Photo effects are lost after transfering images to laptop

Dear all,
my problem is  the following: when I take pictures with my new iPhone 5 (using the regular camera  app), I always apply effects (color filters).
In  my phone screen I can always see and send the taken pictures with the correctly  applyed effects.
The problem appears when I transfer the pictures to my laptop (windows 7 system) through USB (with or without using iTunes). Then, all transferred  pictures appear on my computer WITHOUT any effects or WITHOUT any cuts which I did with the camera app. Is this normal?  Anybody has the same problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

When you Insert a graphic from a file you should see a check box for Link. If unchecked the image should imbed.
If you have previously Linked images then Edit > Links > Break Link should cause them to become imbedded.

    I upgraded my system to windows 7 ultimate from Vista and installed itunes 64px. but when I copy the old itunes folder into D://music and opened itunes, all my music cannot be played. each link shows the mp3 location as: file://localhost/D://music/itunes... ... I ve tried deleting library file and copy/past the original one again. doesn't work. what should I do now. It's 106 GB songs. I cannot locate them one by one nor lose all my ratings and play counts.

    Was that Win 7 update from Lenovo, or Microsoft?  If Lenovo, it should have installed those missing features. If it was from Microsoft, you have to manually install the Lenovo drivers and software.
    The easiest way to do that is to first install ThinkVantage System Update and run it.  It should download and install the other drivers and apps.  I'm running Win 7 pro 64 on my T400 - a MS upgrade clean install, then TVSU installed the Lenovo stuff.  Everything works.
    Use the "SUPPORT" button at the top of this page, then "Download drivers and software" enter T400, install TVSU and you should be off to the races.

    acapetown is the one who really solved this for me: his suggestion to create an empty folder and sync to that was THE ONLY solution that actually worked for my iphone 4s. Everything else about uncheckign "sync" and unchecking events DID NOT WORK. I think there is more than one glitch in this system because I noticed a lot of other people struggling with the question. Now my phone is light as a feather again and I can actually benefit from backup to the Cloud. Thanks acapetown!

  • Rollover effects are lost when exported as Fireworks HTML

    I created a simple graphic in Fireworks, which has a rollover
    effect. The finished symbol was assigned a LINK, ALT and TARGET in
    Fireworks, and exported as an .htm file. Every slice was selected
    and saved in the IMAGES folder.
    After I placed the htm file in Dreamweaver, I previewed it in
    Safari and FireFox. It worked perfectly. After I uploaded it to the
    Web Host, however, all effects were lost.

    The effects are limited to the word "enter."

    Hmm. It looks okay in Chrome, but I see it pulls apart in IE
    7. That is probably due to inconsistencies in CSS rendering between
    the different browsers. Using Fireworks won't help you with that.
    You're going to have to modify the CSS to account for browser
    differences if you want it to address those little spaces. The CSS
    for the Spry accordion element is very simple and I don't see any
    hacks to get around the box model differences that I know people
    use. You might ask on the Dreamweaver forum, but it certainly isn't
    anything that Fireworks is going to fix for you.
    Also, there are some other maintenance issues I see in your
    page. Your navigation images are directly using the Fireworks
    naming scheme, such as jlwa_main_r2_c2_f2.jpg. When you export your
    images from Fireworks, give them good, reasonable names so that you
    can maintain the code. You have a row of unnecessary spacer gifs in
    your header. You should pull your CSS out into a separate file,
    rather than having it embedded into each and every file. That way,
    you only need to edit it in one place to have it take effect
    everywhere. Give your styles meaningful names, too, descriptive of
    their purpose. You have style1, style4, style5. If you want to edit
    them, you don't even know what they are without digging into the
    HTML code.

    I noticed that after a Web Service (Data Connection) is executed inside the PDF (XFA), all bindings are lost.
    For example, if there is a Drop-Down List Field whose Items (list) are bound to XML Data Source (Data Connection), this binding is lost after the Web Service is executed.
    However, the XML Data Connection is still there, as I could verify this, but I don't know how to rebind the data to the Drop-Down List after executing the web service.

