Photo Gallery bug in IE7

http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/demos/gallery_pe/dynamic/index.html
On mouseover, selected thumbnail expands behind other
thumbnails instead of hovering over them. Works fine in FF.
Is there a way to fix/override this?

@Kin
The gallery demo files do not put an anchor link around the
thumbnails. The article you list is describing how to alter the
files for (newer?) examples that require about 8 different include
files -- which, given the already HUGE download hit required to run
a photo gallery, seems excessive.
Can adobe not write up a solution that works for the sample
files for the gallery that only requires 3 includes + 1 css file
(which can be added to your own style sheet to avoid yet another
file download)?
Or, is there someway to grow the thumbnails from the bottom
right corner, thus avoiding any overlap by subsequent thumbs? I
tried setting the grow from center to false in SpryEffects but it
appeared to have no effect on the function in the gallery.

  • N97 Photo Gallery Bug

    Hey all. I've found yet another issue with the N97's software, and I'm looking to see if anybody else has had this come up with theirs as well, if anybody has their N97 anymore.
    It seems that for some stupid reason, whether it be from constantly connecting to my computer via USB Mass Memory mode, the photo's that I have taken with the N97 camera stopped showing up in the "Captured" list of photos. I used to have 100+ in that list. Then I had 35, and now I only have 15. All the rest of them are showing up in the "Downloads" photo list.
    This of course is in addition to all the other shennanigans that I have to deal with in terms of the photo gallery in general. You know, how photo's don't show up clearly when zoomed in on, or how you'll get kicked out to the homescreen while trying to zoom in sometimes or how the phone will fake like you're going to the homescreen all of a sudden and then bam, it's back to showing you your zoomed into photo.
    Just wanted to see if anybody else was experiencing the captured photo's bug.

    I FOUND A GOOD SOLUTION BY USING THE NEW VERSION OF NOKIA PHOTO BROWSER ! IT WORKS GREAT AND BETTER THAN THE INCLUDED ONE WHICH HAVING SOME BUGS AND RESLUTION PROBLEMS !

  • N8 PR1.1 Photo/Gallery Bug

    I took a photo and it looks fine however in the gallery if i double tap to zoom in the image flips horizontally like its been mirrored. It has only happened with this one photo.
    White 808 Pureview NAM

    Silver N95-3 NAM

    That doesnt fix anything...  its only that photo and if i look at in the gallery and or screen fitted its fine. If I zoom in or double tap it will have the mirrored version.

  • IOS 5 photo gallery bug

    A few issues here. For 1, I cannot delete any pictures, I am not talking about photostream, I have that feature off, a new photo taken can not be delete. It acts as if it is deleted then a second or 2 later it reappears. Also, when opening a photo they are all terribly pixelated. My whole gallery is messed up, any one else having these issues?

    FYI, Apple doesn't read these posts.  You can give them your feedback & suggestions here:

  • Gallery Demo and IE7 Z-Index Bug

    What is the workaround that corrects the problem in IE7
    whereby Spry's Grow function shows enlarged images behind (not on
    top) of their adjacent micro thumbs. Thanks in advance.

    I'm confused. The example for Spry gallery DOESN'T use an
    anchor tag around the thumbnails... In your article and in some
    posts, you say that the structure is:
    <div id="thumbnails">
    <div class="thumbnail">
    <a href="image.jpg"><img src="image.jpg"
    /></a>
    </div>
    </div>
    However, I downloaded Spry_1_6_1_022408 and copied the
    example thumbnails element & content verbatim:
    <div id="thumbnails" spry:region="dsPhotos dsGalleries
    dsGallery">
    <div spry:repeat="dsPhotos"
    onclick="HandleThumbnailClick('{ds_RowID}');"
    onmouseover="GrowThumbnail(this.getElementsByTagName('img')[0],
    '{@thumbwidth}', '{@thumbheight}');"
    onmouseout="ShrinkThumbnail(this.getElementsByTagName('img')[0]);">
    <img id="tn{ds_RowID}" alt="thumbnail for {@thumbpath}"
    src="galleries/{dsGalleries::@base}{dsGallery::thumbnail/@base}{@thumbpath}"
    width="24" height="24" style="left: 0px; right: 0px;" />
    </div>
    <p class="ClearAll"></p>
    </div>
    NO ANCHOR TAG. Even if you look in the generated source,
    there's no link surrounding the thumbnail image.
    So I guess I am unclear as to how to apply your fix? Using
    the 1.6.1 version, the sample function code you show doesn't match,
    nor does it seem to reflect your modifications...
    Any ideas? I managed to track down your post about the bug in
    IE 7 (it exists in IE6, too) [the demo link (
    http://mad.sweepingdesign.com/index.html)
    goes to a page that says "It works!"]
    The actual article can be found here, though the demo link
    shows nothing:

  • IOS 8 - Photos app bug - "stuttering" effect on Year view

    Hi Folks,
    On the iPhone6 Plus 128GB with iOS8.1.3 (with 15000 photos inside several years go), I notice that when using the Photos native app in the “Year view” (yearly mosaic view), if I scroll up or down slightly fast, the scrolling that you get has a little “stuttering” or “jerking” effect, so the UI is not perfectly smooth in this view inside Photos native app.
    Have you noticed it in your own iPhone's with iOS8.1.3. and also having a huge size photo callery as I have (>10000 photos spread in several years)? (I think that is it very important, because if you have not a huge photo gallery, probably you will not see the “stuttering” or “jerking” effect that I am describing).
    I think this is a bug which impacts iOS User eXperience, which needs to be fixed.
    Thanks by your feedback!

    Hi Guys!
    Any experience to share with us, please?
    Thanks!

  • Photo Gallery not showing photos in computer Web browser

    None of my photo gallery photos are showing up in a computer's Web browser?  They show up fine when you click "View Web Journal in Safari" on an iPad 2, but when I publish them to iCloud and Share the Web Journal Link, the photos don't show up??  It's happening with all of my Journals.  It doesn't work on a Mac or Windows?  What gives??
    You try it:https://www.icloud.com/iphoto/projects/#1;CAEQARoQdoVWsxptdYjcSQD-Rg1QVg;B692688 8-A220-4FF7-848F-6383BB15A5DB

    Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh, matey. They all show for me in Safari but require several page refreshes to get them all to display.  Those that don't display will if I click on it and then go back to the page.  However, when retuning to the first page will put be back at square one and require multiple refreshes to get them to display, but not always.
    Also, the page links are all messed up.  Clicking on them just returns me to the first page. If I Option click on a page link from Page 1 I will get to the right page.
    I am unable to get Firefox or Chrome to work at all on your gallery.
    Send a bug report to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.  You can include the URL to this topic in order to include my comments and findings.

  • Web Photo Gallery - Contact info not functional?

    When I build a web gallery, using the Flash Gallery (default) in the 'Template Browser', no matter what info I put in the 'Contact info' and 'Web or Mail link' boxes (under Site Info), it does not work.
    Example, under 'Contact info' I put the word 'Contact'....in the 'Web or Mail Link' I put 'mailto: [email protected] (I have not put my actual email here for purposes of this forum, and yes my email address is valid and will both send and receive in Outlook).
    So anyways, when I upload the new web gallery using Dreamweaver CS3, or if I just simply preview it using the 'Preview in Browser' button, well the word 'Contact' appears in the upper right corner of the web page (photo gallery - as it should since that is what I put as word in the 'Contact info' box, but yet when I click on the word 'Contact' it it does nothing. Actually when I click on the word 'Contact' the first time, there is a line that appears below (as if to identify a link). But as I say it does nothing, opens no email window, nada! Except for when I click on the word 'Contact' subsequently, there is no more line underneath as if the link had become inactive???
    I tried using another email address of mine, which is also shorter, but it does not work either....I also tried putting my main homepage address into the ''Web or Mail link' box and still nothing happens...it's as if the link is not functional...?
    Has anybody else experienced this? Am I doing something wrong? Is it maybe just a Flash Gallery bug? (Because I have not tried using other type galleries i.e Blue Sky)

    I have the exact same problem, step by step in Lightroom 2.4. I'm using Vista Ultimate SP2 and Internet Explorer 8.
    Have anyone found a solution to this problem or is it just the two of us?

  • Photo gallery page from iWeb '08 doesn't work for Mac OS X 10.3.9 user?

    I have recently published a photo gallery page with comments on using iWeb '08 (latest update). Displays fine for me and apparently a lot of other mixed-platform users. But one user is saying that his eMac with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and the Safari of the day don't display the pictures. He gets the banner and background image for the gallery, but not the actual pictures. I asked him to try Firefox, but so far no reply on that.
    Do the older versions of Safari work with content from iWeb '08?

