Photo on iPhone won't send to Web Gallery

HELP!
I have iLife 08 and I have my .Mac email set up on my iPhone, but when I want to send to the web gallery, it won't let me! It says to check my password or username.
I get email on my iPhone from .Mac which is the same password... what do I need to do?
Thanks.

  • Send  to Web Gallery "picture viewing order"?

Is there a way to keep the viewing order of pictures I send from my iPhone via the Send to Web Gallery so the pictures show in the order I sent them and not that the last picture I sent is shown first?
I want the images to be viewed in the order I sent them so the 1st picture is the 1st picture on the web page and the 2nd one sent is the 2nd, etc...
Right now the last picture I send is 1st, etc...
I made a title picture I want to make sure is always the 1st one.
    Thanks
    tj

Bummer. Would be nice if you are doing something on the road, like Macworld, and I send pictures to the Web Gallery, that they would be in the order I send them so they get a visual picture of my timeline there at the show. Now showing the last day first. Bummer.
    Thanks

  • Can't get "Send to web gallery" option to work on the iPhone.

I have been trying to get the "Send to web gallery button" to work on my iPhone for a few weeks now. I managed to get it to work once. I was directed to delete the gallery on iPhoto ’08 and then recreate it and make sure my iPhone was not connected to wifi and wait 1 hour, it worked once… Then never again.
I have an ongoing case open with Apple Care but there does not seem to be any definitive answer on how to get the option to work properly. One representative says that it should word fine, the other says that that feature was disabled in the last patch, (I had it working once under the current iPhone version 1.0.2 so I knew he was misinformed) I followed this Apple document and am still unable to get the feature to work: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306272
The Apple Care representative told me that the official Apple doc listed above was incorrect and that there was a better way to get the gallery to work and directed me to a Mac World Mac 911 article to resolve the issue http://www.macworld.com/weblogs/mac911/2007/08/iphonetowebgallery/index.php
I insisted that this was a work around and that the actual “send to web gallery” button should display on the iPhone the Apple Care representative told me that I was incorrect and that the Mac 911 article was the only way to get the option to work.
I actually met and spoke with the author Christopher Breen last weekend, and he agreed that this was a “work around” and that the "send to web gallery option on the iPhone should work. All I had to do was insure that I had my dot Mac account set up on the iPhone, iPhoto ’08 installed, a web gallery created in iPhoto and the option “Allow photo uploading by email” checked and published and all should be good in the world. Unfortunately, I just can’t seem to get it to work?
I am not trying to “bash” Apple I would just like to get this option to work properly. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to get this option to work?

It seems to be an ongoing issue the last couple of days..there's a few posts already discussing it in the forum. I found that if I sent the photos from my verizon acct on the iphone, it uploaded to the gallery fine..so it's a .mac account problem i think. Try it through another acct and I don't think you'll have a problem. It had always worked fine for me sending from my mac account until this weekend.

  • Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)

Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)

    Hey lozza567,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues sending MMS messages. The following resource may provide a solution:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
Issues with sending and receiving MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
    - An iPhone 3G or later.
    - iOS 3.1 or later.
    - A cellular data connection. MMS isn't available if you are using only Wi-Fi.
    - A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You may need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information.
    - A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network different from your billing cellular provider's network. Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps first
    1. Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
    3. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
    4. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you are roaming on a cellular provider network different from your billing provider's network.
    5. Verify that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar at the top left of your iPhone.
    6. Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
    7. Verify that you can send and receive SMS. If you are unable to send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above.
    8. MMS may not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
    9. Restart your iPhone.
    10. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
    11. Reseat your SIM card.
If you are still unable to send or receive MMS, follow these steps
    1. Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you are sending a group message.
    3. Make sure that you are using the area code with the contact's phone number. When sending messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
    4. Verify a "Pay as you go" MMS plan has enough available balance. Contact your carrier if unsure of your MMS plan or available balance.
    5. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
    6. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
    7. Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
    8. If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process may not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
    9. Contact your carrier to verify that you are provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
    10. Contact your carrier to verify that there are no blocks or filters placed on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
    11. Your carrier may require APN settings to be modified to use MMS. Learn more about when you should adjust APN settings.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • IPhone won't send outgoing mail since upgrade to 5.0

