Photo elements 10 on iMac.

I recently purchased an iMac and Photo Elements 10. I have an Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD printer which is fairly new.
When printing the photos from iPhoto they come out perfectly.
When printing from Photo Elements 10 the quality is very poor and there are horizontal lines at about 1" intervals.
Can anyone help please?
The same photos were imported from a file on the desktop that had been downloaded from an external hard drive.
They import perfectly into iPhoto but most of them seem to end up with a little question mark in the corner when downloaded into Photo Elements 10.
I am old and no computer whizz kid so simple language please!

preferences and raised to 75% what is available for photo
I also reduced the cache from 6 to 2. The last two sessions the coloured

.psd (photoshop) files should open in preview to view them and make some simple adjustments.
If you want to edit them but don't want the expense of buying Photoshop (or Elements) for your Mac, consider downloading Gimp - it's free.

I am installing photo elements 10 on my IMac. Do I only use disc #3? What are the other 2 discs for?

Did you only purchase Photoshop Elements 10? If so the first two discs are for Windows installations.

How can I transfer photos from my iMac to my iPad and not lose the ones already stored on the iPad? When using iTunes to sync a folder from the iMac to the iPad it always removes anything previously synced.

I've just found out the reason for this behaviour. I am syncing from a computer which is different to the one I first synced with. iTunes can't cope with this situation so deletes anything synced from another source.

The easiest way is probably to use a USB flash drive (you may have to test whether it is compatible with the Mac OS 9 iMac).
Somewhat more complicated would be to connect the two computers via Ethernet to (the built-in switch of) a broadband router, and then transfer files over the Internet (or a local network).
There are other methods as well (FireWire, CD-R, et cetera), depending upon the exact computer models involved.

have the photos on the iPad been taken with the iPad camera or imported using the camera connection kit?
Or have they been synced to the iPad with iTunes?
You can download any photos to your mac by connecting the iPad by USB to to your Mac and import to Phots, but this way only photos from the Camera Roll will be imported. If your photos have been synced with iTunes, you can only mail them to your mac.

You can't reimport pictures synced from your computer to your device back to your computer. You can only import pictures taken by your device, or saved to it, from your device to your computer. If you need to retrieve synced photos from your device, email the photos from the device to yourself. Then download the photos from the emails to your computer.

You need to clarify what you are asking.
An iphoto installation has two major parts: 1. The application or program - that's the software and 2. The Library - that's where your actual pictures are.
So when you say:
I want to keep using the old Iphoto program on the new Imac. There is already an IPhoto program on the new Imac but I do not want to add or delete from that one.
It sounds like you want to move the application and not the Library. Most folks want to move the Library, and it makes no sense to have two versions of the application on your mac.

Need help with Photo Elements 11.0

I own Photo Elements 11.0 but can no longer use it. When I try to open Organizer, I keep getting an error message telling me that my license has expired. If instead I try to open Editor, I get an error message telling me that my pictures Library is not working. WTF is going on??

I have tried this. I downloaded the LicenseRecovery109.zip program and hit “Save.” I then downloaded WinZip. But when I open WinZip and try to find the LicenseRecovery109.zip file, it keeps telling me the file does not exist. Please help. This is ridiculous that I have to go through this for a program I paid for.

BNN, even though I understand what KT is saying, your thought resonates with mine. When it comes to building and maintaining my website, I see myself more as a photographer than as a web designer. Hence, even though Apple may not be actively developing (and we are guessing on this one, arent we) iWeb, the existing functionality should do plenty of good to me for next couple years at least.
That said, they released a point update a few days back and with the whole cloud thing building momentum and mobile me going for free, why would Apple want to pull the plug on such a fantastic product?
