Photo Events on iPhone

My photo events are displayed with the newest at the bottom. How do I change this so my most recent events appear at the top?

You will need a third party app for this.
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/31722/iexplorer is one such but there are many others. Search on
MacUpdate
Note that photos synced to iOS devices are optimised for these devices and will be smaller and missing metadata.

  • Cannot select photo events with iPhone anymore with new upgrade - can we only use the cloud now?

    Hello,
I used to be able to select events from iPhoto that I wanted to appear in my phone. I cannot use photo stream for various reasons. The last time I synced my iPhone it would not allow me to select any events at all, but only reverted to the recent photo stream ONLY. Which means that none of my old photos can now be found on my iPhone. I hate this - I want some of my old photos. Why can't I select my old events? Please help!

Thank you so much for your answer! Yes, this is my 1st time to the community too, again thank you! Okay, here's the sequence that 'may' help explain; 1st- My son got an Iphone 4 & wanted to buy songs, etc., so I added his phone to my Itunes acct..--he consequently signs on under my email address (my Apple ID) & my PW. No problem then, it had/has listed ex. Mom's Iphone & Son's Iphone (mine is a 4s, don't think that makes a difference- except in telling u that Siri doesn't work properly now either & refers to my son's name now instead of mine!) As far as I can tell, the real problems began with the ICloud settings on our Iphones--meaning the settings on 'where' to back our phone's- ICloud or to the Laptop (both phones back up to the same laptop.) It's so complicated I can hardly explain it, so sorry if I'm bouncing around! I did not mean to or rather it was not an intentional decision to use the same ICloud, however since we share the same comp. and Itunes account, and basically passwords--it somehow happened. I don't know how to undo this mess! Last night I went to ICloud.com & was able to sign on with my son's @me.com user ID & our Itunes PW (aka-Apple ID.) It really didn't do anything except show me Iphone features, ex. Contacts, Ibook, etc.. I did 'not' see a place where I could change any settings, like to possibly change his Apple ID, or pw...that's all I can think of to change? And even with that I'm not sure how to do that...he's 14, a minor--so he has to be under my settings to a degree. Don't mind at all having seperate ID's, but we do share "some" music and app's for example. Is any of this making sense or even partially explaining my problems? Thank you in advance!

  • How do I get photo events from iPhone to iPhoto

I recently "mograted" to a new Macbook, during the process it only carried over iPhoto Events and photos from 4 months ago.  I checked all my time machines and the newer photos and events dont exist there.
All of the new photos and events are still on my iPhone.  When I connect the phone and open iPhoto, or any other syncing software it only shows the photos currently in the camera roll.
I need to import the newer events and it won't let me!
    Help!

That's because the photo sync is one-way: Computer to phone. There is no Apple supported way to import synced photos back to a computer. To do so requires third-party software, like this:
    http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
Bear in mind, the resolution of synced photos was reduced for display on your phone. There is no way to recover their full resolution.

  • Photo events not appear correctly in iPhone4

What can I do when photo events in iphone 4 appear very different (split in too many small events) from itunes/iphoto?

    Hi Robert,
According to FireBug, the following style in the PA_t15WL class is causing the problem:
background-position:0 50%;If you remove this, the button displays ok in FireFox - not sure what effect it has on IE7, though

  • Is there a way to transfer all of my photos in my iPhone's Photo Albums and Events to my new macbook?

My MacBook's hardrive failed. My only backup for iPhoto is on my iPhone. I bought a new MacBook Pro and I'd like to restore all the Photo Albums and Events from my iPhone. Is there a 3rd party app that is capable of this?
I downloaded iMacsoft to transfer music, books, etc. But it will only transfer photos in my iPhone's Camera Roll.

Are these photos on your iPhone?  Can you actually see them?  If so, then iCloud should see them as well.  All else fails, plug in the iPhone via a USB cable into the new Mac and iPhoto will launch showing you what photos you can import in.
Again, the old photos in question MUST be on the iPhone (i.e. you at one time sync'd your entire photo library to your iPhone, which to my knowledge also makes it available to the iCloud backup if you have enough room).
No, it is not easy to get synced photos back to the Mac. An iCloud backup does not include the synced photos nor the Photo Stream photos. See:
    iCloud: Backup and restore overview
One way to save the synced photos back to the Mac is to save them to the Camera Roll. This requires extra space on the device and much tapping, because it is not easy to save all photos at once to the Camera Roll. It would be easier with iPhoto iOS. Here you can share the the synced photos to iTunes and then save them using iTunes photo sharing on your Mac. In iPhoto you can select ranges of photos to share - much less tapping required.  See:  http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/#blnk7d8f763e
Use your photos in any app by saving them to the Camera Roll.
Import photos directly into iPhoto or Aperture on your computer.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes
Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Tap a photo, album, event, web journal, or slideshow and tap > iTunes.
Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to save (if you are saving a slideshow skip to step 4):
Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap one or more photos, and tap Next.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
In iTunes, click the button for your device and click Apps at the top of the window.
Below File Sharing, select iPhoto (in Apps).
Select the Shared Photos folder under iPhoto Documents.
Click Save To and select the location on your computer where you want to save the items.
To view your photos, go to the Finder and look in the location you selected above.

