Photo Music and Video not working in Smart Center/Touchsmart Mode after Win7 Ultimate Install
Hi, I recently did a clean install (had Win7 Premium64 - now have Win7 Ultimate64). I reinstalled everything using my newly purchased Win7DVD and updated all of the touchsmart software and apps. Everything works fine except for
Photo - It loads, but no photos/folder are showing up...just blank. Tried resetting the touchsmart config, no go.
Video - Crashes the Touchsmart Application
Music - flashes for a split second and closes.
I tried installing multiple versions, the updates, older versions and even called tech support. They want me to recover, upgrade the app (eventhough I was already running version 4) then upgrade using a code. Not an option any more.
Anyone experience this problem? Please help, those are the main reasons I bought this bad boy.
HP Assistand and Update aren't ugrading anything on thouchsmart.
Also, if anyone knows where the Touchsmart YouTube App is (the one that makes it easy to upload and edit) please advise.

Hi all,
Having a problem with my iPod Touch, and hoping you can help. Was playing around with it last night trying to get my Stanza app to work, mangaged to get what I wanted on it. However, when I came to play music on the way to work, it wouldn't work. When I clicked on it, it sort of froze for a about 30 secs, then went back to the home screen.
Anyhoo, got home and tried a system reset, but it's still happening. Also discovered that the videos aren't working either.
Any ideas? Or do I have to take a trip to the Apple Store?

Help using ipod for photos, music, and video
Guys, I received an IPOD classic 80gig months ago with a college class that I took. I thought it was really neat at the time as I could watch the videos. However, now I'm so glad that it came free with the class and honestly can't understand how anyone can figure out how to operate it. I have photos, music, and videos that I would love to download to the IPOD and watch but after months of reading and rereading the IPOD features guide, I still have no clue how to do it? I'm a college graduate, made the Dean's list. Smart guy, doesn't seem to help me. The features guide will tell you to go to this folder, etc, BUT when I plug my IPOD in there are only like 4 folders that exist! Where are those folders that they are talking about?? I downloaded some photos on my computer into a folder, dragged and dropped them onto my ipod and when I turn the ipod on it says NO PHOTOS!! Same thing happened with my videos and my music? I have a relative in a nursing home who wants me to show her some family photos. I wanted to IPOD those photos and bring them to her. Can't figure it out! Audiobooks??? No way I'll ever figure out how to do that! Are you guys ALL BRAIN SCIENTISTS OR WHAT???

I was disappointed to see my notes "cut off" as I guess it has a 4000 character limit, I believe it is. Maybe I'll do a search for itunes software on google and try to figure it out. I don't know if the itunes software is free. You know, not for nothing Neil, but I'm suprised an IPOD classic costs over $250.00 and all they give you is a quick start guide. You have to go to the internet to find a copy of the features guide. That's like buying a new car and not getting an owners manual with it. Odd. Thanks again for trying to help me out.

How do I get more space to update my iPhone 4 to iOS7? I am currently on iOS 6.1.3 with 6.3 GB capacity, 1.4 GB available AFTER deleting all apps, photos, music, and videos, and I need 3.8 GB.
Update using iTunes on your computer. The space requirement does not apply because of how the process works via iTunes as opposed to over the air.

I am having a problem syncing my music to my iphone 4s.
Everything else will sync (photos, contract etc) except for the music & video. -
Since updating my iPad 1st gen to iOS5.0.1 videos don't get loaded properly into the Videos app.
On the Summary page in iTunes of my docked iPad, I have always checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos".
I have my reasons for doing it this way, but that's for another thread perhaps.
The problem is that when I load a video to my iPad this way - by simply just dragging it from the desktop and onto the iPad, under Devices in iTunes - it copies/updates, and shows up on the iPad like it always has before iOS5. But now, with iOS5, when I undock, it can't be found anywhere within the Videos app on the iPad. The only way I can find it is to do a Search, which seems to find it, but when I click it, a different video plays - the first video in the Movies list in the Video app. Dock the iPad again, yes the video is there, according to iTunes, but no way to play it once iPad is undocked.
My suspicion is that with iOS5 you are no longer able to use the "Manually manage music and videos (Mmm&v)" that you will be forced to run everything through iTunes - and probably iCloud. I've unchecked the Mmm&v box, and get prompted with "Are you sure? - All existing content on the iPad will be replaced with content from your iTunes library". READ - "Rebuild your entire video and music collection, and this time run it all through iTunes. Welcome to iOS5. Have a nice day or two wasting your time rebuilding your entire video and music collection. Don't fight it. Use iTunes for everything! Until we finally make iTunes a decent piece of digital media management software, then you'll have to do it all again."
Okay, rant over - Anyone out there with running iOS5 on a 1st gen iPad with the Mmm&v option checked and able to load a video manually (not through iTunes)? Any other thoughts?
ThanksYea, i managed to fix my issue in a wild fashion way But I DONT suggest it to anyone.
I like to hear why it happened after upgrading iTunes and if there is any peaceful solution.
Bythe way, here is how i fixed it :
1-i checked "manually manage music and videos" checkbox and clicked on "Sync" button
2-It showed a threating message that it will erase my music and videos ,......
3-I clicked on OK button and let iTunes do any thing she said , but the second it started to delete my treasures from my iphone, i disconnected my phone by pulling USB cable.
Now i have my musics and videos untouched and got that Option enabled again and i can manage my Music/Videos and Books manually. -
IOS5 update has deleted my all Photos, Music and Video.