    The very complex javascript files written by iWeb 2 still allow older browsers view (limited features) view the basic parts of your pages.
    Unfortunately this is not true. On an iMac G4 10.3.9 using Safari you cannot even view the photos, the photo page or even the web gallery itself. You just get a warning. Had I known that my friends and family would have a problem viewing photos I would have passed on the update. I don't expect my Father to upgrade his system to view photos from the "user friendly" Apple programs. That's why we got him an iMac to begin with. I find iLife 08 a very poor release from Apple and more trouble than it is worth.
    It was no different when AOL went from version 3 to version 4.
    I didn't know AOL even still existed, that alone upgraded!? (haha)
    +The images should load but many of the Web 2.0 features will not work (image rollover viewing, changing dimensions or background colors).+
    But Kirk, they don't, none of them! and this kind of stuff just seems crazy to some of us. I wish that Apple would TELL US or advertise the facts like, Oh, you only get ONE gallery for each user on Web Gallery (useless) and Oh, you will not be able to edit 06 iWeb pages with 08 iWeb and the iLife 08 version of iPhoto you will not be able to view these galleries without upgrading to the latest Safari web browser. Yes we always expect some bugs with a major update but this is getting ridiculous.
    I have not yet had anybody try downloading the newest version of Firefox that will work with 10.3.9. Do you know if that will make a difference? Thanks for your help.

  • Photo Gallery combined with three column CSS

    Hi, I am trying to implement your photo gallery into our
    school site and I am having trouble with the layout. I am using a
    three-column layout created with CSS and JS, and then placing the
    photo gallery inside of this. What happens is when you pull up the
    page the three column layout does not position everything correctly
    until you resize the browser window (ever so slightly). Help, have
    been staring at CSS and JS code now for about a month and cannot
    get it to behave, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Your Google ads are in an iframe. This rule will get you
    started
    iframe {
    height: 2em !important;
    position: absolute;
    top: 650px;
    You can leave the position static if you like, and it will
    move up and
    down with your images - I found that a bit distracting,
    though. If you
    leave it static, use a top-margin to establish space between
    your image
    and the ads.
    The !important notation is required for the height,
    indicating either a
    conflict somewhere in your markup or CSS, or poor Google code
    (not
    uncommon).

  • Photo gallery will not show first folder

    Hello,
    My Photo Gallery will not show the first folder.  It is 'under' the albums header.  Anyone seen this, or know how to fix this?
    I have the most recent update (4.3.3)

    If you can open the Multitask bar, find the photo app, tap on it until it shakes and hit the little "minus" icon to close the app completely. After that go to your home screen again, open photos, it should work now.
    If multitasking is not supported for your device, a reset, by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again, will do the same.
    This is a known bug, hopefully Apple will take care of that in iOS5 or in a coming update for 4.3.x

  • Links get broken after adding photo gallery

    I discovered a strange problem when creating a website with photo gallery.
    I have a menubar with static links to all pages of the website which worked perfectly. Now after adding a photo grid the links of the my menubar are not clickable at all. This problem exists only if the photo thumbnail row is displayed. Do you have any ideas how to disable the thumbnail row automatically or any other workaround for this bug?

    I have the same problem. Please see http://www.campfieldhouse.co.uk/Campfield_House/Gallery.html The page links 1, 2 and 3 just don't work. This is all coded automatically and there are no options for this. Thanks

  • Web Photo Gallery Descriptions

    I have just started playing with Web Photo Gallery.
    I built one with the Slideshow. I couldn't figure out where the descriptions were supposed to come from, I thought I could enter them in Bridge somewhere, but didn't figure that out.
    So, I opened them up in Dreamweaver and added descriptions to each of the files. Problem is that as the slideshow goes on, only the first description shows up, the rest, the file number changes, but not the description.
    What did I do wrong? What should I do next time?
    Thanks,
    Kirk
    PS, if you are curious, here is the slideshow that isn't working:
    http://www.dirt-dog.com/doghouse/

    You can enter the descriptions using the "File Info" properties for each photo, using Adobe Bridge or Photoshop. I have encountered a similar problem in that my descriptions were not always showing up in the pages generated by the Web Photo Gallery.
    After some investigation, I found that the descriptions were disappearing only for photos that had a Return / Line Break in the description. If you go back and make sure all of your descriptions are a single line, it works fine. This is a bug in the Web Photo Gallery code...you can see it in the Javascript code that it generates for each page.

  • Flash not displaying photos in Flash photo Gallery

    I have several web sites that use a flash photo gallery to display the photos. All worked until a few months ago when the photo were not displayed to users who used Mozilla Firefox, or MAC users using Safari for their browsers. The albums were blank, the thumbnails were blank. Yet if you used Google Chrome or Internet Explorer, all photos displayed perfectly. I have been to the Firefox forums and they point to Flash. I was using Flash 11.5.502.146, then I downgraded to Flash 10.3. To my surprise all photos display now on my Firefox browse V18.0. So there is definitely a problem with the newer Flash displaying photos in a flash gallery. What can be done to fix this?
