Photo chip stuck in cd slot
Does anyone know how to get a photo card out of the cd slot. I accidentally put the chip in the cd place above the photo card reader.
Help it is stuck inside.
Turn the iMac over until gravity can help you. A CD inserted in there is picked up by several rollers and pulled in. A memory card should just be rattling around and may fall out if you help it a little.

I wanted to put my Camera chip inside my computer...I was looking and put it in the DVD Slot...Now I cannot remove it...Has this happened to anyone? If so how did you remove the chip? Thank you.

My photos are stuck in the editing view
All of my photos are stuck in the editing view and I am unable to return to thumbnail view. I can move to different "events" and photos, but they are all in the editing view. When I select view and then go to thumbnails, the options are unavailable. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I probably didn't explain the problem clearly.
When I open an event I would like to see the collection of photos, in thumbnail version. Since last night, the photos are in the large view - one photo at a time. I have to scroll through them to find the photo I want. This is the case in all of my events and albums.
When I go to the view tab and click on thumbnails, the options are unavailable - they are there, but are light grey and they aren't accessible when I click on them.
When I refered to my photos being stuck in the editing view, I should have said they are stuck in the large view, showing one photo at a time only. -
2 photo icons stuck on desktop. One stays on top any window opened. Do not respond to any comands, can't delete or move. Computer acts like they aren't there. How do I get rid of?

While editing, muy photos stopped changing. Even as the red line moves and the music plays, the photo is stuck on first frame. How do I fix this?

thanks so much for the good advice. I used both of these and now the problem has stopped. first I checked the finder crash logs and yes, my finder had been crashing repeatedly.
next I removed the preferences files from the library, rebooted from the CD and ran disk utility to repair preferences. since then my computer has been stable.
there were some preferences that didn't get repaired when I ran disk utility. I am copying them here to refer to later if I need to. I don't understand what these mean to me:

I have approx 1700 photo's stuck in my photo steam on my iPad. I've tried everything, even reseting the device. All photo's came back when I set my iPad back up. They are eating memory up. I've tried everything to delete them. Half of the photo's are duplicates, even triples. Help.
Try and sync your iPad Photos to an empty folder on the computer. That should remove all your photos on the iPad.

Why is Photo Stream stuck on "Uploading 98 Photos"?
Why is Photo Stream stuck on "Uploading 98 Photos"? They appear to be camera photos that I imported into iPhoto. I can leave the computer on all day and it still remains the same, meanwhile photos I take on the iPad are still being synced.
Try to reset the Photo Stream:
Disable it in System Preferences > iCloud
Wait for a few minutes - have a cup of coffee.
Then enabe it again.
Repeat, if it has no effect the first time.
Have you exceeded your daily or monthly limits?

If i will delete ''My Utilities App'' on my iphone4, are my all photos will deleted or not? cause my photos are hidden in the app. And i have to move my photos from my phone to my Mac. My iPad 3 microsim card slot is stuck or jammed. Manually cut micro sim is stuck inside the slot. I can't open it. How to proceed?
If they can't extract the SIM without opening the iPad (which no service center is authorized to do), and you can't manage to get it out yourself, then you'll probably have to pay Apple's out-of-warranty replacement price and get the iPad replaced. Use of a cut-down SIM is not covered under warranty.

the apple store gave me a new phone and my photos are stuck in the download position for 2 weeks now. how can i get them to download
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Help with photos duplicating in place holder slots
My photos are duplicating when I save and export my pages doc. There are six pictures but only the top two pics are showing in the other four slots below. I tried to resave but it wont update to the current doc version.
How can I correct this?Are the big in Mb? If they are reduce their size but do it in a graphic application. There are many free ones on Internet you can download. GIMP is one.

