Photo - Ipod Touch

Hello, I own an iPod Touch, I transfer the photos over to my computer in the folder on my computer the pictures are sorted the way I want, but once the transfer is complete, photos are categorized differently in the Ipod .. .! He decided to classify it. Who knows how I can make my photos be classified as in my computer? Thank you.

I'm using Picassa as opposed to Photoshop but maybe the following suggestion will be helpful to you. Picassa doesn't have any sort of built in support for iPod photo albums and I don't want all of my photos synced to the iPod. I do the following:
- Use the Picassa 'export' option to create copies of photos on another part of the hard drive. I have a folder called 2iPod which is the parent folder containing all of the exports.
- Export to folders that represent the way I'd like to have albums organized on the iPod. (e.g., folders w/ names of Summer 2007, Halloween, etc.)
- Configure iTunes to auto sync at the parent folder (2iPod) and include all subfolders.
- Upon syncing, I'll have albums on my iPod that correspond to the folders.

  • IPod Touch 2G No Longer Sees Photoshop Elements (PSE) Album Photos

    Hello Forum,
All was working fine. I would create an album in PSE 7 on Win XP, my iPod Touch would see the album and all the photos in that album, successful sync, and copies of the photos would be stored on my iPod Touch.
Then for data security and redundancy, I relocated my My Documents folder to a network RAID disk array. My Music and My Photos folders therefore also got relocated. After fixing some paths iTunes works fine, and PSE 7 also works fine. PSE 7 albums are completely intact and accessible from the network share.
BUT, when I go to sync my iPod Touch with PSE7, the iPod sees all the PSE album names in iTunes, but says that each album has exactly 0 photos. So now my iPod has no photos. Please help me fix this problem.
One other thing, if I point my iPod at a specific photo folder on the network share, and tell it to sync to this folder, the photos in the folder move to the iPod with no problems. But I don't want to have to create photo copies in new folders just to sync with the iPod; the PSE Album concept is perfect, if it would only work now!
    Thanks, Ken

I've had exactly the same issue with my iPhone 3GS and iTunes 10.4.  I reported it to Apple and was told it was likely an error that crept into 10.4 and to expect a fix in an upcoming release of iTunes.  I'm waiting for that to happen still...

  • IPod touch 2nd Gen 8gb will no longer Sync photos.

all the posts I could find that were similar had to do with ipods that were jailbroken and on Windows.
I have iTunes 10.1, iPhoto 6.0.6. running on OSX 10.6.5
    iPod Touch 2nd Gen 8GB OS 4.2.1
The Problem: Since I got 4.0 and later, I have not been able to sync photos from iphoto. itunes says that it is, the bar moves and says all photos have been synced, all the photos I want synced are checked in itunes and still nothing when I check them on my ipod. iPod says no photos in album. I tried deleting the ipod cache on my mac, nothing. I tried syncing to a single file folder with the same photos, same. I tried exporting all the photos I wanted synced to a separate folder to jpg and smaller resolution, same result, no photos on ipod.
Note. the photos used to sync up until 4.0
I have also tried starting from scratch and putting it back to factory defaults then going from backup. Same result.
I have tried rebooting both iMac and iPod, same thing.
and I hate how I can't just email apple and tell them the problem.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I just can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem.
Thanks in advance for the possible help.

I dont get an error message at all. itunes just does its normal business when syncing and says its synced, but no photos. I have never tried mobile me, so I dont think my problem is connected. I dont have $300 to get a new ipod. this makes me sad.

  • Delete photos from iPod Touch 4G

I can no longer sync my iPod Touch 4G (iOS 6) with iTunes (insufficient space).  When I bought my MacBook Pro last year, they set it up to sync my photos (I literally have over 12,000 photos) which all got transferred to my iPod.  I want to delete them but can't seem to find any delete options or how to stop iPhoto from automatically transferring all of my photos after uploading.  I now have iTunes 11 and it doesn't even show photos in the sidebar anymore so I can't seem to delete them that way. Anyone know how I can remove these photos from my iPod and/or stop iPhoto from always syncing them to the iPod??

To delete photos and videos from your device
To delete synced photos and videos
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.
There are also thrid-party programs that should work. PhoneView and TouchCopy are two. They are paid programs.

  • Delete photos from iPod Touch

Need some help with this PLEASE!?
I added some photos on my ipod touch by iTunes, & now I want to delete them but I don't know how. I tried to delete them on my ipod but I couldn't because they are in a new album & they also exist in another album on my ipod. The album names are: Photos & 2011, & when I tried to delete them on my ipod I couldn't there were no delete button.......What do I do???
    Because I need MAJOR help!

On the iPod you can only delete photos taken by or saved to the iPod.  Those are the photos in the Camera Roll.  For photos synced to the iPod you have to unsync them.
    RedHamstar wrote:
Are you sure there was no delete button. Is there a section under the photos when the album is open which looks like a box and an arrow coming out? If so click on it and then it is possible to delete the photos. Subsequently just go on itunes and when the ipod is connected go into photos, and simply choose the folders.

  • How to delete photos from ipod touch

My hard drive crashed and had a new hard drive installed. Used Time Machine and restored my data. When I connected my iPod iPhoto improrted all my photos. Now I have over 10,000 pictures on my iPod. How do I delete these off my iPod and keep the ones I want to remain on my iPod???

