Photo flow or flowstack galleries

Hello,
Not experienced with AS3, and made a gallery with photo flow AS2. Works beautifully. But now need to make
a similar automatic slide show in an AS3 flash clip. Of course the photoflow version is no option as far as I know, there is no AS3 version
of photoflow available. I found another similar component called Photo Stack. It is exclusively AS3, but have no idea how to get it running.
the swf file does work, but from the Fla file, it doesnt work. I think it has something to do with setting up flash libraries. I gave it a try but
I have no experience with such things. Does anyone have experience with photostack or any other similar automatic playing slide show I can use?

IPod 4G photo flow album photo delete

Hey guys , i got an iPod 4 . At the photo icon , i open it and i got 2 albums . the first one it is called Photo Album and the Second one Photo Flow .
At Photo album there is the trashcan icon where i can delete the photo , but at the photo flow there is no icon , and i want to delete photos from there. You know what i can possibly do? I have tried deleting them from the ipod photo storage(windows) but i didnt worked .

.Mac Web Gallery - How to change key photo and order or galleries?

How can I choose which photo is the key photo for each .Mac web gallery? Also, how can I re-arrange the order of the web galleries?

I would really love to see a solution for this too ! Unfortunately I think apple just didn't implement it in Aperture. My .Mac web gallery is about events in my life and it doesn't make any sense to have it sorted alphabetically...
Not being able to simply set a key photo is really annoying too.
The worst is that these two functions are available in iPhoto. All they had to do was copy and paste...

Updating photo's and movies galleries without using iweb

good day to you
i made a new website to my friend and upload it to his server
1. there are 4 galleries for photos and i want to give my friend the option to upload new photos, is there a way to make it in iweb? i want to get into one page and have there 4 photos for each gallery
and then when you press it you will be able to see all the other photos - and the big problem is how do i make it for him to update the photos ?
2. also like photos i want to do the same thing for movies is there a way?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Use a java script slideshow have him replace the existing image files i with new photos having the same file name. I have a couple of such slideshows:
Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes. Both themes only require uploading a full sized image, not thumbnail file is required.
Jalbum-Digital Photo Librarian Skin. There are over 100 different Jalbum themes to choose from. Many will not require a thumbnail file. Some do.
All your friend would need to to is create the image files in the same pixel dimension as what is created initially and at an optimized files size so it's not too big, somewhere between 30 and 200 KB, and up load to the folder containing the image files used by the java code.
Another type is this Conveyor Belt Slideshow. Again, you upload a folder of photos to the server and link to them in the code provided. You can change the code to use whatever size photo you'd like.

Iweb rearranges photo order when making galleries

Every time I drag a group of photos to iweb to create a gallery it scrambles the alphabetical and or numerical order. How can I fix this? Help!
I'm using a macbook pro with 2.4 ghtz chip, Mac OS X (10.5.5), iweb 2.0.4. I do not use iphoto.

Are you just dragging the photos from the Finder into the photo's placeholder section? Set the folder to *icon view,* select all the photos and drag into the iWeb photo page. That should maintain the alphanumerical order that was in the folder/Finder.
However if you have sequential numbering I suggest you pad zeros to the sequential number if they already don't have them. By that I mean -001, -002, 010, etc. If you have just -1, -2 -10, they will not import correctly. You'll get -1, -10, -2, -20, etc. If you don't have sequential numbers tacked on the end of the file name then it should be a straight alphanumerical import.

Photo flow object not using thumbnails, only the primary image

I'm currently evaluating the trial version of this to see if it's something we can tweak to the way we'd like it, and I can't seem to get the object to use the thumbnail views (presumably for the angled views to either side of the centered image). What we're trying to do is to use a version of the image with a fixed location "tool tip" above it when it's centered and displayed at the full size, but use a "thumbnail" image that doesn't have this. The intention is when an image is centered, a box will be above the image with a brief description (the powers that be want it stationary rather than hover with the mouse location), but the thumbnail views to either side will not have it.

"magesFolder" is set to PhotoShow/images (relative to the location of index.html), and the images load fine...it's just that I've tried swapping thumbnail images to mix them up (even with the example version I downloaded), and it seems as though it's using the primary image for both the thumbnails and the centered version. Is there a variable missing from the XML file or a PARAM missing from the HTML file that would enable/disable the use of thumbnails globally.
Is this perhaps an undocumented limitation in the trial download version that would be remedied in the paid version, or is there something else amiss?