    Thanks for your reply
    I solved my problem,
Definitely a bug in syncing through itunes.
    - Connect Iphone with MacBook Pro through USB
    - Go to iphone on itunes, photos, deselect photo synchronization.
    - Sync (all pics will be removed from iphone)
    - Close itunes, iphoto, disconnect iphone
    - Select in finder: (home)-pictures-iphoto library.
    - Sec click on iphoto library and choose "show package contents"
    - Delete iPod Photo Cache
    - Close finder
    - Empty trash
    - Reconnect iphone
    - Allow photo synchronization again and everything works smooth.
After this, changes made in iphoto are instantaneously reflected in iphone photos.
Once every hundred photos, one gets detached from iphoto and then changes are no longer reflected (buggy) :-(
In this case I erase the photo in iphoto, sync, go back to iphoto trash, reestablish the photo from the trash and sync again.
Hope this improves. Still have to try cloud though.
    Thanks

  • How to sort photo events by date and avoid having duplicated photos on iPhone 6+

How to sort photo events bby date and avoid having duplicated photos. Before the sorting by date worked perfectly by specifying "sort events by date ascending" in iPhoto from my Mac. Now the sorting from iPhoto has no more effect on the iPhones. And photos are often duplicated when synchronisin. Before these problems didn't happen. How to do?

You can not  --  neither automatically or manually - you should never be in the masters folder and there is never a need to be - iPhoto is a SQLite database and it's database structure is determined by it (and changes from time to time) - use the supported access methods (direct access to the photo files is not supported and never has been) - either using iPhoto or using the media browser in the lower left hand corner of every open/attach/iupload window
It is CRITICAL that you NEVER make any changes of any sort to the structure or content of the iPhoto library using the finder or any program other than iPhoto

  • Photos app on iPhone contains photos under Events which aren't in iPhoto on Mac

    Hi,
When I open the Photos app on my iPhone 4S there are a series of "Events" which contain photos. None of these events are listed within iPhoto on my Mac and I can't find where it is taking the photos from. All the events are just labelled with a date, for example "17 Dec 2012", but I am unable to delete the photos from my iPhone and because they are not showing up in iPhoto I can't delete them from there!!
    Any suggestions?!?
    Thanks,
    Mark

I figured it out if anyone else is having the same issue.  I had to manually kill the photo app and it updated the pictures I just added when I re-opened it.

  • Photo event order on iPhone not matching iPhoto Oder.  Help

This has been driving me crazy.  I have all of my photos organized in events in iPhoto.  They show up in the right order.  When I go into iTunes I can see all of my events and they are still in the correct order.  But when I sync with my iPhone 4 or 5 events that are in the middle of the pack in iPhoto show up as the last albums in the photo albums on my iPhone.
    - I'm on Lion
    - I have new iPhone 4s
    - I'm using iPhoto '09 8.1.2

, but when I copied them to iphone 6,
How were you getting the photos onto your iPhone by copying them?

This response is a little late as I just read about your problem. I have a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and both worked flawlessly with the iPhone 5s my wife and I had. However, we just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and Uconnect will receive calls but you cannot answer them. You can callout successfully, however. the annoyance being the inability to answer incoming calls in the HandsFree mode.

Events do not appear in the photos from my iPhone  only albums and location. Would you helpe me?

If you are seeing your photos in "Last Import", the photos are somewhere in your library. Perhaps the dates are wrong, and you do not see the photos arranged by date, where you expect them to be.
Select one of the photos on "Last Import", then ctrl-click it and select "Show in Event".  That will take you to the event in event view.

  • Event In iPhone's Photos But Not In iPhoto

I'm running iOS 6 on an AT&T iPhone 4 and syncing photos through iCloud with my Mid 2009 MacBook Pro running 10.8.2. I noticed recently that there is a random photo event showing up on my iPhone but the same event does not exist in iPhoto 9.4.1 on my laptop.
The event contatins one photo. I tried the repair as well as the rebuild settings in iPhoto and the photo appears as recovered but even after I move it to a larger event the solo event remains on my iPhone. I removed all the photos from my phone and sync'd again with no luck.
I know this is a minor issue but part of my job is keeping photos organized so this lone photo event that I can't delete or combine is annoying. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi
Thanks for that. I also got Iphoto Library manager (the free trial) and rebuilt the library. Seems to have cured the problem.
I might be wrong but once you have rebuilt the library, you will need to trash the old one as both of them (essentially the same) will be on your Hard Drive, therefore taking twice the space needed. That's what I did and had no issue other than freeing space.
The libraries are found in the "Pictures" folder.
Now onto next problem ... Why my Iphone doesn't synch automatically anymore . Apple playing at Windows these days or what ?

  • I can't event photos from my iphone 4s

I have a photo event stored on my phone with pictures from an old pone that I don't want anymore. I can't delete them directly from the phone, however they've also been deleted off my computer (macbook pro) so I can't go under photos when my iphone is syncing and unselct them. How can I get rid of them?

First try resetting your iPhone.  Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't fix it, try restoring the iPhone.  Sync it to iTunes, then press the "Restore" button on the right side of the summary page in iTunes.
