Photo could not be found Problems - can anybody help

On opening iPhoto I get an error message saying 'The photo .... could not be opened because the original could not be found'. When I cancel another pops up and there appears to be hundreds of them. iPhoto is frozen and the only way to get out is Force Quitting.
The library I use is an Aperture library and the sharing with Aperture used to be OK. What is particularly puzzling is that when I open the library in Aperture there are no problems and all photos appear to be there. I can work quite happily in Aperture with no apparent difficulties.
However I do like to use IPhoto as well. I have tried rebuilding the iphoto library. I have uninstalled iPhoto and supporting files using App Zapper and I have reinstalled. However the problem is still there.
Anybody got any advice as to how I can resolve this problem?
I am using latest versions of all software.

Have you checked the original master image files in Aperture? Are the original master image files in Aperture referenced or managed? Do you see the originals, when you toggle between original and version by pressing the "M" key?
I'd suggest to use the Aperture Library Firts Aid Tools to repair the Database and to reair the permissions, since it is an Aperture Library, see: Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual
What are your Aperture and iPhoto versions? Have you upgraded recently?

Hi. I have been having problems with my PC and recently removed a lot of rubbish to clear it somewhat. I dont know if that is relavant however on top of that I have just received my replacement iPad2 which i had a proble with and thought I would just tidy up my tunes before sycing. The problem is that everytime I click to play a track in iTunes on my PC, whilst the track is showing on my itunes, it comes up with a warning 'the song cannot be used because the original file could not be found. Sounds like you have somehow moved your itunes music library to a different location to where iTunes thinks they should be. Your music should be in a folder called "iTunes Media>Music". If they are located there, try going into iTunes, right clicking on one of the songs and then "get info". When the box pops up, on the first screen it should give a location line where it thinks the music is located. If it is differen't to where you music is stored, try and match it up to the location line that was in the "get info" box.

Our server is used to do batch processing for refreshing our excel's. This morning, after the excel's got refreshed on the server, I've got this error on the
client computers (everything works fine on the server computer). I did the steps above on the client computers, but the problem still persists.
It looks like there is a difference in version between server and client.
If I do the refreshing on the same computer there is no problem. But when the server does the refreshing and I try to open it on a different computer, I get this error.
The security update has been removed from the computer, but I can't use my excel's anymore.
Does any one have some advice for me?

Thanks for the further explaintation.
According to the description, the issue seems that the Workboook on the client side(with lower Excel version) couldn't run the VBA after it opened by server(higher version Excel application).
If I understood correctly, that sounds that the issue is relative to the specific version of Excel product or the updates.
I suggest you contacting Microsoft support to raise an incident so that our engineer could work closely with him to identify the root cause and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
If the support engineer determines that the issue is the result of a bug the service request will be a no-charge case and you won't be charged.

I posted this on Azure forim with no luck maybe here is a better choise.
When trying to connect a windows 8\8.1 client with a vpn connection for azure virtual network we get the fallowing error.
"A certificate could not be found that can be used with this Extensible Authentication Protocol. (Error 798)"\
I'm fallowing this msdn article about point to site vpn on azure. according to it the certificat is good for both win 7 and win 8.

this is the commanf to build the client certificat:
makecert.exe -n "CN=ClientCertificateName" -pe -sky exchange -m 96 -ss My -in "RootCertificateName" -is my -a sha1
When runing the installtion of the certificat on the client the defult crtificate store is "Automatic", It does not metter if I leave it on Automatic or choose any of the other options (personal, trusted issuers ...) I always get the same error.

Windows 2003 enterprise
AD DC, DNS, DHCP, CA and IAS all are running from single server. But at the time of configuration of Remote Access Policy the error message of "a certificate could not be found that can be used with this extensible authentication protocol" is appeared.
So with the help of mmc snap in the certificate was requested from CA (Domain Controller template)as a new certificate request and placed in the local computer personal folder.
After placing the certificate the error message was disappeared during configuring PEAP.
But after sometime the certificate was disappeared from remote access policy. But the same imported certificate was present in personal folder.
What is reason for frequent disappearing?
How to manage the situation?

I think the cause is that the DomainControllerAuthentication certificate has superseded the
DomainController certificate which is chosen during the setup of IAS.
To avoid this, if you’re going to install IAS on a Domain Controller, the DC should be made to enroll for a separate certificate from the template
'RAS and IAS Servers' before the IAS server is installed and this certificate should then be chosen for any PEAP setup.

You will need to go into your Files and locate the song. By default, iTunes saves songs in the iTunes Media Folder which can be found in the following locations:
Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes
If you locate your song file, when you try to play it in iTunes, you will be given an option to locate. Navigate to the file in the pop up window and iTunes will re-path the file location.
Most people encounter this issue when moving to a new computer or if you have your music saved on an external drive or folder that you have since moved or removed. The imperative part is finding the song so you can re-map it.

Have yu tried the standard fixes:
- Reset the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Restore the iPod via iTunes, First from backup and if problems persist, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox. The email you should receive looks like the image below. When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email.

"original file could not be found" problem

I have a home network of 4 PCs. One PC is being used somewhat like a server ie. all of our MP3s are on that PC in a shared folder. Somehow (my kids won't admit to it) the Microsoft firewall was modified not to allow file sharing. As a result, iTunes on my wife's PC became disassociated with the files on our "server" PC. I corrected the fire wall problem and my wife's PC can now see the shared folder but everytime she clicks on a song she gets the "original file could not be found" error with the exclamation point.
She has well of a 2,000 songs in her library and does not want to individually find (reattach) each one. Also, she does not want to reimport all of the MP3s into her library because a lot of the MP3s are music that she does not have in her library and does not want there.
My 2 kids' PCs have the same problem and of course their iTunes libraries have a different mix of music from the "server" PC.
Any ideas? TIA

hmm, did you change it yourself without restarting iTunes?
Because, when my external HD is not turned on before I start iTunes, I get all the ! not found which never fails to make me gasp in dismay.
But then I just close iTunes, start the exHD, re-open iTunes and everything is OK.
Tell me, do you happen to be in the practice of backing up the itl and xml files?
What are the iTunes library files?
If you have saved copies of those, you could just put them back in place, snip-snap, problem solved.

Itunes could not copy song because the file could not be converted. Can anyone help

Synced Jeff Wayne's War of the World from Mac to Iphone - 1 track could not be copied - error message "the file could not be converted" popped.
Any suggestions as to problem and remedy?

This "Workaround" doesn't fix the fact that Itunes generate an error message because it is unable to convert the audio file ALTHOUGH the audio file is OK.
This problem started with Itunes 11.1.3, and it affects almost every album in my library for no reasons ...
Tried deleting all library file, creating a new library and re-importing audio file that I know are OK ... funny thing, it's not always the same file that create this bug.
Really a random bug ... reopened itunes with "compatibility option" set to "Windows XP SP3" and it's different tracks from the same album that can't be converted now.
