I am reseting my Mac to factory and want to be able to restore my photo elements. Where can I find it?

Did you purchase a download of the software? Otherwise you should have a box somewhere which contain the install files.
You can try the following steps to see if you have a download available to you for Photoshop Elements 8.
Go to the Adobe Store for your country and sign in with your Adobe ID and password.
Click My Orders and then click Your Downloads.
Click Download for the product you want to download, and then do one of the following:
Click Download and follow the onscreen instructions.
Click Akamai Download Manager and follow the onscreen instructions.
Click Alternate Download Method, and then click the .7z and .exe files (Windows) or the .dmg file (Mac OS) to download the software to your computer.

No, not at all. They are both the most current versions for their respective platoforms, but PE 4 for mac is equivalent to (not by any means the same as) PE 4 for windows. PE 5 introduces smart sharpening, black and white conversion, curves, lens correction, new photo layouts in the editor, etc., none of which are in PE 4 for either platform.

I have old video clips in Photoshop Elements Organizer v12 for Mac. I want to divide some of those clips in Organizer. I can do that in Premiere Elements 12 and save them as "Projects" - but how do I get the divided clips back into Organizer?

Uninstall / Deactivate Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Mac?

A while ago, I purchased a copy of Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Mac. I installed the two copies permitted me by the license.
Since then, I purchased Photoshop, and have no need for Photoshop Elements. I wanted to uninstall it and give it to someone I know-- but I can't find any information on how to remove (and deactivate) it! Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about this?

I dont think there is an Uninstall alias inside the App folder in PSE 4.0 timeframe...we started adding that uninstall alias only in E8 version.
Can you please check inside the <Macintosh HD>\Utilities\Adobe Installers\ folder if there is any entry present to remove the application? If yes, then you need to double click it and remove the app.
Else, I am not too sure...I think in PSE 4 timeframe a user was needed to drag and drop the app folder to trash.
May be Barbara/John or senior members of forum can help and provide confirmation here.

I have my disc for Photoshop Elements 8.0 for Mac but my disc has been damaged and I have reinstalled my Mac, but now I cannot re install my PSE 8.0, where can I download it from?

It seems to work if i follow the directions posted on that page.
This is what i get on a windows system, maybe something is different on a mac
system.

I still have the Serial Number but lost the CD. Is there any way, I can download
Photoshop Elements 5 preferably for Mac? All I can find is the new release.

Hello i cannot intall the Camera raw 6.6 updater on my PS element 10 editor (from Apple Store)
The patch installer told me thet the patch cannot be applicated. Why ?
Any way to change that. May I install in a different way ?

How do I import images from a Canon scanner on Photo Elements 12 using a Mac

I have purchase a new Mac with the 10.9 version and I am using Photo Elements 12. I am trying to import images from my CanoScan 9000f scanner but I can't see the scanner in the Organizer, Files, Get Photos and Videos, there is no Scanner option. But I can use my scanner using the Canon Sofware for the scanner. Can you tell me what I have to do to be able to use my scanner directly on adobe Elements 12 ?

You do not use the 'Import' function under the File Menu to import P2 card content because the video content is still in its native form. For example, my Panasonic HPX 171 produces .MXF video files (amongst all the other files and folders within the overall heirarchy).
In order to access the copied P2 information you have to Log & Transfer it, as if it were a camera plugged into the computer. This process then converts the MXF P2 files into a Quicktime format that the Final Cut application can read and work with.
Take note that when archiving a P2 card as you did it is imperative that ALL the other files and folders are copied and saved. In other words, the entire 'CONTENTS' folder. It is this 'CONTENTS' folder that you navigate to within Log & Transfer when you want to import to FCP.

Photoshop is a professional image editing program. The features that you are expecting would likely be found in Photoshop Elements, a different program with a different forum.
Photoshop produces image files which you save somewhere on your computer. Then you use your mail program to attach those image files to a message. Photoshop is not an email program or CD burning program.

Photo element 12 problem with Mac os X

After few manipulations, my dialogues box are empty and it is impossible to save the work in progress. I need to stop Photo element 12 and i lose my work. I use an Intuos 4 Wacom palet. I you ave an idea to solve the problem, Many tanks

PS Elements 3.0 PC to PS Elements 6.0 for Mac

I have many tagged photos in Elements 3.0 on a PC. I want to install Elements 6.0 on my Mac (Mac OS X Version 10.5.6) but am unsure if the tags will be carried over.

Elements for mac comes with Bridge, which is more of a deluxe file browser rather than a full-scale organizer, although you can assign keywords and search by them and create stacks there. Many mac folks use iphoto, which came with your mac, if they want something roughly equivalent to Organizer.
Yes, any program (including OS X's spotlight search feature) that reads metadata will read IPTC metadata keywords once you make your tags into those.