Photo.app crashes. Can not delete or sync photos. Stuck!
On my iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1:
Photo.app crashes whenever i try to delete certain photos from my camera roll. It freezes and I have to exit the app with the front botton. I have the crash logs on my computer.
The iPhone appears in iTunes, however photos do not sync.
The iPhone does NOT appear in Image Capture, iPhoto, or other photo importing programs.
Now I am really stuck - ! I have no way to delete the (presumably corrupted) photos from my iPhone!
If I "Erase all content and settings" from the iPhone, it once again appears (empty) in Image Capture. However, if I then restore the iPhone from a backup, the photo roll is restored and it has the same problem. If I do not restore the iPhone, I lose all my apps, contact info, etc.
I am an Apple developer (MacOS, iOS) so I have expert skills tackling problems like this, but now I'm stumped!I had the same problem and spent 4 hours troubleshooting with Apple Tech Support. We uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, drivers and checked every setting that had anything to do with my iPhone. As usual I was told that I need to restore my phone which is always my last option. I actually read your post and began to panic as it became clear that even after a reset I would get the same photos back when I synched and restored. Last time that I restored to new it took me 3 solid hours to tweak my phone back to the way it was. When I realized that I was basically screwed and was going to lose my photos I began to email them to myself one at a time. When I got to one picture I discovered that I had found the corrupt photo. I was not able to send it as it turned into a question mark when I tried to send to myself. I tried to delete 50 times but it froze my phone each time and wouldnt remove itself from my camera roll. I tried to select photos but each time that photo appeared in the window the app crashed and shut itself down. I had scheduled an appointment with the genious bar and figured I would call tech suoport one last time before I went through that nightmare and while I was on hold I pluged my phone into my computere and tried to delete the phote while plugged into my laptop and out of nowhere an error window popped up notifying me that my photo app experienced an error and would repair itself which within four seconds it did and the corrupt photo dissapeared. I cant tell you how relieived I was and my phone works perfectly well now. I tried to explain the results to the tech that finally answered but he didn't seem to care that much. I hope this works for you next time.

Photos app stuck on 'downloading x of y'
Hi guys, I had to restore my iPhone 4S yesterday, whilst everything seemed fine at first I noticed that in the photos app it shows 9 pictures with the message "Downloading 9 of 63" yet nothing happens, I cant take photos or screenshots as when I do I go to the app and they're not there.
I'm not sure exactly whats happened or how to fix it.

ThanksI too ran into this problem after trying to setup a new iPad by restoring from my old iPad's iCloud backup: Photo's app said, "Syncing x of y," and was stuck for more than a month despite hard resets, killing apps, etc. After calling AppleCare, they hinted that the only way they know to solve this problem is by doing a wipe and restore which I did not want to do. So while my AppleCare representative was consulting with a colleague, I tried one last thing which ended up working for me (please keep in mind that I had not sync'd my new iPad with my computer until this point, but this may work even if you have already done so):
Open iTunes and find your Preferences, then in the "Devices" tab, make sure to check the box next to "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically".
Plug in your iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch into the computer and transfer all your photo's to the computer, then remove the photo's from your iDevice (iPhoto will automatically give you the option to remove the photo's you just imported from the device). Your Camera Role Album should now be empty on your iDevice.
To be safe, since we are about to sync with iTunes, click "File" --> "Transfer Purchases from [iDevice Name]".
Now in iTunes, after clicking on the name of your iDevice in the left-hand column, click on the Photo's tab and put a checkmark next to, "Sync Photo's from [your default photo application name]" and next to "Selected albums, Events, Faces, and ...."
Now choose a small album that is not already showing up on your iDevice. This way, the computer will try to remove the presumably corrupted album and add the album you chose.
Hit Apply, and let iTunes finish syncing with your iDevice.
If the "Syncing x of y" message disappeared, congratulations and remember to restore any of your syncing preferences that you might have altered following these directions, namely whether to automatically sync your iDevice when connected to the computer and which photo albums or events you want synced.
Please reply to this post if this worked or did not work for you so that we can determine if these steps will work for others. -

I upgraded to iphone 4s and entered my apple id.
In the original photos application it started downloading photos, thenit got stuck on downloading for ever.
now it shows "downloading x of y" and never changes.
tried hard reset and it did not heped..
