After I insert a photo into the fillable form I'm making, all other editing features become locked up. Help!

Whenever I have done this, it is via creating or finishing the form inside of Acrobat and or LiveCycle. Don't know of a way to do so directly in ID...

I want to let Reader users add a photo to a form created in Acrobat 9.

I have a form created in Acrobat 9. I want to allow Acrobat Reader 11 users to add a photo. Can I bring the form into Live Cycle Designer to do so, or will that cause conflicts with the Acrobat form?

In that case you can't do it with an Acrobat form. Moving to an LCD form is not a mere technicality. The two technologies are very different from one another and are not compatible with one another. You should think and test it carefully before making such a move, and make sure to keep backups of your Acrobat forms.

Is it possible to attach photos to a form prior to submission? For example, if I have an employee in the field completing a property inspection, can photos of the property be submitted along with the form?

I have to inspect properties for my business and have created a form that describes the condition of the property. This form is great for my agents in the field, however, it would be really great if they could attach photos of the property to accompany the submission. Is this possible? Can it be considered on the wish list?

Yes, you can create a file attachment field in the form and have your employee upload the pictures.

Photo quality in Forms 10g

Hi all,
I am using Oracle 10g with Dev suite.
I have scanned photos in tiff format and saved in the database as longrow field. when i fetch the photos in forms 5 the quality of the photo is good but when photos are fetched using Dev Suite it get distorted.

Do you know if Mark blog entry for viewing TIFF images within Forms 10g is available in English (or French)?? It is a mission critical issue for the project that I'm on right now.
I did ask Mark on different occasions if his blog entry is available in English, but no replies yet.... there may be a language issue!

Using a tablet to input data and take photos on a form

I examine vehicles which involves taking photos. I want to be able to creat a form where I can fill in text boxes and drop down menus as well as click on a seperate box that allows me to take a photo of the relvant part of the vehicle and import that photo directly into the pdf form. Any ideas on what product would be able to do this?

It can be done if you use Readdle's PDF Expert instead of Adobe Reader. It it probably the best PDF viewer available for iOS, but it is not available for Android. I don't know of a way for this to work on an Android. So your options if you want to use a PDF form with a tablet are PDF Expert on an iOS device or Acrobat/Reader on a Windows device.
The method I'm proposing is the buttonImportIcon method. When triggered, it prompts the user to import a file to be used as the appearance (icon) for a button. In PDF Expert, it allows you to select an image from the camera roll. In Acrobat, you can use any file type that Acrobat knows how to convert to PDF, which includes all common imag formats. In Reader 11 (not available in previous versions) it allows you to select a page from a existing PDF, so any images would have to first be converted to PDF.
The script you can use with a button can be as simple as the following Mouse Up JavaScript:
// Import a button icon
event.target.buttonImportIcon();

The button needs to be set up in Acrobat so it the right size and location, and have a Layout that's something other than "Label Only".

Mettre une photo dans une forme illustrator

J'ai un problème!
J'ai fait une forme sur Illustrator: des anneaux olympiques en gros , avec un peu d'extrusion en 3D pour que ça fasse joli! jusque là pas de pbs
Mon but est de mettre des photos dans les anneaux et d'écrire dessus.. pour cela j'ai mis ma forme sur photoshop mais à partir de là impossible .. je ne sais pas comment faire!
J'ai essayé de tout faire sur photoshop mais la forme rend vraiment pas terrible par rapport à ce que j'ai fait sur Illustrator
Quelqu'un pourrait-il me guider? je ne sais même pas s'il faut que je l'insère en tant que smart object, pixels, path ou shape layer au début..

Bonjour!
Si vous voulez insérer des photos dans les parties intérieures blanches,
vous devez utiliser les masques (d'écrêtage dans Illustrator, de fusion dans Pshop).
Pour cela vous devez dupliquer les formes blanches seulement; ces formes seront utilisées comme masques.
Comme elles «n'existent pas» vectoriellement parlant, il faut que vous sélectionnez le tout puis,
menu Objet » Décomposer l'aspect.
Par la suite, vous pourrez sûrement obtenir les formes indépendantes en utilisant les pathfinders.
Mais c'est un travail assez long, et je ne garantis pas la réussite, surtout si vous n'êtes pas habiles avec les Pathfinders.
Par contre dans Pshop c'est simple (le seul hic c'est que les dégradés sont moins visibles).
Il s'agit de copier-coller votre image illustratror ou de la sauvegarder en .eps et de l'ouvrir dans Pshop en CMJN et non en RVB comme j'ai fait.
Vos photos devront être en CMJN aussi.
Ensuite, vous remplissez de noir 100% toute l'illustration dans Illustrator et vous sélectionnez le tout, puis copiez-collez dans une nouvelles couche de pshop.
Attention, si elle se copie dans un calque, il s'agit de repartir du calque pour copier-coller dans la couche et jeter le calque inutile.
Par la suite vous faites des copies de la couche, pour isoler sur chaque, les parties blanches que vous voulez utiliser comme masques, en remplissant de noir le reste. Puis inverser pour obtenir un élément noir sur fond blanc.
Chacune de ces couches serviront de masque.
J'ai fait un exemple avec le premier masque de votre illustration; je vous indexe deux photos écrans, la première montrant les couches, la deuxième montrant un calque avec masque.
Il se peut qu'il y ait un léger décalage avec les anneaux en couleur mais en agrandissant beaucoup vous pouvez déplacer légèrement l'image et son masque.