iPhone won't send outgoing mail since upgrade to 5.0

I would manually go over each smtp setting and compare it with the mail providers guide
and if they were 100% the same then I would
get in touch with the phone company to verify if they were blocking the ports being
    used by the mail service
there is no general issue with ios5 removing out going mail services or blocking ports

  • Iphone won't send mail - does receive

This seems to have been discussed ad nauseum, but I can't figure out the solution for me.  I get the following message when trying to send or reply to emails "iphone won't send email  a copy has been placed in your outbox.  the sender address ______was rejected by the server".  On wifi everything works, not when I am off though.  My email provider is Roadrunner  (.twcny.rr.com)
Everything was fine up until yesterday.  I don't know what could have changed.....
    Any help would be appreciated.
    KR

I'm having same difficulty.   Was on tech support this AM and they couldn't figure it out either.   I'm setting up a home wifi in next few days, will be interested to see if situation changes.   My iPhone seems convinced that I'm [email protected] and tries to originate email from that address, only to be rejected by server as you describe.  I can receive email that is addressed to [email protected], but even replying to such mail gets the same error.  I'm beginning to suspect an ios5 bug, or there's something else about authorizing email addresses than is covered in documentation.

  • I changed the password for my Apple ID and now my iPhone won't send my texts

I changed the password for my Apple ID and now my iPhone won't send out my texts....says they are undeliverable unless I send them out manually as texts.

    Hi sbiermann,
If you have recently changed the password on your Apple ID account, you may need to manually sign out and sign back in to your Apple ID on your device for the change to take effect. You may find the following article helpful:

  • Suddenly today, my iPhone won't send pictures to certain people...has worked fine until today.

Suddenly today, my iPhone won't send pictures to certain people...has worked fine until today.  Sends fine to some but not to others.  What's up?

Like any electronic item, it sometimes gets inexplicably balled up. The reset is no different than rebooting a computer that is acting hinky. If you don't have to do it often, then it is not anythign to worry about. (I know - not the kind of tech talk you were probably expecting, but the words selected are about as scientific as you can get concerning this type of weirdness....)

  • IPhone won't send iMessage (even when signed on Wi-FI or 3G)

My iPhone won't send iMessages even when I try to connect through Wi-Fi or 3G. At first I thought it was my Wi-Fi but it wasn't since I can connect to programs such as Safari and Instagram. I have also reset my network settings. Can someone help me or have any idea how I can fix this?
    Thank you!

    Phone is not jailbroken.
    Got it re: passcode lock.
If I do a system restore, but I restore as a new phone, will my crucial phone functionality remain intact (phone number, ability to make calls, etc.)? And when it's restored, do I then just do a sync to have all my data brought back into the device?
Sync settings for calendar and contacts are enabled properly, and are the same as they have been for years. I'm not sure it's the calendar or contact data that is corrupted (although anything is possible) because the sync problems started happening exactly when the iMessage problems started happening.
Please advise on the system restore (not from backup) and I will post my results. Just wanna make sure I'm not doing anything irreparable.
    Thanks...DG