Aperture - flow through to IPhone/IPad Photos

Could someone please explain to me how the Aperture 3 Albums (and related photos) flow through to the Photo App on my IPhone and IPad?
Some photos show up immediately, some show up in an hour, some never show up ... am i missing something?
Does my IPhone/IPad need to be connected to the computer to get updated?
Sometimes it is, sometimes it is not?
Is there a way to force sync to Aperture 3?

Mark,
the most reliable way to sync your albums and projects using iTunes. Connect your iPad/iPhone to your computer using USB. The will appear in iTunes in the "Devices" section of the Library inspector, and when you select them, you can select in the "Photos" tab the albums and projects that you want to sync. This will sync immediately.
The other way to transfer images is the Photo stream. This will sync, when the network is available and the photo stream is enable on both devices.

Added photos in web gallery synced back to iPhoto?

when others add photos to my web galleries, i can't find where they are synced back to on my mac. For example, if I publish an event "Beach" and my friend adds a picture taken from her camera to the web gallery, it does not sync back to the original 'beach' event in my iphoto library....instead its saved to an unlisted '2008' - 'originals' folder in iPhoto. Is there a way so that if someone adds a photo to the web gallery it will sync back to the original event folder that the web gallery was published from?

You're not neurotic MJM80, This problem drives me nuts.
I created a web gallery album through ME.com from my office computer. The album shows up in iPhoto under MOBILEME GALLERY on my Mac at home but it does not create an album or even in iphoto that corresponds to the web gallary album. The photos only exist in the web gallery they are not transferred to my iphoto library at all. Very annoying.
Anyone who has an issue with this should post it in the discussions and send feedback to apple. MOBILEME GALLERY sync should work in both directions.

Photo Gallery Demo Problem

I'm trying to understand the Photo Gallery demo so I can
replicate the function for use on various sites. I've copied the
html, xml, javascript and some of the photo file elements to my
hard drive. I initially modified the file structures to something
more of my liking, but had some problems with the links. I've since
mimicked the structures so I can reduce the initial errors, but I
am stumped at the var dsGallery and var dsPhotos statements that
dynamically link to the China, Paris and Egypt photo databases. In
the original dynamic definition, DreamWeaver only parses the
dsGalleries XML definition, not defining the dsGallery and dsPhoto
nodes. I wasn't too concerned about that given the variable nature,
but nothing except the pull-down menu and controls displayed in the
browser. DreamWeaver shows correct parsing of the dsGalleries XML,
dsGallery and dsPhoto nodes only when I eliminate the dynamic
linking and set it to one of the static links (Egypt). This fails
in the browser to link to the data, giving a display that shows the
correct number of empty thumbnail frames but without the displayed
photos, no Spry effects, and no large photo display. I'm sure I
have multiple reference errors, but I don't see them. Any ideas?

DreamWeaver CS3 Web Photo Gallery Help

I bought the Adobe Web Design package to put together a good
(hope springs eternal) Web site to showcase about 60 oil paintings
that are presently available at different poster sites. I am a
novice to DreamWeaver; started my basic web page. I now need to add
the photos in 6 different galleries - landscapes, waterscapes, etc.
I assumed I was going to do this in Photoshop CS3/Fireworks and
import it to the site I am building with DreamWeaver, but 2
problems confront me:
(1) I could not find a Photoshop CS3 photo gallery template
that allows for a text paragraph adjacent to a larger image when
clicking on thumbnails laid out on the side or the bottom of the
page, or am I wrong?
(2) It appears that Photoshop CS3 generates an independent
web page for the photo gallery - is it even possible to import a
photoshop cs3 web gallery into an existing DreamWeaver CS3 web
page?

Dunno as I do not have CS3; but I've used Photoshop a lot to
generate
galleries, then I modify them. I think your main sticking
point is
that you haven't found a Photoshop gallery that is close to
what you
want, is that correct?

What's to import? Photoshop outputs web pages and DW edits
web pages.

Adobe Photoshop Web Photo Gallery

Dear members,
My name is Rotem Katz and I'm a photographer. Recently, I'm having a big problem with my photography site.
The site is built by an HTML web pages technique. The Photoshop Web Photo Gallery created 8 galleries for me. [Each category has it high and low resolutions. (according to the resolutions I picked)]. Everything went well so far. Until one day, my antivirus decided to discover a lagre virus in these galleries. since then, it's been a big problem for computers with serious antivirus to get in to my site, because it throws them out from it. Several days afterwards, the galleries got completly crazy. My firefox do not allow me to get in to it, and other viewers syas that the gallerires do not excist.
I'm adding 2 Prtscns of the notifications i get. (important to say the the site is ok. only when I press the PORTFOLIO button or when I pick low or high resolution, it gets crazy). [In othe words - only when I press a 'link' to the photoshop web gallery].

that's between you, your anti-virus and your web server. You'll probably have to copy all the files from the server to your computer and scan them (though the anti-virus should pick up the viruses when you copy the files, it's best to also manually scan them). After you found out which files are infected, delete them from the server. Can't give you specifics because each anti-virus and server is differently set up.

