Photo details
Just bought the Verizon I-Phone 4 and am having mixed feelings, there are so many great features about the phone, but it seems like basic features of every other phone I have ever owned is missing. (Unless of course, I just cant find them)
When taking pictures or receiving them via a picture message on most phones you can click on details and get at a minimum the date and time the photo was taken. Does the I-Phone 4 have this feature?
Thank you
LA
It does not have that option. If you save the photo and later copy it off you can get to some of that info.
As for me, no phone I ever owned had that option either.

Based on http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1308132?tstart=0 I decided to add each question seperately:
Hello, I'm quite interested in buying Lightroom 5.2. I tried the RC which ran out now. Yet, I have a several questions that I can't really find good conclusive answers to, that I'd like to get answered before buying LR. Please don't write maybe like this or that (assumptions), since I don't want to start my whole workflow and then realize that I have to change everything around, so please answer, if you know for sure that something works and you are, preferably, using that method too.
Is it possible to see the photo details (CMD+I for e.g. Aperture, ISO etc.) in fullscreen view?Note that if you invoke Full Screen Preview (F) from Grid Mode, then Cycle Info Display (I) doesn't work at all, no matter how many times you press "I":
http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/cylce_info_display_doesnt_always_wor k_in_full_screen_preview
It appears that Adobe originally designed Full Screen Preview to be a special viewing mode of the underlying mode. So if you invoke Full Screen Preview from Grid Mode, Cycle Info Display doesn't work and the arrow keys work with selections just as they do in regular Grid Mode, not as in Loupe Mode. But according to employee Becky Sowada, Adobe is reconsidering this design; see the 9/17 thread in this topic:

Display photo details on iPod Classic?
Using: iPod Classic v2.0.1, iTunes v10.1.2.17, Windows XP.
Is there a way to display any photo details on the iPod Classic? Specifically, I would like to display a caption (either from some EXIF field or from the .jpg file's Properties dialog) or at least display the original .jpg filename.
I want to be able to call up the details/caption for the photo that I'm currently viewing. The information does not have to automatically appear over the bottom of the image (but that would be a nice setting to be able to enable!).
Note: I do not want to create a video slideshow.
Thanks.Is there a way to display any photo details on the iPod Touch? On the iPad?
Yes, but not without the help of 3rd Party applications from the App store.

Nokia 701 Helping with Lumia 800I hope you can appreciate that after months of rehashing the same answers there comes a time you would think people would be willing to do some work themselves and use things like google and the forum search function to find answers. It's not I do not want to help, but let's just say I am trying to get across the idea that this is a FAQ for which answers are readily available for those who are willing to put ina few minutes of searching.
10 seconds to Google this
As has been discussed before, you have no access to the phone filesystem so you can't organize pictures on the phone unless you open images and then save them again using an app under another name. Most photo edit software available (there are many) will have this option. You can also upload to SkyDrive and do rename/move into folders or whatever on a computer or through the browser interface on your phone.
Skydrive is basically part of the phone filesystem and is the place you are supposed to put stuff you want to tinker with.. To the phone this is transparent and this is also why using Windows Phone basically requires having an always on internet connection.

Changing Navigation Layout on the Photo Detail Page
Is it possible to change the position of the navigation ,eg. the previous and next links, on the detailed photo page without having to write a javascript widget? I just want the links to appear just below the photo with little space between and directly centered under the photo. Is this possible?

There is no way around it, it's all about knowing iweb javascript widgets and javascript.
time to learn javascript? -
Hi, I cannot seem to find a "turn on" in Apple TV for "titles, dates, places, and descriptions" for photos as I am able to in i-photo, is there such an option?
Thanks
NorvebPlease don't duplicate post. Re-posting the same question is not going to change the answer.

Photo details not transferring with Export
When attempting to Export a photo and selecting "Include Title and keywords and Location Information" -- the information is NOT transferring. Instead, I get the date of transfer. How do I maintain the original date and place the photo was taken?
Where are you seeing this "incorrect date/time"?
It sounds like you are looking at the file metadata using the finder rather than the photo metadata using a photo program ( like iPhoto or preview). A file is not a photo and the file data describes the file. The photo data is in the EXIF and IPTC fields within the photo