  • Send to Web Gallery FIX

THE PROBLEM - when you click on your iPhone to send a photo to your web gallery, you don't have that button available.
Like some people this feature was not enabled automatically on my iPhone. After talking to Apple Support, and getting upgraded to a specialist, here's the fix.k
THE FIX - First, restore (NOT reset) the iPhone to factory settings in iTunes. Plug in the iPhone, click on the iPhone icon in itunes, go through the Restore process.
Note - Don't freak out when it tells you that you need to activate your phone with ATT. It will automatically do this for you, just takes a couple of minutes. Chill!
Once the restore is done reinstalling your software, iTune's going to ask you to either use a "back up" of your settings, or use a fresh start so to speak to finish your restore, click on the TOP button. You don't want to use the back up of your phone settings (Bottom button). You want the tabula rasa. I tried it the other way thinking I could save myself some down time and it didn't work, just trust me ok?)
Once the iPhone is restored (not reset) you enable .Mac in the settings app on the iphone. (Home button, settings, choose Mail, and add your .Mac email to it.) Then choose settings again, main, and scroll to the bottom of the screen, select DEFALT ACCOUNT and make sure that your .mac is set as the default email account on your iPhone.
Once you've done this, use iphoto 08 (once it's installed, make sure you have the 7.01 version be running software update. The 7.0 version won't cut it.) and upload a set of photo's to your Web Gallery. Once a web gallery has been established on .Mac, sync your iPhone with iTunes and you can then utilize this feature on your iPhone.
After apple support figured out how to do this the whole process took about a half an hour.
whew.... I'm gonna go take a nap.

Only a few things are required to get the "Send to Web Gallery" button to appear.
    1. You must have the latest software update done on the phone
    2. You must have a .Mac account setup in the phone's Mail app. It must be a "full" .Mac account that has an iDisk, if your account is email-only you will not see the button.
    3. You must have some kind of network connectivity, whether WiFi or EDGE.
    4. You should have your .Mac account set as the default in the phone's Mail Settings screen. Once the button appears you can change this if you want.
    5. Wait some time for the button to appear -- repeatedly checking in the Photos app will not make it appear any faster, and in fact may delay it. You may have to wait up to one hour after completing the above steps.

  • "Send to Web Gallery" Button

Ok, so I know that this has been covered in a few different threads, but I still have yet to get my issue resolved.
    To start off:
    • I am running OS X 10.4.10
    • I have a .Mac account
    • My .Mac account was set up in mail and synced with my iPhone
    • I manually deleted my .Mac account and re-synced
    • My iPhone is running 1.0.2
    • I'm running iLife '08
    • iPhoto has all the current updates installed
    • I have a published web gallery open to the public
    • I have also checked the box "Allow photo uploading by email”
    • And I have checked the box "Show Photo Titles"
I still have yet to get the button "send to web gallery" when in the camera roll while clicking the button to email a photo. I have done a reset on my iPhone, I have waited 4hrs before accessing my camera roll, and I still cannot get that button to show up.
Lastly to note, I have also called Apple, and they had no idea how to resolve my issue.
So thus I turn to the Apple Elite. Your passion for Apple and its products have helped me in the past, and I once again I seek your knowledge.
    Someone please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    -Tim

I do wonder, what is so different about setting up the .Mac account directly through the iPhone, verses doing it through mail and syncing the two devices, but appairently, this made the difference. I had to delete my account off my phone, re-enter the info. manually, Waited 2 hrs without playing with the camera or photos. Sent a few emails to my .mac account from my web browser on my computer, then checked and it was there, then finally re-synced my phone to my mac and it remained.

  • TS3406 Help my iphone won't send or receive texts!

I have just purchased a new iphone 5s however it won't send or receive texts?? I can make and receive calls and the internet is working fine, any one got any suggestions how to fix it? Thanks

Are you trying to use actual SMS with non-iOS devices. If so, SMS is a carrier funcation and you would need to contact your carrier. If you are trying to connect to iOS devices, that is an iMessage, and you would need to go to Settings>Messages and see if iMessage is turned on and activated.

  • IPhone won't send email

My iPhone 4S won't send emails. I can receive emails just fine but I can't seem to send any. Each time I try to send an email it says my password is incorrect (which is isn't). I've checked my STMP server to make sure the information on it was correct but when I typed in my password it wasn't responding. Any other suggestions or solutions I could try to fix this problem?

    Hello Chantelle103
If everything checks out, then the only other option is to remove the email account and then add it back. Then test with sending out the email again.
