Photo Negative to a Positive
I have an HP PSC 1315xi; is it possible to use it to turn a photo negative to a positive?
Hi there @Cleos
Welcome to the HP Community,
You would most likely need a ScanJet model in order to scan negatives.
I have checked the printers specifications and this printer does not seem to turn negatives into positives.
Printer Specifications for HP PSC 1315, 1315v, 1315xi, and 1315s Printers
I hope that answers your question!

My IPhone 3Gs is in showing everything Photo negative manner. How to bring it to normal viewing?
Go to Settings>General>Accessibility
Make sure that the White on Black is set to off, and that should set it back to normal. -

Is the Photosmart C410a capable of converting photo negatives to photos on the computer? Please advise.
This question was solved.
View Solution.HI,
No its not, you need a unit with a scanner that is capable of scanning transparant media. This means it has a extra light in the lid. Last HP printer that had this feature was the c8180. Not sure about the scanners only units. I do now there are special scanners out there just for this purpose and they are not to expensive.
Find more info HERE.

I recently upgraded iPhone4S to iOS7. Now photos on my phone look like photo negatives; all colors are a ghostly contrast. The same is true for icons of downloaded apps. What can I do?
Invert the colors back to normal.

Ah, yes, the ipad equivalent. I missed the ipad reference (one of those days).
That's usually my excuse.... That, or lack of coffee. -
does anyone know how I turn negatives into a positive on Aperture please? I have scanned a bunch of negs and want ot make a contact sheet. Would really appreciate some clues on where to start. Thanks
Yeah, it's simple. You scan your images singly, then import them. Then, one by one adjust them. Under the adjustment brick, pull up the CURVES tool. It is one of dozens available from the pulldown menu on the left side.
So, with your image in view, you click on the adjustment tool, select CURVES (which will be at the bottom of a few other adjustment sliders such as EXPOSURE) under the Histogram and then grab the bottom of the right hand curve and swing it all the way to the left. Then grab the left hand curve and drag it all the way to the right.
The right curve represents highlights. The left curve represents shadows. Now the two are reversed. Your negative is now a positive. For added control, you can create mid-tone curves of your own and make finer adjustments. I haven't done this much so the experts might weigh in here with corrections and added advice. -
My IPad 2 screen has gone into "photo negative" type images for everything. Ideas?
Can anyone help re. IPad 2 screen,et al going into photo negative view of everything?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes." -
Color of video looks extremely different (photo negative) after export
After sending my footage (on my timeline) to Color, I changed the color in the Primary In, then added some Effects in the Color FX section. I added Exposure, Film Look, and Saturation. I edited each one of my clips (with the same settings as I mentioned) and then sent it back to FCP. I rendered the footage. The footage looked great in the timeline. Everything looked just as I wanted it to. But then when after exporting using Quick Time conversion, I played the video and it looked absolutely horrible. When I say horrible I mean the footage looked like a photo negative, it was not even watchable. I had other footage in the exported video that was not edited in color, and that footage was fine.
Where is this problem coming from and how do I solve it? I would really appreciate help on this issue.
Here is a link with what my footage looked like after exporting it:

IPhone screen is displaying photo-negative appearance
My iPhone screen suddenly looks like a photo negative. My kids were messing with it and now every single app, icon, photo, game, etc. has this photo negative look. How can I change this back?
try resetting your phone, you won't lose any dataL: hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release. Then wait for the phone to boot back up and see if that resolves the issue.

Hello, I dropped coffee on my keyboard. I wiped the coffee off as fast as I could, BUT I hit al sorts of buttons while it was still connected to my computer. NOW Everything looks photo negative. I want to restore my desktop defaults.
Hit control-option-command-8 to reverse the negative effect. You can also do this, and check other settings, in System Preferences>Universal Access.
