Photo editing app for iPad 2 ?

Hi can anyone tell me of a decent photo editing app for iPad2.
I use aperture 3 on my MacBook pro but would like to find one for the iPad for the times that I can't use the MacBook.
It doesn't have to be all singing all dancing software but also I don't want a very basic one either.
Perhaps someone knows of one ?

Photo gene looks a good app and also gives the option to upgrade to a pro version.
Have you tried the pro version or do you have the basic?

If we upgrade to a Professional Edition DPS license can we create an unlimited number of Single edition apps for iPad, iPhone and Android devices?

I work for a organisation based in Sydney and we have a team license for creative cloud (single edition).
We have been producing single folio apps for the iPad and want to continue this through 2015.
At the moment we can only create apps for the iPad platform. If we upgrade to a Professional Edition DPS license can we create an unlimited number of Single edition apps for iPad, iPhone and Android devices?
We do not need multi-folio apps as we are not a publishing company.

Photo-Sort app. for iPad won't let me open it after purchase!

I just purchased the Photo-Sort app for iPad but when I click on the icon it does not open. It does a little strange blip and then nothing happens.
Anyone know how I can use this app and ix this problem?

I would delete it and redownload it. If you signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased the any app you will not be charged again.

Is there a video editing app for ipad that will allow the adjustment of the speed of a clip?

I'm trying to speed up/slow down clips in a project on iPad, which, I have found, iMovie does not allow you to do. Is there another app that will allow me to do so?

You can't do anything in the background of iOS. Apps are still one at a time (with a few exceptions like Music), and suspend when the app is closed. It's also against the App Store guidelines to sell apps that would allow such actions.
Though, maybe you could get your Voice Memos saved to MP3's, which can play in the background of other apps.

Is Adobe Photoshop the best?
I have a picture where the subject is holding a wine glass which covers part of the chin. I'd like to remove the wine glass and touch up the chin so it doesn't show that the picture has been edited.

Photo editing app

Anyone know of a robust photo editing app for the ipad that offers brush control like those found in Aperture 3?
Most of the apps on the app store provide just one touch filters that apply to the whole image and I think that's too lacking.
I know filterstorm has some form of brush control but that app is really slow, and I don't want to pay $3 for photogene only to find out it only has simple one filters. Any alternatives you guys suggest?

I understand the iPad isn't really a viable option for photo editing, but I think it'd be suitable for images that require minor touch ups, and brush controls using touch would be useful. Would be nice if I could lug my desktop 1700 miles away or use my wacom on my mbp in the plane w/o disturbing the passenger next to me. Unfortunately the iPad seems the most portable in these scenarios.

What do you guys feel is the best photo editing app for the new iPad ?

Snapseed. Little bit of learning curve with hidden menus swiping up and down to navigate, but very quick once you have the hang of it. Spot adjustments are great.
Photogene is also very good. I pretty much only go to it for touching up blemishes.
Apple's iPhoto gets rave reviews, but I haven't used it, so I can't weigh in. Was already invested in and comfortable using the other two already.

Photo editing apps

Can someone tell me if there are some proper photo editing apps for the iPad yet?
I'm not talking about the "toy-like" apps you can also get for iPhone and iPod, but something more serious like PS Elements. Performance wise the iPad should be able to run such an app, it's got enough processing power.

It isn't LR or PS but I thin Photogene seems to be pretty decent. Seems similar to iPhoto which is about all I need on the road on a non photo related trip. I am having one problem emailing the shots that I just posted about but that isn't a show stopper.

IPad video editing app for HD video and Flip HD video

Has anyone found an editing app for HD video and Flip video? I've downloaded ReelDirector only to find out they don't recognize Flip Video format and they don't really do HD, only output to HD...which is silly.
I want to be able to edit my little Flip videos and post to FaceBook and my blogs....

The iMovie app is for the iPod touch and iPhone. As for editing flip videos on the iPad. Now that i can use the CCK to import flip videos into the ipad. Would be nice if there was an app for editing these videos on the iPad.
Fair warning about the free Flip app in the app store. If you use it to upload videos to YouTube, it only uploads a low quality video, SD. Best bet is to use the photo app which uploads a higher quality video, night and day comparison in quality between the two apps.

Yes, unless the iOS version is explicitly marked as free. Mac OS X and iOS versions of the same application are separate products.
