Is there any way to add album style (photo grid) to images on a non photo page?

Yes. Add your photos to an iPhoto album and then create an album page in iWeb and drag the iPhoto album to it via the Media browser. This demo page has two examples of that.

Make photo grid objects into links?

I would like to make the photos and captions in the photo grid into links. When I select a photo or a caption in the photo grid, the link inspector is grayed out and I can not click "enable hyperlink". Every thing works fine for images and text not in the photo grid. Is it possible to do this?

That is the way photo page works, photo grid thumbnails can not be hyperlinked because they are rendered by javascript widget. But you can put a full URL in thumbnail caption and it is hyperlink as discussed in this thread:

However, when you click on the thumbnail to go to detail view, the caption is no longer a hyperlink; because caption in detail view is rendered by javascript widget.
That said, what you like to do is very possible but you need to have very good understanding how photo page widgets work and a lot of javascript. Here is one of my example:

Photo orientation in photo grid

All of my photos in the photo grid are horizontal. Is there a way to change some to a vertical orientation?

The files are from a camera with the auto-rotate function, right? Have the photos been imported into iPhoto and you're adding them from the media pane in iWeb?
One fix would be to upload the files to a folder on the desktop and batch rotate those portrait oriented files with PhotoTool CM. Then import into iPhoto.

In iPhoto '11 you can only display two lines below the thumbnails of your photos when you browse an event or an album, the titles and the ratings. The title will be truncated, if it does not fit into the single line. From the iPhoto help:
To show title and rating information below photos:
Click to select Photos in the Source list.
Choose View, and then choose the information you want to view:
Titles
Rating
The information field you chose appears below your photos.
To hide this information, choose View, and then choose the information you want to hide.

Add photo grid to a page?

I am trying to add a photo grid to one of my blog entries and I can't seem to get it to work properly. I have cut and pasted an empty album onto the page and set up the height to allow for everything on the page. The problem I am having is that when the album is opened, the height of the page does not adjust for this and the pictures run off the page, running over my footer. I know on "photos" pages the height will adjust as the album is opened and closed. Is there a way for me to reproduce this effect on non "photos" pages.

it sounds like you added the photo grid inside footer_layer, you need to add the photo grid inside body_layer.
there are four layers in iweb page: nav_layer, header_layer, body_;ayer and footer_layer, you can see them by select:
menu bar --> View --> Show Layout or command + shift + L

Iweb issues - photos are put in a RANDOM ORDER when added to photo grid

My website created with i-WEB contains a lot of photos.
When I add them to a photo grid (on a page using the "Photos" template, by dragging and dropping from Finder) the order of the photos is randomized by i-web.
They are kind of in reverse order (highest file number first) but with a large number of files just randomly arranged in no particular order. The files have simple numerical names like "img_100, img_101, img_102" etc which are in numerical / date order in Finder, but when loaded into i-web are not in any order.
I can't see a feature / option anywhere in I-web to re-arrange images according to name. I can of course manually rearrange them which is fine for a dozen images, but not when I have 500.
I have tried adding a small number of images to see if it's a problem with overloading the software with too many, but the problem happens with 5 images as well as 500.

The photo app puts files in date/time order and ignores their names.
You can look for another app that may honor file names (sorry, I don't know any to recommend) or you can find a program that alters your file properties. If all the files have properties that read the same date and time, then it defaults to alphabetical order

Lastest iWeb on Maverick working fine, but well I upload website, photo grids are not showing!

I have the lasted iWeb and Maverick. I open iWeb and everything is fine, I can see photo grids, add images, change text...etc. I can publish the site to a folder on desktop and upload it using Cyberduck. However, once I check the website, the photo grids are not showing. I tried opening it in different browers, deleting Caches, publishing the whole site, publishing just the change page, nothing seems to be working.
After publishing, I check the folders and the media files and images are there, but they will not upload to website. What's going on?