Making it so visitors only see photos in detail view in iWeb?
Hey guys,
is it possible to make it so when people click on a photo page they automatically see the photo browser at the top with the enlarged version of which ever photo is highlighted?
Thanks!StudioBuddha wrote:
I'm wondering what I can do to get the photo detail to appear at the bottom of the page (instead of the default top),
This will take some doing, but possible. Not so much of moving the thumbnail widget (that's easy), the problem is these widgets are interconnected to each other; move one and you (I) may break the others.
or how to increase the space between the line of details thumbnails and the featured image.
This is easy, copy and paste the following:
<script type='text/javascript'>
var offsetHeight = 25; // change this value to open the gap.
_base=parent.window.location.href;
if(_base.indexOf('#') == -1){
parent.window.location=_base.split('#')[0]+'#0';
function moveThumbnails() {
detailviewWidget = parent.document.getElementsByClassName('com-apple-iweb-widget-detailview')[0].w idget;
widgetID = detailviewWidget.instanceID;
slideshowAnchor = parent.document.getElementById(widgetID + '-slideshow_anchor');
if (slideshowAnchor.href.indexOf('#') != -1) {
clearInterval(chkThumbs);
widgetDiv = parent.document.getElementById(widgetID)
widgetLeft = parseInt(widgetDiv.style.left);
widgetWidth = parseInt(widgetDiv.style.width);
widgetThumbnailView = parent.document.getElementById(widgetID + '-thumbnail_view');
thumbnailHeight = parseInt(widgetThumbnailView.style.height);
widgetThumbnailView.style.height = (thumbnailHeight + offsetHeight) + 'px';
chkThumbs = setInterval('moveThumbnails()', 500);
</script> -
Is there a way to have the photo details open in a new window like the slideshow does or if there a way to stop the photos from getting larger. Make the photo details go away
cynthia:
Go into your User/Library/Caches folder and empty the iWeb folder. Launch iWeb and give it another go. If that doesn't help boot into Safe Mode and try iWeb again. If iWeb works OK then there's a problem with some of the system and/or 3rd party extensions, etc. If iWeb still misbehaves a reinstall of iWeb might be warranted. If you get to that point you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iWeb" in the file name that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder. Then reinstall from the disk it came on and apply any iWeb updaters that you can download from Apple Downloads page.

How do I remove Ken Burns effect from individual photos?
The instructions say to " In the Photo Settings window, deselect the Ken Burns effect checkbox and then click apply". My interface shows the word "update" instead of "apply" which has worked when I change other settings such as the length of time a photo is displayed. However every time I deselect KB...it comes back! I have also tried to constantly save the project, trying to save the deselect process.
Has anyone an idea? BTW the KB effect is very poor for most vertical pictures as it will cut off the top of the photo.
powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.9) iMovie 6.0.3 version• Yes, the Photo Settings window says Update instead
of Apply because you are updating an existing clip,
not importing a new one.
However every time I deselect KB...it comes back!
• Not sure exactly what you mean there. Do you mean
that in spite of unchecking the Ken Burns checkbox
the Updated clip doesn't change? It still has the Ken
Burns effect?
YES - see solution I found below.
If so, it sounds like iMovie may be failing to save
the updated clip to disk. That can occur if the
project resides on an external disk that uses the
wrong disk format. iMovie requires the Mac OS
Extended disk format. To check yours, see this:
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=41

I had our office software person check this out.
BTW the KB effect is very poor for most vertical
pictures as it will cut off the top of the photo.
• The Ken Burns effect can't read our minds. It only
does what we tell it to do. For photos that have a
portrait orientation it's normal to adjust the
zoom/pan so the rendered clip stays within the photo.
Note that it's possible to drag the photo in the
Preview window to adjust both the Start and End
points. So for a tall photo you may want to zoom/pan
up-or-down instead of side-to-side.
Note too that the settings in the Photo Settings
window always accept those settings of the last photo
we imported, updated or clip clicked on. So once
you've imported a tall photo with the Ken Burns
settings you like, you can easily apply those
settings for another photo. Just click on that
previously-rendered tall clip in the Timeline before
importing your next tall photo.
Karl
Karl,
Thank your for your input and in the last couple of days I have been able to produce the iMovie. But I now have another question about burning it.
Let me point out that I was able to deal with the Ken Burns issues by deleting the photos I wanted to change and replacing with new photos and using your tips + the help menu on "adding motion to your photos" to zooming right / left / vertically (which was very helpful).
Now that I have my project I cannot burn it as I get the following:there is not enough space to encode the aspects and in the pull down: "iDVD needs 2.350 GB of disk space to encode the remaining assets, but only 1.231 GB are available" I tried to cut down the files by deleting 5 chapters thus reducing the menu to one page showing chapters. I also re-saved the project with a new name.
BTW - I did burn it once but needed to fix it as the opening menu didn't have sound and I saw some other small photo details I wanted to fix. This version had 11 chapters on 2 menu pages with photos in the background. Essentially all I did was add a few more photos in motion and add the sound. That is why I thought maybe it was too much and removed the chapters saving one remaining page with music. I also do not have it on wide screen format as that uses more memory.
Can you help me with this? I don't understand why I'm getting the same message no matter what I do.
Many thanks,
Rozy
