Photo labs Embedded Profile--How to use ?

i have the colors of the image the way i want them on my monitor
i assign the print labs profile - the colors shift to somthing i don,t like
my question Is this the file i should take to the lab or do i then have to work
on my colors again trying to return them to what they were before i assigned the
profile ?

Lambda's (and Lightjets) are notoriously lacking in the ability to print certain colors, so, if it's in the range of colors where the Lambda is deficient, you might very well see a big color or tonal shift even when you convert to their profile.
How the profile was made can be critical to how well it performs in the real world. The software package and the specific settings, as well as how the target was read, can all make a big difference, not even to mention rendering intents.
Assign profile can be useful in determining just how close an output device is to your RGB working space and how much work the profile is going to have to do when it does convert the pixel values, but it's generally best left to those who understand when and how to use it.
If your working space happend to be something really wide like ProPhotoRGB, and you have large areas of saturated colors, then I wouldn't be at all surprised to see you running into problems with a Lambda.

Embedded Fonts, how to use in all controls?

When I embed either external fonts or system fonts they work
great for say the label control but not for others such as the
progressBar, on top of this any control that wont use an embedded
font cant be used in conjunction with an alpha related effect as
the font will be 100% alpha the entire time. Whats the deal with

I must ask again..because I dont think I understand completly how to get speedfan to work in my other profil...( User).
I installed speed fan as admin and configured it proper according to this forum.....
It seems to work just fine.......
Before I logout and switch user I make sure that speedfan is not running and that there is nothing in its autostart.
I then logout and switch to the other profil.......there I put an speedfan-ikon on its desk....
When I try to launch speedfan in this profil I get a warning:
UNABLE TO SAVE TO C:\program\speedfan\speedfanparams.cfg
It seems that I only can run speedfan as admin......
Am sorry to bother u guys again...but u seem to be wise in this matter.....
I want to be able to run the computer in this other profil, not in admin.
In this other profil I would like to have speedfan running and showing me the temps of the computer.....
As I understand its the most secure way to run computers......

Embedded Files, how to use URLs

We have some preliminary code which can embed files within PDF documents. We were trying to extend it by having the FS entry of the Filespec dictionary be /URL and the F entry an RFC 1738 URL. While it displays correctly in Acrobat, attempting to open it gives an error 14.
Are URL Filespecs prohibited in embedded files?

Offhand, I can't think of any explicit restriction in the language that prohibits it - but in restrospect, it really doesn't make sense that you can have a non-embedded file in the embeddedfiles name tree ;).
I'll make a note to get that fixed in the next version of the spec...

Can you use a photo lab's colour profile in Elements?

Using PSE 6, I want to use a printer profile from a digital photo processing lab, so as to get accurately printed images. (Additonally my monitor is calibrated by a Heuy Pro)
The profile is 'FUJI 570 Supreme Lustre' which I have downloaded from the lab and installed on my Windows Vista PC. Following PSE Help instructions, if I go to the print option then from the drop down Printer Profile list, I can see, choose and select the Fuji 570 profile.
The problem is that this process only seems aimed at then allowing me to click on cancel or print (there is no save option etc). PSE seems to assume that I am connected to the Fuji printer and want to print the image myself, which, of course, I don't but rather want to save this image with the correct profile for the lab's printer and paper-type, so as to send the file(s) for my colour managed image(s) to be printed.
Is there any way that you can save a PSE image file with a colour profile like this in it?
If yes, how is this done?
The lab provides instructions as to how to do this with Photoshop but they are unfamiliar with PSE. In the lab's instructions it refers to View/Proof Set up/custom and unchecking Preserve Colour Numbers, Paper White and Ink Black. Is any of this possible/necessary with PSE 6 (or any later version?)
I have tried to resolve this myself but come to a dead end. If anyone can advise me how to achieve what I want to do, that would be really great or if it can't be done using PSE, to know that would be a great help.
(I have used this lab before without the profiles and whilst the results were good in several respects, some colours, not surprisingly, were not very accuate with my calibrated monitor)

I don't think the Edit>>Colour Settings is going to work as this means that the monitor set up becomes the profile. In my case the Huey profile (which is confirmed as it shows in the print set up preference/settings boxes). Although the Huey profile is important for accurate editing, it will not fulfil the lab'sFuji printer/papers settings.
It looks like PSE does not have any way to save to file with the printer profile (unlike Photoshop). This is a real shame.
It's an interesting issue, as I can't believe that I am the only user ever wanting to use a lab's profile to get better colour management and to use a photographic lab rather than an attached printer.

