PHOTO BUGS!

Here is the bugs i've been experiencing with my iphone 4 (ios 5)
- Can't take pics
- Can't delete pics
- Automatic duplicates my photo library
- unable to look at pic in text messeging
- unable to take screenshots
- Settings>General>About>Photos: 2,147,814,647 (it says I have over 2 billion photos in my phone, I don't)
- Photo app crashes constantly
- Photo stream replace my photos with a 'grey with nothing on it' photo
- photos saved from photo stream to album are extremely blurry
- unable to send or open pictures from another app
- other apps and games won't work properly as before
- every app related to taking picture, select picture, view picture crashes when picture are taken or selected
- restoring won't help (i tried)
- Cannot play recorded videos from camera roll

sometimes apple do change things inexplicably, not always for the better.

BUT i'm not sure these things are bugs, furthermore i suspect it is your ipod rather than a general problem.
i am assuming you mean the 3rd Generation when you refer to 'rev 3'
1) if i've understood you correctly, then my photos orient fine.
2) granted i don't use it very often, but i haven't noticed the problem with the shuffle function either - have done a quick test and it seems to work fine
3) however, the play button isn't there when i tap the screen. this is probably one of those inexplicable changes.
i suggest you work through the troubleshooting steps to see if you can get your photos to work properly. a restore may be required. http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/assistant/ipodtouch/index.html

I've had my Zen Micro Photo 8gb for a month & have discovered some interesting quirks: first, I don't believe mine is defecti've, though I've had problems. I have encountered freezing on both the "Zen Microphoto" logo and "rebuilding library" screen; I scoured this forum and the Knowledge Base for answers, trying all that seemed applicable?- I tried disk cleanup and reboot (leading to rebuilding library freezes), reformats & carefully reloading the latest firmware?a couple of times. I've drawn some conclusions:?) Mediasource software is not working for me; when I switched to using only Windows Media , most problems went away.2) For whatever reason, "rebuilding library" can only be accomplished while my Zen is connected to the computer - should this be the case?3) It seems like the times my screen freezes on the "Zen Microphoto" logo I may have held the "on" switch to the side a little longer than necessary; I'm wondering if this is happening because I'm holding the switch on a little too long?Anyway, I love the size, look and sound of this player, so I hope to keep using it. NOTE: can anyone from CREATIVE tell me if there will be future firmware updates? Thanks

I run windows XP pro . sp2, its quite strange.. it should work. ! **bleep** IT SHOULD WORK ! :smileyindifferent: , and the wirld thing is. i also try'ed it on another windows XP machine at work.. and it didient work there either. im beginning to question if this is the product for me. its realy sad though, i love the zen design.. not to mention the price.
It realy realy bugs me that the zen micro photo isset supportet on windows 2000, i had this vision of syncronizing my work calender with the zen ... and now its just not possible ! unless my boss wants to give me a new laptop.. and i dont think that will happen . hehe
Well i will keep on working on this issue.. ill let you know guys.

Camera kit: imported photos bug

I use to import all my photo to the ipad (hundreds), then once cleaned (I keep only the best) I plug to my computer and import from the ipad the few remaining
Since 1 or 2 weeks I have a big bug. All the photos I import go to "imported" but the "last imported" doesn't exist any more and I can't see them with my computer.
Worst, I can't even send them by email, I have the red cross (unexisting file) when I try.
I used to see the file system on my PC, but now I only see the picture I took via screen shot or with any application.
I restored backup many times, trying some different things, nothing changes. If I restore without using any backup, it works again, but I really don't want to lose all my applications settings.
Any idea ?

The iOS 4.2 update noticed the Photo Library was incorrect and proposed (successfully) to fix it.
I got every single picture back.

Saving an edited photo - bug?

Ive created an album, copied in some photos from photostream and now I'm editing them. Some of the photos allow me to just save over the current photo whereas other photos require me to save as a new photo in my camera roll... Is this a bug? I cannot seem to find a rule as to what works.

Yes, the photo does display when I double click the hour glass. I can delete that hour glass (the edited version) but the initial photo also displays an hour glass. Double clicking on that also displays the actual photo.
I hope there’s a fix for my problem. Thanks.

N97 - Contacts Widget Photo Bug

Discovered another bug *sigh* with my N97,
My contacts widget started not displaying the photos of the listed contact favourites. The names of the contacts would be individually displayed but no images. I found this odd, but a re-start usually fixed it.
Now however, a restart does not resolve the issue. I've tried de-listing my favourites and re-listing them, and I've tried the contacts widget II, with no success.
No doubt a re-install of the firmware will fix the issue, but I currently don't have the time to do this.
N97 v12. Yet another bug. Yawn.

You can try the following, by me it had helped everytime.
Remove your favourites widget from the homescreen, then restart your phone and after restart, add your favourites to the homescreen again.
Hope this helpf for you too, by me it works on V11.

IMessage photo bug?

When I recieve a photo in iMessage on my iPad, I tap on it and it opens in full screen - as expected. BUT when I am done, I press the 'done' button, and NOTHING happens. The 'done' button, changes color briefly indicating I pressed it, but it doesn't do anything. I can't go back to iMessage without powering off my iPad. Is this a bug? User error? Anyone else experiencing this? It has happened without exception.

I'm also experiencing this problem. I haven't found any solutions but in the future you shouldn't have to restart your iPad to return to iMessage: I've successfully managed to end the task by the standard method (double-press the home button from anywhere but iMessage, long press on iMessage icon in bar, press the red button to close the app) and relaunching it will return me to the message without trapping me in the picture.