How to have Web Gallery photos have a Watermark?

I created Web Galleries in Aperture 2.1. I have in the Presets for Web Exporting selected a PSD Watermark I made. But when viewing the photos on the Web Gallery, the photos do not have the Watermark.
I also changed the Presets for Image Export to include a Watermark and these export with the Watermark.
Is there a way to have the photos displayed on Web Galleries to include a Watermark for copyright?

How could they pass this over? I'm using Aperture 2.1.1 so they obviously haven't taken any of this to heart over the past few months. The web gallery feature is so simple and intuitive it's a bit of a slap in the face not being able to embed my watermark. It would only make sense given that they have made downloading your images so simple. If I want to give a client a link to download my pics they certainly need to have some form of copyright on them. Come on Aperture team! Make this stunning product just that much better and please add this feature!

Published photos don't link

I published some photos a few days ago and shared them with people who needed to see them.   But the link fails every time they or I try it.

I also noticed for the first time, that these albums are different from my albums on http://gallery.me.com/pbrazee .
I suppose I need to start preparing for when Mobile.Me is replaced.   At least, I'd like to combine these galleries.
How do I access the first gallery and share them again?

The iWeb photo page and iPhoto galleries are two separate entities. To get the same photos in iWeb that you have in the galleries you'll need to create new iWeb photo pages and add the same photos that you put in the galleries.
Since MobileMe is being discontiued on June 30, 2012, you will need to find a new hosting service to publish your iWeb photo pages to. Then you can continue to create iWeb photo pages or iWeb album pages to share your photos with others.
It is now apparent that iWeb, and iDVD, will no longer be supported by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD. iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
All of these issues can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. Apple has announced that iLife is now an unsupported product and those iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the boxed iLife 11 at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD. Those two apps were listed in small, gray text on the iLife 11 box that I bought. Personally, if I already didn't have a copy I would purchase one to have it for reinstallation purposes if ever needed.
A good 3rd party hosting service is HostExcellence.com. It offers a package for #3.95/mo (2 year committment) that offers 1 free domain name, unlimited storage and bandwidth, multiple email addresses and more. AND it has excellent 24/7, ear-to-ear, customer support.

How can I import photos to my ipad from someone else's imac?

I have a mobile me account and can get to it with browser. I am on someone else's computer and have some pictures in their iPhoto that I want to move to my iPad. Is there some way to get them there when I do not have access to my iMac? Can I somehow move them to iDisk and synch them?

Photos can be transferred to an iPad via the iTunes sync process from a single computer only. When transferring photos from another computer via the iTunes sync process, all photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPad first.
There is a free iDisk app available for the iPad via the iTunes store. If you transfer the photos to your iDisk, you can access the photos from your iDisk with the iDisk app, but you can't sync photos with your iDisk.
There is also a free MobileMe Gallery app via the iTunes store you can use to view photos in your MobileMe Galleries.

Where are the photos I uploaded through web gallery?

People have uploaded photos to my web galleries but they never appear in iPhoto and never make it into the web gallery either.
I just tried to upload a photo into an event on the web gallery. Everything looked fine and it appeared to accept the upload. However, the photo is not appearing in the event on the web gallery let alone iPhoto itself.
Any ideas?

I had someone upload photos to my web gallery and they would show up when I used Safari to look at the gallery page. When looking at the gallery page in iPhoto only the original photos appeared and didn't include the ones my friend uploaded. The problem was finding out how to get them into iPhoto's library.
I found, somewhere in the "help", a statement that you had to start iPhoto, then highlight the web gallery album, then click on the publish/sync icon (just to the right of the gallery album). This synced
my source gallery page to the published page.
However, I did have a problem arise. My friend uploaded a couple of duplicates. I was able to delete one of the duped shots but cannot get rid of the other one. No matter what I do, each time I click on the "publish icon" the dup shot comes back!
One last thing, to get the new uploaded photos into iPhoto, you have to select them and add them to the appropriate Event, otherwise they exist only on the web gallery and do not reside permanently in iPhoto. At least I think this is how it is working!!!!
