Photo Galleries into Albums?

I see how to create different Photo galleries in BC, however is there a way to make Albums out of the different photo Galleries?
Also, can there be a title over or under each event/album?
I want, if possible to make this "point and lclick" simple for the client.
How I can solve it for me;
I make a photo gallery folder
I upload all photos to that folder (they will be using FTP)
I then go to the photo page
make a table
enter the Name of the Album on the top Row
I Customize the Photo Gallery to show just 1 picture at 300 X 300.
Insert the Module into the place below the title of the album/event.
When the picture is clicked the slideshow opens.
Is there and easier way? I mean it seems easy for me, but if there is something that would be easier that I am missing for the client...

Thank you Alex.
Somewhat regarding this process. I have been having an issue with the lightbox feature on the Photo Gallery. Is there any way to see a MAX size when you click a picture and it opens in the lightbox? Can I constrain the slideshow that opens to resize the image? I have a client who has 1000's of pictures, most too big so it overwhelms the screen.
Is there any way to do this besides going through and editing ALL of their phots and then making them edit them all before they upload?

  • How to get MobileMe photo galleries into iWeb or from Aperture?

I currenlty use MobileMe for an iWeb  published site, on which I have a link to a several dozen photo galleries, all pub;ished from Aperture.  iPhoto has an iWeb "button", but Aperture does not so far as I can see.  I am trying to find the easiest way to keep all of my stuff intact once MM dies next year.  How can I migrate, not link, my MM photo galleries into iWeb, and/or publish them from Aperture into iWeb?  Once I have the photo galleries as part of iWeb, then I'll be able to use it to publish to another web hosting service.  Thanks!

Do you have the original image files used to make up those MMe Galleries?  If so you can group them into albums in iPhoto and use the iWeb Album page or Photos page and ignore the MMe galleries.
If the files are in Aperture and there's no Aperture section in iWeb's Media Browser you will have to export those files out of Aperture as originals and drag them either into iPhoto or into an iWeb photos page.  I don't use Aperture so an unsure of what can be done between Aperture and iWeb.
If those galleries are the only copy of the photos you have you'll need to download the file (if the gallery allows it) and import into iPhoto before going into iWeb.

  • Photo sequence in albums?

Recently updated to ios 8 and been really like the new changes to the photo app....
I have all my photos organised into albums, but I USED TO be able to choose which photo in an album was the one displayed when looking at all the album thumbnails in the albums menu.
Now the thumbnail seems to focus on a random photo within the album as opposed to the one I drag to the top of the album.
I know it's by no means a huge/pressing issue, but I was just wondering if it's something everyone else is having a problem with or is it just me? Also wondering if anybody knows of a way around this? (I may have slight OCD when it comes to these kind of things! XD)
Thanks in advance for any responses/help!

In my Photo app the photos have no names but are arranged in the order they were taken. In other words in date and time orde. But in iPhoto the order has been messed up. Anyone find a solution to get the photos back in order?

  • Can I organise photos into albums within iCloud Photo Library?

i Understand that edits / deletes etc in iCloud Photo Libary will be reflected on all my iOS devices but can I organise my photos into albums using iCloud photo library?
basically I want to take photos on my iPhone, review them on my iPad, delete the ones I don't want and keep the good ones in a relevant album (e.g. "Summer holiday 2014"). Then I want to be able to see identical albums on both my iPad and iPhone. From what I've seen so far, when I create an album and save a photo to it then that album is only local to that device?
    please help.

Are you saying it showed 800 photos before turning off iCloud photo library or that the 800 photos disappeared after you enabled iCloud photo library for the first time, the distinction is quite important.

OK, here are a set of screenshots with my step by step - maybe you will be able to spot where I've gone awry:
I find a photo in the Library that I will delete from an album:
I go down to my Albums and find the picture in one of them:
I hover over the pic so the little down arrow appears in the bottom right-hand corner. I click on it, then click on the Trash Can in the window that drops down:
    Gone from the Album:
    Gone from the Library:
    In the Trash:
    Whaddup with that?

  • My iphoto events were not transformed into albums in Photo. Is there a way I can retrieve them?

My iphoto "events" were not transformed into albums in the new Photos for Yosemite, and therefore I am back with my bulk pics, not filed. Is there a way I can retrieve the classification I had made, please?

Whenever you connect iPhone in iTunes, it syncs and a backup is created. Check backup folder if you have that time-stamped file saved.