Photo bug in iMovie

Has anyone else had the problem of importing photos into iMovie.
Cant seem to get it to work.

when put new items in there I have tto authenticate
with my passwords so maybe that was the problem.
Good point. That could be the problem. When iMovie tries to save the rendered file in the Media folder inside the project, the Mac OS may be telling iMovie you don't have permission.
The user permissions inside an iMovie project can get messed up, especially if the project has been moved from one disk to another. The permissions INSIDE the project may and be different than the iMovie project itself. More about that here:

Photo bug after upgrade to iOS 5.01

Today I upgraded my iPad 1 to iOS5.01.
After the succesful upgrade I created some new folders with photos on my PC, and synced my iPad.
When I open the photo app on iPad, and then open the new albums I created today, and then close the albums again, the new album disappears from the screen. The album picture disappears, and now and then the album title disappears too.
This only happens with albums I created after the upgrade, not with the albums that are from before the upgrade.
Any ideas?

Have you had any luck narrowing down the cause of this?
The same thing is happening for me (iPad 1 3G/iOS5.01) - when I close an album the cover disappears so I'm just left with the album title and blank space above it.
Strangely though, it only seems to happen in landscape view and only with the albums in certain positions. For instance only the last album in the first row and the last two albums in the second row present this issue. The other albums can be opened and closed without the vanishing act.
If I switch from album to photo view and back to album view the covers will reappear and perform as normal from then on. Similarly when I hit the edit button then done, the covers will reappear the next time you close the album and will no longer disappear. They also instantly reappear if I drag them to a new position or drag another album across the top of the vanished one. Prior to them disappearing, even just a quick tap and hold on any album seems to prevent the problem from occurring.
I also found that while the cover is missing if there is any change to the position of the album (e.g. through indirect reordering or a switch from landscape to portrait view) the title will disappear as well and all I have is a black space where it should be - and in this state the album is unable to be selected for opening, moving, or deletion.
Any insight to this would be appreciated.

Weird Photos Bug

I'm having a strange behavior on my iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.3. When I first go to Photos everything looks normal, but once I go into my Camera Roll and view a 5-second video clip I took with my phone, then navigate back to the Albums screen, the list slides up to the top of the screen making it impossible to touch the Camera Roll selection in the listing because the semi-transparent "Albums" bar is laying over it. If I quit the photos app using the buttons, it goes back to normal, but if I view the video it happens all over again.
Update I just synced and it went away. Odd.

Hi, I do have similar issue with my newly bought iPhone, and I've resolved the issue by tapping on
Setting > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Be sure you have backup all your data before performing the troubleshooting steps. Hopes this would be an useful help to you.

L'app photo bug!

Mon problème est le suivant, j'ai un Ipad3 sous la version 6.0.1 j'ai pris pas mal de photos avec l'ipad et j'ai voulu les revoir mais l'app Photos ne m'affiche aucune de mes photos comme si elles avaient disparu alors que la seule connexion de l'ipad avec un câble c'était pour le recharger au secteur.
(Je n'est jamais synchronisé l'ipad avec iTunes)
Pouvez-vous m'aidez s'il vous plait ?

If you have the latest software 10.2.1.2102 you can search this forum on how to sideload Android apps.
I have sideloaded a program 'Snap' which easily installs apps from Google Play Store.
I installed Photo Editor Pro, text box can be dragged around and text sized by box handle, multiple colours,
Keyboard can be a nuisance while trying to adjust text, would be no problem on Q10.

IOS 7: call screen background photo bugged?

During a call to any contact, on call screen is displaying hard blurred image. This image is a user photo attached to its contact in address book. The issue is, that this photo is SAME on EVERY contact I call, no matter is there set photo on contact or not.
I have tryed to remove this image from contact it belongs to, but that doesn't do the trick, it still appear in ANY contact I called.
Any solution to remove or change this image?

Deleting photos bug?

I Think a have a problem with a new iPhoto`08.
When i delete a photo in edit mode, and then use Command+Z to revert it back do Library - it's thumbail does not appear back in this preview on top of iPhoto. I have to go back to Library to see it.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. It works for me. I deleted a photo while in the edit window and then type Command-Z and it came back in both the main edit window and the thumbnail tray.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Hidden Photos Bug

I'm having a problem with hidden photos in iPhoto. I have some events where certain photos within the event are hidden, and some events in which every photo is hidden, effectively hiding the whole event. When I enable viewing of hidden photos, the photos within events with other photos show up, but not the hidden events, i.e., if I go into an event I can see the hidden photos within it but no more events show up on my events page, even though they should. If I then rehide the hidden photos and restart iPhoto, the hidden events show up on the Events page, but are empty (as all the photos inside them are hidden). However, under normal circumstances, the events themselves should not show up at all. If I enable hidden photos again, I am able to see the photos within the hidden events as I should, but there is no way to make the whole event disappear off the events page again. Basically, hidden events will not show up the first time I start iPhoto no matter how many times I toggle between showing and not showing hidden photos, and once iPhoto is restarted, the hidden events will not go away.

Another Photo bug

Ever since the update, whenever I open a Photo folder, I'm automatically positioned at the end of the photos in the folder. In all previous versions, the opening position was at the beginning of the files in the folder -- which is how it ought to be.
Does anyone know a way to revert to the old display method, of listing the photos from the beginning?

Did you ever get a response to this problem? I'm having the same issue and would like to get it fixed.

Emailing Photos Bug

I reported this problem to Apple but wondered if anyone else has experienced the same issue:
1) I selected an event with 10 photos I wanted to share
2) I selected 2 photos at a time, chose a theme, wrote my text notes and sent the Email. Consequently, I sent 5 separate Emails with two photos in each Email with unique text comments.
3) Each recipient received 5 Emails but they all contained the same two photos and notes I originally attached to those two photos The other photos and notes were never delivered.
I did not receive any error messages and everything seemed to send correctly.

What is your question?
