Photo I set as desktop comes out too zoomed in

Hello,
When I try to set a a photo as my desk top image it comes out very zoomed in...quite beyond merely fitting to screen.
Is it something to do with my wide screen? It even does this with 16:9 photos.
Thanks for any help in advance.

  • How come when I try to look at my photos in Iphoto a triangle comes out with an exclamation mark and I cannot see my photo?

How come when I try to look at my photos in iphoto a triangle comes out with an exclamation mark? Does this mean that I have lost all of my photos? Is there any way to fix this?
    Thanks to all...

It means that iPhoto has broken the link/file path to the original file.
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

AFAIK cameras offer their own built-in format utility for inserted SD cards.  You should use that.  Otherwise, refer to the manual that came with your camera to determine precisely how your SD cards need to be formatted to work properly.  Personally, I'd suggest Partition Scheme: MBR, and Filesystem: FAT32.
Try to limit the number of formats you perform on the SD cards, though, as you're reducing their lifespan.  I believe formatting causes re-writes to a portion of the SD card that has fewer read/write cycles than the rest of the card as a whole.

    Gmabert-
The front camera displays a reversed image on the screen, as if you were looking into a mirror.  When you take a picture, it comes out normal, which is backwards to what you would have observed on the screen.

  • Photos burned on a disk come out printed blurry

HI I need help, i dont use my printer to print photos i send a disc to a local Kodaks, the thing is is that i choose the photos then i click BURN, once thats finished and i go to print them they come out blurry ,( Not to mention the faces that increase my pictures 3 times ) not as clear this is driving me crazy , now when i read on I photo help it said i should export to a file outside of i photo before i burn, is this necessary? If so why is the burn option on my I photo toolbar if it were not to be used? PLease help since I love to have my photos printed professionally and its getting frustrating. Thank you very much, waiting for your reply.

Do not use the iPhoto burn command - that makes a mini iPhoto library suitable only for use by iPhoto - select the photos you want to print and export them (file menu ==> export) to a desktop folder and burn that folder to a disk - then delete the desktop folder
now when i read on I photo help it said i should export to a file outside of i photo before i burn, is this necessary?
Humm - you already had the answer - of course doing it the right way is necessary.
? PLease help since I love to have my photos printed professionally and its getting frustrating.
Step one in avoiding frustration - follow instructions -- +"when i read on I photo help it said i should export to a file outside of i photo before i burn"+

  • Sometimes I take a photo on 4S and it comes out white with no picture.

Sometimes I take a photo from my 4S and even with removing the cover, the photo still appears blank - a white screen.
Anyone can advise why this is happening?

    Hello rebeccay1,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
It's hard to say exactly what is causing the issue without doing any troubleshooting.  The article below has great troubleshooting steps to go through in order to resolve this issue.
    Camera
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
    Take care,
    Alex H.

  • HP CS5550 yellow ink comes out too green

I replaced my color cartridge 75XL (I use 74XL for black) recently and noticed from the test print, the yellow has a greenish tint to it. I usually print watercolor artwork on slightly textured paper and now cannot capture the same colors as in my Photoshop screen.  I also recently tried a photo print (green trees) on lustre photo paper and it came out great. Not sure if the change in paper/subject photo has an effect.  Printheads were cleaned too.

    Hi @hphana
Although the following document is titled Faded or Dull Colors in Printouts, the solutions offered will likely help. If the issue persists, I suggest calling us. Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. We will, at our option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
We could even determine after troubleshooting that it is a problem with the printer, in which case they may offer you a discount on a newer model.
The number to call is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.
    I hope this helps.

I just upgraded my iPhone 3GS to 4.3.5 and my universal doc stopped working with it?  It has worked flawlessly for the last year and suddenly I get the message: "this iphone is not optimized for this device."  I dismiss the message, but the remote no longer works with it and the music is too quite to the speakers.  The remote works fine with my Macbook Pro.  I tried a restore on the iPhone and started from scrach, but the same problem exists.
    Any help with this?
    Thanks,

  • I can't print my aol emails satisfactorily in firefox - they come out too small and incomplete

I use aol for emails, and I used to use aol as my browser. I now access my emails via firefox. for some reason, when I print my emails now, they are printed in tiny print and are incomplete. how do i change the settings?

I had trouble printing my AOL email, too. This is what a tech support guy from another company (I had to pay for this!) told me to do. See if it works for you! 1. Close Firefox
    2. Click start > run > > type firefox -safe-mode
IMPORTANT: There is a space between firefox and -safe-mode. Type properly or else it will not work.
    3. Click OK
    4. In the prompt, choose to reset everything except bookmarks.
    5. Click make changes and restart.
After I did this, I could print my emails again. I only had to do this once and could start Firefox the normal way afterwards.

  • Purple comes out too blue

This may be a limitation of digital cameras, but here goes...
Canon EOS400D, Lightroom 1.4 shooting raw
Took a couple of shots of a deep purple petunia, in bright sunlight, after some rain. In Lightroom, I just cannot make the flower look as deep and dark a purple as it is in real life (I can see it from where I'm sitting, so I can compare both in real time). I am competent in Photoshop, and I know I can correct it there, but surely, there must be some way of getting closer to reality. I know there is always going to be some difference - a digital sensor is not the human eye - but I am reasonably experienced in Lightroom and purple seems to be the only color I can't get right.
    Anybody have similar issues? Recommendations?
    Thanks

Did you blow the blues out in the raw image?

I had the same problem, but the zoom was already off. So I went under "options" and unchecked "use scroll wheel with modifier keys to zoom," and that took care of it.
Thought that might help some others who find this thread.

  • How do i print out my picture after scanning it. it comes out way to small

after scanning my picture i print it out and it comes out way to small

    VisionAiry wrote:
If you print the scans and they come out too small, it may be that you have a setting off when you scan it in.  To resolve this problem completely, you could simply make a copy instead.  But in order to assist you with this, I will need to know a lot more information.
    1.  What kind of printer do you have (Officejet 8600, Photosmart C6380, etc)?
    2.  What kind of computer do you have (Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OS 10.8, etc)?
    3.  What software/program are you using to scan (HP Scan, HP Solution Center, Paint, etc)?
    4.  What program are you using to print the scans (Windows Picture Viewer, Photoshop, etc)?
    5.  What is the file type of the scan (.pdf or .tiff)?
Make sure your scan size is equivelant to the page you are scanning, resolution is set to at least 600 dpi, the item type is set appropriately such as to document since photo will make the image smaller, and go to advanced settings to check file size is not set to "Smallest."
I hope that helps.   If not, I will need to you to answer the questions above please or I will not be able to help you.  However, I have provided all the necessary information above regarding an HP printer on a Windows PC using the HP Scan.
Let me know if I can be of any more assistance. I'm happy to help!
I have the same problem. I have a HP Photosmart 7525 printer and work with Windows 7. I just want to copy a photo and it keeps coming out much smaller. I just put the photo on the scanner plate in the corner, choose the copy icon, and out comes a small picture in the corner of my photo paper,.There must be a setting somewhere but I can't find it. Can anyone help me?

  • Why do my pics come out blue and hazy when i use my flash on my phone

Is there something i can do to keep my  pics come out blue and hazy when i have my flash on?

It could be the case you are using.  If your iPhone is in a case, take it out of the case and try taking a flash photo again.  If it comes out ok, you may want to get another case.  Look for a case with a larger camera hole.  If you are using a transparent case make sure it is painted black around the camera hole.