  • Can't move photos into albums

    Hi there,
ever since I upgraded to iPhoto '09 I can't seem to move photos into albums that I am editing.
When viewing the photos in "normal" list mode there is no problem to move them into an album. I grab the photo, drag it onto the album and a green plus sign appears indicating that it is possible to add the photo. When I drop it and check, the photo is indeed inside the album as it should.
When I double click the photo to go into edit mode I see the enlarged photo and a strip of photos running along the upper edge. This is just like in iPhoto '08. It used to be that I could grab photos in that strip and drag them to an album. When I do this now the green plus sign does appear just as before, which makes me think that I can indeed add it to the album. However, when I check the album the photo is not there.
Is this a bug? Is it some preference that I can set?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

  • How can I sort photos into albums on my iPad and then export them to my iMac?

I want to import photos from my camera card into my iPad, sort them into various albums then export the albums to my iMac. I have 12 albums in Photos with around 300 photos on my iPad, but when I connect it to my iMac iPhoto tries to import all of the 1800 photos without the album structure. How do I transfer the albums and the 300 photos in them to my iMac?

Yes, but the recipient may not be getting the full image file that was used to make the Shared Photo Stream. You would have to run a test to see if there's any reduction in the image and file size. The following is from iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
What resolution are the photos in shared photo streams?
Shared Photo Streams deliver photos in a device-optimized resolution that speeds upload and downloads and saves storage space. While actual dimensions will vary, an optimized version of a photo taken by a standard point-and-shoot camera will have a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide.

    just import the iPhoto
Surely you meant "just import the photo"?  The Spell checker is dangerously creative !

  • Why are photos I deleted from Camera Roll re-appearing in CR when I put them into Albums from Photo Stream?

Last night I deleted some photos from my Camera Roll (on iPhone 3GS) using cable connection to my PC. I then went to Photo Stream (the photos were, correctly, still in there) and put some of them in Albums in the Photos app. Some, but not all, have now re-appeared in Camera Roll - and, very unhelpfully, not in the order they were taken. I don't want these photos in Camera Roll but can vaguely accept and understand if the app HAS to copy the Photo Stream photos to Camera Roll if you put them in Albums and they are not in Camera Roll already but then why are there 2 photos (in different Albums) that this is not happening for?
    Any ideas/advice?

    Thanks for your comments.
I connected the iPhone to my PC with the USB sync cable (I usually sync by Wifi) and opened the iPhone as a Windows window. Went to the relevant DCIM folder for the Camera Roll and Deleted them there. I checked on the iPhone before and after sycning that they had been deleted from Camera Roll - and they had. I only have one Camera Roll album (no chance of another album being synced).
They remained deleted from my Camera Roll until I put the copies of the photos held in the Photo Stream album (which I purposely did not delete them from) into an album. They then appeared in my Camera Roll again. Now, if I delete them from Camera Roll again (either direct from iPhone Photo app or via USB cable) they still reappear in my Camera Roll if I put them in an album from Photo Stream. I can see it happen before my eyes as each one appears after I have selected the photos from Photo Stream, used Share to put them in an album and then go to Camera Roll - they pop up one at a time.
It would make sense to some extent except that there are two photos (in two separate albums to the ones that are reappearing) that have definitely been deleted from the Camera Roll, have been put in their respective albums from Photo Stream but are not reappearing in Camera Roll. And, as far as I know, I did exactly the same things with them. I don't want to have the photos back in my Camera Roll but I cannot find any explanation as to why one set is appearing back in Camera Roll and these two are not.

  • I'm finally moving my photos from my PC to my MacBook Pro.  I have 8 years worth of photos organized into very specific albums.  Can I import the album structure directly into iPhoto or am I going to have to recreate everything in iPhoto?

If you want to duplicate your Folder Tree in iPhoto:
Start at the bottom of the hierarchy and drag a folder of images to the Album Heading in iPhoto. The pics will be imported and an Album of the same name created.
You can then create the Enclosing Folders in the iPhoto Window (File -> New Folder) and drag the Album to it. Folders can contain other Folders (Nested Folders) and Albums.
However, is your folder system date based? Then this form of organisation is a bit pointless in iPhoto when Smart Albums or the Calendar tool (Click on the wee magnifying glass in the Search Box) mean you can find the photos taken on any day, month or year at a click. With Smart Albums it's easy to find photos from specific range - say, June 3 to August 25, 2009 etc.
If your folder system is theme based - Xmas pics, Birthday pics etc, then you'll find Keywords are much more flexible, and can be used in conjunction with other criteria for making Smart Albums and searches.

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.
    What computer do you have?
