Word for find and replace work) to translate it into the proper format. Open Word and paste in the data from Terminal. Delete Recents.plist from the end of the list (since the finished plist doesn't need to include itself in the list of photos).
Hit Command-F, then click on the Replace tab. Enter ^p in the search field (that's the code for paragraph breaks) and enter </string>^p^t<string> in the replace field. Click on Replace All.
Add a <string> to the first item in the list, and delete any unneeded extra stuff at the end of the list.
Select the results and hit Command-C to copy.
Switch to the recents.plist file that you've opened in TextEdit, select all the <string> lines, delete, and paste in the new lines from Word.
Save the new recents.plist file to disk and reopen Photo Booth. All the pictures in the folder should now display.
I hope this helps. I did it and it worked really well for me.