Delete the images you want to delete on the folder you used to sync. Then sync your iPod and the pictures you deleted would be deleted on your iPod touch.
The delete button only appears to photo you got off the net , Bluetooth photo transfer and screenshot. Any photo you sync using iTunes will not have the delete button. Hope this week

  • Cannot delete photos from iPod touch

I cannot delete photos from my ipod touch. There is no delete button.  help

Why did Apple program it to function this way?! I synced photos from my computer to my iPod. I threw away my old computer when I bought a Macbook Pro. I want to delete my previously synced photos from my old computer. How can I unsynced the photos now? Can I ask Apple to allow synced photos to be deleted? Can I also ask Apple to allow me to add more photos on my iPod to the album of synced photos?

  • I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1 and my Photos, Videos, contacts, music, App data, etc. was deleted. How can I all the data back?

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

  • Photos Won't Start on iPod Touch [2.0 Firmware]

I've got a strange issue with my iPod Touch (running 2.0 firmware). It appears that my 'Photos' preinstalled application won't start anymore. Since upgrading to 2.0, I hadn't sync'd any photos to my device and when I launched the app, it would just tell me that I had no photos as expected.
Recently I was reading an email and 5 photos were attached and I wanted to save them to the iPod, so I clicked Save All. After I clicked the button there was a delay (~1min) and I crashed back to the springboard. I say crashed because I didn't receive an error or confirmation message that the pics had been saved.
I then attempted to launch Photos and now whenever I do so, a blank list appears and then I crash back to springboard. Not really sure what's going on here and I'm thinking I may have to restore my device.
Anyone else run into similar behavior?

Hmmm.. that's an interesting problem you have. While I originally thought that we might have the same problem, I think we're just showing the same symptoms. I went ahead and pulled the trigger by using the Restore function. Sure enough.. soon as Restoration was complete, I tapped the Photos button and as expected, the "No Gallery" or "No Photos" picture (I forget what exactly it states) was viewable.
I lost all my data, but everything is still on my local machine so this was a viable option for me.
I'm not sure if this will help you, but when I used the Restore function, I didn't opt to Make a Backup.. I just sync'd all my content manually after restoration. Maybe try that..

  • If i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it as the option 'set up as new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos and ect?

if i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it to the option 'set up as a new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and log into my apple ID so i can just restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos, contacts, ect. and then later i can add contacts that i need/want instead of them restoring them from icloud?
The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...
and i hope you understand my problem..
i would REALLY REALLY appreciate it if someone could tell me a solution to my problem!!! thank you so much!
    -sierra

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Hope this helps. Good luck. Cheers.

  • When i take photos or videos on my ipod touch with the camera, then i plug it into the computer to sync, the computer shuts down and this blue screen comes up saying "an error has occured" and a heap of other stuff.

When i take a photo or a video using the camera on my ipod touch, the computer (windows xp) shuts down and a blue screen comes up saying "an error has occured" and a heap of oth stuff in white. It doesn't wipe the memory or anything off the ipod. Whenever i sync my ipod without photos or videos it works fine. It also doesn't mind me taking photos off itunes to put on the ipod. I have had a look around and a couple of people say reinstall itunes, but i don't know if i will lose all my songs and apps. Any suggestions of help?

Removing all Apple related software and reinstalling iTunes should bring all needed drivers back: Removing iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Also check for new driver updates for Windows, especially if you have a webcam installed.
iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and are not deleted by removing iTunes. While it is highly unlikely that you will lose any contents of your iTunes Library when following these steps, it is always a good idea to ensure that your iTunes library is backed up. If you're unsure how to backup, see iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive.

  • How do I recover photos that were NOT backed up from ipod touch 4th generation?

I have a iPod Touch (4TH Genration). It was frozen for two days straight on the apple logo. I kept holding the two keys and tried to connect it to itunes and it wouldn't budge. On the third day I conected it to itunes, and it told me that it nedded to be restored and that my photos would be backed up. Now here I am with a funny acting ipod and NO photos!
Does anyone know how to get photos that were not backed up?

  • Can you transfer pictures from an old ipod touch to a new ipod touch without having the old ipod touch or the photos in Iphoto?

I somewhat recently got a new ipod touch after my screen cracked and the people at an Apple store said it would be cheaper to buy a new device completely.  I followed everything they said about backing up my old device and when I went to pick up the new one, the store took the old one away.
Up until just a few days ago I did not realize Iphoto could hold pictures from your ipods.  Mine never did it automatically, nor did anything ever seem to have the option to do.  It just so happened that two days ago I was browsing the web when I noticed a website gave instructions on how to transfer photos.  So I tried it and it worked for my new ipod while all the new photos.
But I was wondering if I could somehow get the old photos back from Itunes or my computer somewhere and transfer them into Iphoto or my new device.  I was hoping that maybe if I could "back up" my old stuff onto my new ipod for a few moments it would show I have the old photos and I could transfer them into Iphoto and then restore the ipod touch back to what I have it currently.
If it helps, I'm pretty sure the old ipod touch I had was a 3gen as my new one I noticed was skinnier.  As I said, I do not have the old touch anymore but I have the data in Devices on my Itunes if that makes a difference.  Both my data for my old one and new one are in the Devices section of Itunes.
    Thanks,
    Dragonhatchling

Restore the new iPod from the backup of the old iPod:
How to restore from a backup
To restore information from a backup, use one of the following methods after connecting your iOS device to the computer with which you normally sync:
Right-click (or Control-click) the device and choose Restore from Backup
If you have a new phone, you can connect to iTunes and it will prompt to restore from your backup