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

Connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page (though it looks like Apple are doing some maintenance at the moment so the link isn't working). You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad).

Are you using the "motion path" behavior? If so just duplicate it and drag it down the timeline to where you want it to start. Trim it to end at the end of the project. The gap you leave in the timeline between the two behaviors is your hold time. Not sure why you are using a camera unless you have a behavior on the camera.If you are using keyframes just set two keyframes at the same position values in the inspector for the hold time.

Deskjet 6988dt, how to use photo/envelope slot for printing 4x6 photo paper?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. Printer has the extra250 sheet paper tray. Upper and lower tray work fine. I can of course load photo paper in upper tray and print photos from there, but I was trying to load just one sheet of photo paper in the little slot since I don't want to have photo paper loaded all the time. Since I have to use the generic Windows driver for this printer as HP doesn't have a driver update for this printer and Windows 7, the only selections I'm seeing in printer properties is "automatic, upper, lower". I've tried all three of those settings and none take the paper from the little slot where I'm manually feeding the 4x6 photo paper. What am I doing wrong? Could it be that this feature just isn't enabled with the generic Windows driver?
The reference/instruction documentation that came with this printer is very sparse. I can't find any instruction on how to use the photo/evelope slot. In fact I'd say overall the documentation is very poor.
I just checked the HP site, still no Windows 7 64-bit driver available.

Follow these steps to use the photo/envelope feeder to print a single photo:
1. Insert the photo paper into the photo/envelope feeder with the side to be printed on
facing down.
2. Gently push the photo paper into the photo/envelope feeder as far as it will
comfortably go.
3. Slide the photo/envelope feeder forward as far as it will go.
4. Print the photo.
Problem was, although I was inserting the 4x6 photo paper into the feeder, I wasn't pushing the little plastic slide forward.

Hi George,
There are are two types of statuses.One is system status and second one is user status.These statuses will tell us current situation of an order.
We can't change system statuses.But we can create our own statuses through status profile.With this profile we can control user statuses.
In this status profile,
1.We define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated,
2.We define initial statuses
3. Allow or prohibit certain business transactions.
Selection profiles are used to select the objects (say production orders) with different status combinations.We assign status profiles to selection profiles in BS42 T-Code.

I thought you said you knew how to use/create profiles in your previous post...
This is the quick rundown: Just as with regular profiles, you first need to make sure that your content has the profile trigger metadata field assigned when it's created. This is done within designer under "Switch region content" definition of your contribution region. Assign the "Profile Trigger Value" under "Default Metadata" and then assign that idoc to the activation condition of your content profile rule.

How to use "subscribe to photo feed" in iPhoto?

Apple really created some headaches when they dumped Gallery before Photo Stream Sharing was ready. So I have been looking for a substitute.
I see under iPhoto's File menu a feature called "Subscribe to Photo Feed". But I can't find anything about how to use it, or how to manage subscriptions.
The best I can do is to find this is used to access RSS feeds. If so, is there anyway to automatically share photos added to iPhoto to an RSS feed? Or even manually to something like Twitter?

Thanks Terence. But I am aware. What I'm looking for is a whole solution. In other words, I need to not only be able to subscribe from within iPhoto, but also share to the rest of my friends and family with Macs from iPhoto.
I'm actually stunned that there is not more information online about how Photo Feeds work. I don't even really know what to expect to see in iPhoto.
Nevertheless, using Mountain Lion, and iOS 5 I'm looking at sharing photos with Twitter (used explicitly for photos), then having my friends and family subscribe to the Twitter RSS feed in their iPhoto app. However, it appears there's no way to get the Twitter RSS URL. So that seems to leave that option dead in the water. I suppose my friends and family could just follow my Twitter feed, assuming they can easily access it online. It would be much better to have a solution where the photos are automatically downloaded and they can look at them at their leisure.
I don't think Photo Feed subscriptions are available in iOS devices, including the Apple TV. So that limits them to the Mac.
Maybe I should just wait for iOS 6 and Photo Stream Sharing in what, September, October?