I'm using the professional version 8. I have a form I'm filling in the blanks and at the bottom of the page I need to insert a photo. I know how to attach the photo but you have to click the paper clip and then the photo for it to open. Is there a way to have the photo automatically show

Create a new field of the appropirate size, and place the photo in it? Just an idea...

Trying to put a photo in a form

I'm new in this forum. I'm building an aplication and I'm having troubles in order to show a photo of a customer that comes from database.
How I'm new in Java, I'm not knowing whitch code goes where. Please, tell me what I'm doing wrong, because i'm receiving some errors from netbeans. the problem was wrote in Portuguese, but I think will be possible to understand. See, please:

I saw the error . Most of the error are related to java import issue.Import proper package will resolve the issue.
However its better to use JList to show the photo.

Web Photo Gallery - Feedback form not emailing?

I'm using CS2 PShop and have created a web photo gallery using the Centred Frame 2 style and have entered my email address etc correctly. The gallery displays fine and on my mac I can approve and add descriptions, save and email the saved data - it asks for a name and on clicking OK launches Entourage 2004l and pours the data into a new email message body correctly.
The problem is I want someone in Italy to review the gallery and get his feedback. When he approves/adds descriptions/saves and clicks the 'email feedback' button, he IS prompted for a name, but on enetering name and clicking OK, nothing happens and his mail client is not launched. He is on a windows PC using IE 6. What is going wrong? Is this a browser issue.
Help required asap.

Sony Bridge on Mac can not transfer photos and music form Mac Yosemite to device C4 dual

I recently buy Sony C4 dual, the phone is work well. I downloaded Sony Bridge for Mac lastest version (4.1) then connect phone to my Mac running Yosemite (10.10.4), the program recognise the C4 immediately, but can not transfer music and photos from Itune and iphoto to C4. On C4 there is 1 message asks to install the solftware to the computer for mouting the USB disk, but when click to install, the computer warning the this disk can't use in this computer. May I can help me. Thank you

Hi duongtt! Sorry to hear you have a problem with BFM. Can you please send me the error logs so I can forward them to the development crew. Here’s how to get error logs from Sony Bridge for Mac:
1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the ”Xperia” menu. Select "Export logs"
4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
5. PM a shared dropbox link to me. Best regards Fredrik

People are trying to send me pictures through iMessage and they are not going through on my end. It is not just happening from one person. Both people trying to send are using iPhones but one is verizon and one is AT&T. Not sure if one of my settings needs adjustment or what??

Make sure you're connected to the internet of course if you both are using imessage. If you're attepting to send images via text, it requires your data to be on.

Can I create a PDF form with a field for adding/changing Photos?

Does anyone have a solution to the following problem?
I would like to be able to make a PDF form that others in the office can use to fill in a particular inventory and model number. (Fields, Easy)
Then have a field where they can replace the PHOTO of the item referred to by the inventory and model number.
Is this possible using Acrobat professional? Can the document then be saved as, or exported somehow from there?
I know this is probabably easy to do in Word, but can a photo be changed on a PDF and saved as?

It will make it possible for them to select a new photo. Will you ever want to extract the photo from the form to be used elsewhere?
In order to set this up in Acrobat, you can create a button to display the image, set its layout to something other than "Label only", and add the following JavaScript to the Mouse Up action:

For the PC users, Acrobat Standard is sufficient for this.

Adobe acrobat reader 9 problem saving forms and copying photos

I used adobe acrobat reader 6 at
work and I have a form that I save with new data. I am also able to copy text and photos using version 6.
When I try to save edited forms and copy files from versiion 9 It wont allow me to do that.
Is their any way that I can copy text, photos and save forms in Adobe version 9?

Are you talking about Reader or Acrobat. These are two different programs and Reader definitely has restrictions. Reader used to be called Acrobat Reader before version 6, but that has been gone a long time. The change was likely because of the confusion between Acrobat and Reader. The problems you indicate are suggestive of Reader, not of Acrobat.
