I got new photo editor app update but rather updating the existing photo editor app on my phone it installed a new photo editor app what should I do now

Two Photo Editor apps

Recently my Z3c(D5833, bought in HK) got a update for Photo Editor and I installed it immediatly.
However, when I go to Album and click the Editor button for a photo, the pop over menu shows two Photo Editor apps.
First one is with the old style(Android 4.4) icon and interface, and I can tell it is the original one from 4.4. Version: 23.1.A.0.2. The namespace of this app is: com.sony.china.photoeditor.
Another is with the new style(Android 5.0) icon and interface, and it is the new one I got update today. Version: 5.0.A.0.12. The namespace of this app is: com.sony.photoeditor.
Apparently, the old one should be replaced by the new, but I don't know how to uninstall the old one. Functionality of each one is just the same, but there are still some improvements of the new one, and I really appreciate the new 5.0 style interface!
Is anyone could help me?

Of course with different icons and interface, the new interface has a sliding separator style to show difference between edited and original photos. I meant I have the same issue as you.

Photo Editor APP

I need a suggestion on a Photo Editor APP, that will allow me to write captions on the photos...
Any suggestions?

hi all
odd experience what I wanted to highlight with you all.
I've just had an updated (this morning) to What's New build 3.0.A.0.2
After installing this patch / update, I was then told that "Photo Editor" was available to download. Build is 5.0.A.0.12
As far as I'm concerned I've not had this app on my phone before - checking in system apps reveals this is a fresh install, rather than an update to an existing app.
Also, I've not worked out how to run it, as there's no app shortcut on my homescreen. The app is not visible in the app picklist (when adding new items to my homescreens) either. Nor is the app in the main app list (accessed with the 6 dots button in the middle of the permanent shortcut panel on the homescreen).
I've even tried using a very useful app "quick shortcut maker" and although I can find photo editor in its activity list, when i test the generated shortcut, I get "unfortunately, photo editor has stopped".
Any ideas?
I do have some apps disabled, so does photo editor have any known dependencies?
EDIT: I've tried clearing photo editor data and restarting - no change.

Photo Editor is a system app only, it is available for use when editing photo's through your Album or Photo's app. For example, if you go into Album > tap on a photo > tap the icon at the bottom that looks like a pencil on paper > tap Photo editor.

Photo Editor Album Update Bug!

I used to be able to crop photos in photo editor (especially using 1:1 ratio) and it did not have any problems, until I updated my Photo Editor. Now everytime I crop a photo with 1:1 ratio, it doesn't work! Photo becomes longer and the ratio is so inaccurate! Please fix this, I can't use my most favorite feature anymore!

How about settings > apps > all > album > uninstall updates > restart your phone > update the app > check again

Missing video and photo editor apps

hi , I'm jishnu and I'm writing this here very sadly. I restored my 603 , I used delete and restore option. My 603 is now runnin on belle fp2 . I restored two time with the same option but with belle fp1 . How to get back those apps. Even the gallery pluggins for editing are not much useful

My phone is running on Belle FP2,,!! Once i hard resetted my phone, and after that the photo editor and video editor disappeared from the menu....!!! A few months later I installed an Iphone simulator app...,,,, (this is the link)...

I haven't seen any mention of adding the text feature to photos, but Apple is always tight lipped on new features. Try a photo editor app like the one below.

Album photo editor sharp filter preview issue

All,
when I try to edit a photo selected from album using the built-in photo editor, for the sharpness filter I have issues with effect preview. The photo gets distorted in a weird way.
At the moment I can't upload a picture but the problem was described in another forum (so far without solution), please have a look:

I believe there was an update to the ALBUM app. Anyway for additional info my ALBUM app is version 6.4.A.0.16
I thought it was important to highlight that the problem with sharp filter scrambling up pictures still exists.
And by the way it sometimes does and sometimes does not occur regardless of whether pictures were taken with front/rear camera of my Z2 or imported from another camera (RX100 II). Therefore I can't really say what triggers this...
Can someone please try to use the sharp filter on a few pictures and check if he or she has the same issue? Hard to believe I'm the only one.

Btw. I'm guessing the bug is in the PHOTO EDITOR app which I think is only accessible via ALBUM and may not have been updated together with ALBUM

Problem with photo editor

Hey, i posted this problem earlier but can't find the post anymore. The problem is that if I'm connected via wifi or mobiledata my photo editor crashes. If I try to edit a photo it says that photoeditor has stopped . If I turn on airplanemode or disable wifi and mobiledata it works fine.

Best photo editor for mac?

I am looking for a comprehensive photo editor app.
I have downloaded FX Photo Studio Pro, but I am very unsatisfied: the actual editing tools are very limited.
I don't care about effects or frames: I need tools to reduce image size, select parts of an image, copy, paste, etc.
any suggestion?

yes, oddly enough, I suggest FOTOR, and its FREE , ..go figure, very highly rated.
The best "almost as good as photoshop but not as complicated and easy to use" is PERFECT PHOTO SUITE 7
Pixelmator is probably the best cheap "does it all great photo APP" and many agree on that.
Acorn and Graphics converter are close runners up.
In this order
1. FOTOR (free and awesome)
2. Pixelmator
3. Graphics converter / or Acorn
4. only #4 due to cost, but great stuff,...is PERFECT PHOTO SUITE 7
The best of course is Photoshop, but its expensive and takes 100 years to learn all its functions.

Hi i have a NOKIA 500 BELLE and in my app PHOTO EDITOR i have hundreds of photos i dont want and its taking up alot of memory is there anyway to delet thoes photos?

The pictures displayed in your phone's Photo Editor application are the same as the ones in your gallery. They are not a copy of the pictures, they are the displays of the same files from the memory. If you would like to free some memory space, I advise you to delete the unwanted pictures from the gallery. Once deleted, these pictures will not be displayed in the gallery or in the Photo Editor app anymore.

Can no longer open photo album in photo editors get apps without crashing

Since last iOS update I am no longer able to open my photo album in photo editing apps like Snapseed etc.As soon as I open the photo album the app crashes. I have reinstalled iOS update through iTunes also changed various settings for photo app and reinstalled photo editing apps without success. I have run out of ideas. Please let me if you have any ideas or suggestion on how to fix this.

All contacts, photos and apps deleted after updating to IOS 6

After updating my 4s to IOS 6 all my contacts, photos and apps were deleted. I even tried connecting to itunes and restoring to backup with no luck. Any idea how I can re-gain all my contacts, photos and apps?

Use iTune to update your apps.
Check for Updates (bottom right) in iTune. When download is completed, sync to iPad.

Photo editor 4.0 (3.1.A.0.46) update, different than in my z3c

anybody tried to install it? what happen, will there be 2 photo editor? my current photo editor version is 23.0.1.A.0.1, and when i opened the file, it asks to install as new app, instead of an upgrade

they both are sony photo editor. maybe there will be 2 photo editor like movie creator.
my current one looks good enough.