Then you've not uploaded all of the files to the server. With Cyberduck you should get a Finder link window of your account folder on the server. There you can manually upload the site folder to your account and have it replace the existing site folder. Watch the upload carefully to see if there are any messages about files not uploaded, etc.
What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand?

Adjust Image in photo grid or album?

How do I do this? I need to make image adjustments to photos I have in a photo page. I click on the image in the grid, but the Adjust Image window goes grey and I can't make any adjustments. What gives?

Those adjustments would have to be made prior to importing them.
Photo's in regular pages can be adjusted.
From the help menu:
NOTE: You can’t use the Adjust Image window to modify photos in a photo grid (on a Photos or My Albums template).

Adding Pay Pal buttons to Photo Grid

I followed the instructions found elsewhere on these forums for using HTML snippets to do the Pay Pal buttons, and they worked great - except the button stays with the base page, and not with the individual photo it needs to be with. So the button for image #1 is the same button for the first image on each succeeding page... which obviously is NOT going to work! I cannot get the snippet to drop into the text box below the individual photo.

Photo grid alignment - cannot align or center vertically

I'm adding photos into a photo grid and cannot center them vertically within the blue box of the grid. I'm using 1 column so that each photo appears as large as possible. I've cropped and edited the photos in iPhoto, so some are horizontally shaped while most are portrait shaped. They automatically want to position themselves in the blue photo box, not allowing me to center them vertically so that their spacing on the photo page appears more even. Adjusting spacing on the photo grid pop-up does not help this problem.
Is there a way to center vertically a photo within a single column photo grid?

Thank you, but the problem has not been solved. When I click on the narrow line blue box and go to Arrange-Align Objects-Center, only the first photo in the group moves position. All other photos, relative to each other, have uneven spacing, especially vertically. Either there is lots of space between them, or they are jammed together - all depends on their shape. When I try to Command Click each photo to then Arrange-Distribute Objects-Vertically, these menu options are not available (gray). It works on text blocks, and individually placed photos in other areas, but not on photos brought into a photo grid. Unless each photo is exactly the same shape and size, spacing and aligning in the grid is very uneven. Any more ideas?

Photo Grid Won't Publich to Website

Just upgraded to a new iMac & am using iWeb '08 version 2.0.3.
I had a website using an older version, but am in the process of revamping it.
Here is the question:
When I upload the files using cyberduck, the Photo Grid does not appear on the page I have created for it. All other content does, such as links to my other pages. I looked at the files & it seems iWeb is failing to write the code when I Publish to a Folder. Any one else experiencing this problem.
Also:
Does anyone now how to delete the icons that say "Play Slideshow" & "subscribe"---if nothing else, is it possible to edit their style.

After I click to close the Photo Grid it will appear again as soon as I click on the web page I'm working on ... every time...
Every time it appears back dead center of the page I'm trying to work on.
I can move it to the side but can't get rid of it.
Then if I click on the page but not a picture it dissappears.
Only to reappear as soon as I click on a photo again to move it or something.
Am I the only one experiencing this work flow problem?

I web: create hyperlink in a photo grid

I want to attach a hyperlink to text below a photo, but when I highlight the text, I'm not given that option, and the photo grid box comes up where I have the option to format the photo grid.

I'm in the same boat as you, inasmuchas I taught myself LC. I've tried to replicate your issue. I'm trying to understand where the issue actually lies.
First, I created a new document to test. I dragged the text field onto the document and stretched it to accomodate what I was going to type and entered: http://www.google.com/something
This works as intended.
Next I tried a link similar to yours in our own intranet: http://intranet/WebPages/support.aspx
That also worked.
Now, for what you're actually working with: a SharePoint document.
I tried to paste a link to a document that I created on our Sharepoint site. The link failed! I noticed that the end of the link was truncated (something like 7 characters). So, I tried a shorter link. That worked!
What else is happening when they click the link? Are they simply being asked to "check out" the document? Are you getting an error message like "an error has occured while opening the page"?