Please help me. I have updated my iPod 4g with iOS5, while updating it asked me to sync/backup which i have taken already.
Once iOS5 got installed on iPod all the Photos, Audio and Video got deleted. Is there any way to get that lost data back to my iPod.Sounds like you didn't have those sync options turned on in iTunes (on mac) when you updated.
If you have backed up prior to the update you should be able to restore your data. (restore from backup).
On iTunes go to preferences then devices to see a list of your recent backups before you begin.

Purchased music and videos not playing on ipod!!!!
I had an ipod and bought a video ipod recently. I forgot to put in the disc that came with the new ipod, and now all the songs and videos I bought from Itunes Music store wont play in my ipod. By wont play I mean I try to play it and it goes to a black screen, sometimes for 30 seconds. I have tried restoring my ipod but it did not work. Please help
Did you update the firmware on the iPod? Supposibly if fixes a few bugs.

If you didn't then try that. Believe me your problem is not with not using that CD as I never even popped the disk in my CD drive untill after I had updated my iPod as the software was outdated before it arrived at my house. -
Sync only checked song and videos - not working
On my iTouch, the only way I can get music on it is manually or through a playlist. The "Sync only checked song and videos" will not work. Am I doing something wrong?
Under the 'Music' tab (when you connect the iPT, and under the 'Devices'), make sure that 'Sync all Music' is selected, not the 'Sync playlists' option.

IChat Audio and Video not working correctly...

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard. Before upgrading, I was able to video chat with little to no problem with family over iChat. I just tried it again today for the first time since upgrading to Snow Leopard and the audio is barely working (can only make out every few words, if that), and the video is extremely distorted to where you can sometimes not even tell there are people there. It gets all pixelated and weird. I tried doing the chat with Google Talk and then again with Skype, and had just as many problems with those. My family is using a Mac with an older OS, and they can see and hear me perfectly fine. I'm not sure if the problem is with my computer or with theirs, or if it's just a communication problem, but any ideas would be really helpful. Thanks!After iChat developed missing audio and video pixellation problem post Snow Leopard installation at my mother-in-law's machine (and ours), I tried the usual decrease the bandwidth fix to no avail.
The solution that actually fixed the probem was to turn off port forwarding protocol on her Time Capsule and our Airport Extreme. Things are now working smoothly even at 500 kbps settings on both ends.
An interesting aside... Turning off port forwarding for ssh to her machine doesn't kill the ssh port tunnel from the outside LAN to her mac. It looks like iChat and the Time Capsule keep an incoming ssh tunnel open even if you have disabled port forwarding on the Time Capsule. I suspect this "secret" opening of ports is the magic of why iChat and screen sharing have been so much easier to set up when a Mac is behind an Apple router. 3rd party routers need ports manually forwarded to the Mac. Apple routers just worked ---- and it looks like Apple does it by invisibly opening ports on their routers when a Mac runs iChat.
Pretty nifty, but also silently opens a security hole that you may THINK you closed. SL seems to trip up over this arrangement when you also turn on Port Mapping Protocol and manually assign ports to forward.
At any rate, it wasn't the data rate, it was a new bad interaction between the Apple Router's Port Mapping Protocol and iChat 5. Turn off PMP on the airport and all becomes well once more. -

I bought my HP laptop almost a year ago for my first year of university and recently the sound has been stopping and starting.
The sound sometimes works fine, but other times it works to begin with but then within the space of a few minutes it stops and won't work again until I shut my laptop off and turn it back on again.
When the sound won't work, neither will any youtube videos or iTunes songs, they stay on 00:00 and don't play at all.
I've tried all the help given on this link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=uk&lc=en&docname=c03257712#N432 but to no help. My computer is all updated, the speakers say they have no new updates, and all my anti virus software says my computer is protected and under no threat.
When doing all the stages on the link above, the Step 2 'change stystem sounds' part says that 'the device is being used by another application' when checking each individual speaker, even though I have nothing else running. So I am a little confused at what else could be running.
I have read a few of the help posts given for this type of problem and apparently deleting the audio speakers from device manager hasn't been very helpful for some people and I am wary of deleting things and making matters worse.
If someone could please get back to me to help I'd appreciate it. If not I'll have to go into PC World to get it fixed, as my laptop is still under warranty and should not be having problems after less than a year of use.

Try the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Windows Update, select 'View update history' in the left hand pane and then select 'Installed updates' link in the following window.
Locate update KB2962407, right click it and select Uninstall. When done, restart the notebook, open windows Control Panel, open Windows Update and select 'Check for updates'. You'll see the update you just uninstalled being offered again - right click and select 'Hide Update'.
After this you may or may not need to delete and reload the Audio driver - if you do, the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the document on the link below.

Podcasts and Videos not working sometimes.
Over the past few months I have noticed that certain podcasts and videos (an episode of Desperate Housewives at the moment) that I purchased from or obtained from iTunes won't load on or play on my iPhone because it cannot be played on it. Anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it (assuming you did)?
I would understand if I didn't get the files from Apple... But that is not the case.

Synching audio and video not working
I recorded a separate audio and video clip of an interview, and I marked the start of the clip with a clapperboard and spoke the take number and contents to make life easier, as I usually do. The gear is borrowed from the college, and for some reason the audio that came out of the Canon 5Dmkiii was really low. This could be the reason why, when I put both the video and audio into their own bin and right click and merge clips, (with the syncronisation point as audio, and under audio tab checking the box to remove audio from AV clip) that the clip doesn't seem to recognise the snap of the clapperboard or something maybe? Is there any way I can correct this, or do I need to synch it manually? If so, is there any quick and easy tutorial on youtube or something that is recommended?
I discovered that if I put markers manually on the point where the clapperboard snaps, and select marker instead of audio as the synchronisation point, then it synchs up the clips properly.