    This comfirms that after you execute a web service, the Drop-Down List fields will become empty due to remerge operation. Well, I have to issue a remerge, otherwise, the PDF will not be populated properly.

    I have wrongly synced my iphone on my friend itunes and all the photo in the phone are now lost....
    How can I recover those photos? Those photos are really important to me....
    I didn't do any backup on icloud and even in my computer....

    IF you don't have a backup of your phone either thru icloud or iTunes, where do you expect to restore your pictures from?
    No backup no recovery your pics are gone.

  • Photos are lost after renaming iPhoto Library

    I changed the name of my iPhoto Library from the Finder, and now I can no longer find the photos in those libraries.  There are no "Modified" or "Original" directories with sub-directories of the photos any more.  I've also tried an application called "iPhoto Library Manager", and it couldn't find the photos either.
    Could renaming the directory change its content and cause the photos to be deleted?  Or have they just been moved?
    Is there any way to get the photos back?

    But when I do that, I get a screen that lists my current library.  I click on "Other Library" and get a window which shows all the sub-directories of my Pictures directory.  If I click on one of the other iPhoto Libraries, it just opens that sub-directory and asks me to select a file.  There are directories "Before Restore" and "Metadata Backup" and some files which are greyed out.  I go into those directories and some more greyed out files show up.  Nothing that could be selected.  What should I do?

    Afather upgrading to IOS 8 I lost all my photo stream pics. I checked on the cloud where I was advised they would be and they aren't there. Also, keep getting "uploading 1 photo" and screen shot doesn't work anymore.

    However, I could have sworn that they were all in albums in my iPhoto that were imported.
    Are you talking about iPhoto on your iPhone/iPad or iPhoto on your Mac? YourMac will keep photos, that have been imported to events.
    Your if albums in iPhoto iOS should have been migrated to photos. Did you migrate your iOS iPhoto Library?

  • Some sequences are lost after updated premiere pro 2014

    I downloaded trial ver of pp cc2014 last month and now got updated to 8.1 . before i had trouble with opening file  it was newer version of premiere pro edited and i couldn't get my file opened up again untill i have updated premiere cc 2014 in adobe application manager. and now i could get my file opened. but the main sequence is lost, i couldn't even find it in project panel either. i clicked open project choose the one i have edited before which is a month ago. and it says audio filter missing and bunch of codes. Whats happening here? please help!

    Go to HD/Library/Quictime and delete all .component files. It appears that the correct procedure is to delete all QT components and everything so far works. I have to do this every time I run after effects or Premiere Pro, and remember to put them back in again after shutting down software. Any ideas why this is happening folks?

    I was scared when using Sync if all bookmarks will be lost if it will not work sync. Now it finally came to this issue as I have main PC with bookmarks and while Sync was started ALL bookmarks vanished. I think this is not stable and you have changed something on server. These data are years of work and please help me how to bring back from last day ALL bookmarks.

    Firefox sync is intended to synchronise between computers, you may therefore have good bookmarks on another machine, is that the case ?
    Firefox also tries to backup bookmarks and keep spare restore sets, but''' take great care''' with these as they overwrite whatever you currently have, always make manual backups and keep them somewhere safe, eg the Windows desktop, outside Firefox program and profile paths.
    I suggest you backup whatever bookmarks you have now on all machines '''immediately''', (each day you delay may loose a snapshot copy) and then again after each of any restore attempts. It is a good practice in any event to regularly back up bookmarks manually, they are after all as you say often years of work.

    You are using Firefox 4 per the system info aside, that is not supported, it would be better to use Firefox 3.6 or Firefox 8

  • Interface Animations (effects) are "jerky" after Software Update

    Has anyone noticed this? It seems that all of the interface animations (between screens, lock, unlock, fly in and out) are all "jerky" or jagged after the software upgrade. I've restarted, still no luck. The effects aren't smooth and free as they were before.

    I noticed a rather jerky screen at one point, but it may simply be a process or re-caching because it wasn't present next time, and no other screen seemed affected.
