Had a series of green and orange flashing lights on photo printer. canon advised me to buy new since repair cost would be prohibitive. received new one am getting same message and now, printer doesnt recognize my ink i had been using in old ip3600- same new model changed to new canon ink supplied with printer same ink message; tried to load old ink support form in tank figuring might be defect in spot where large black tank goes; same thing happend any suggestions?

Please document the exact error pattern that is shown on the printer with the new cartridges installed. Count how many times the light flashes orange before it flashes green, or count how many times the lights alternate before the pattern repeats.

make sure you're selecting the correct printer icon. there is a problem with Photo Printing Wizard and Photo Gallery in Windows Vista, where when trying to print, it does not select the default printer icon, and sometimes selects the fax icon.
so double-check the FULL name of the printer icon before printing.

Color LaserJet CM1015 mfp photo printing problem

I am running a Color LaserJet CM1015 mfp utilizing only HP print cartridges and HP Color Laser Photo Paper, glossy, yet I cannot seem to get a decent photo to print. There is always a black smear or two on the front of the printed page. It prints black and white and color just fine on plain paper but I cannot get a decent print on glossy. This has happened since day one so I don't think it's a dirty print roller,,etc. issue.

Yes I solved the problem. I had to clean the registry of all information regarding this printer. During the installation I noticed interesting thing. The only installation that worked well was from the CD that came with the printer. I've tried downloaded latest version but it didn't install properly and have no idea why.

Photo printing problems

Trying to print 4x6 photos from computer using hp premium photo paper. Using the windows photo gallery manager application on computer. Was able to print the first three photos but printer stopped printing. Print jobs go to the printer que but nothing ever prints.

Photosmart 7350 Photo Printing Problems

When I print a photo with my Photosmart 7350, it would stop printing after 2/3 of the photo was done. I uninstalled the printer, then reinstalled, and now the whole photo will print, but where it used to stop, the quality of the print drops significantly. It's always in the same spot, no matter the print quality selected.
I'm using Win XP, SP3 and a USB connection. I get no error messages of any kind.
Any suggestions?

C6280 Photo printing problems

Any time I want to print photos on HP photo paper they come out with alot of pink and yellow - grey clouds show up as pink and light green shows as yellow. It doesnt matter if I use the printer 'reprint photos' button or go through the print functions on the computer. This goes for photos I already have saved on the computer, just scanned into the computer using the C6280 or just using the printer functions without the computer.
If I print the very same photos on ordinary paper ie not photo paper, they turn out perfect. So it is not a scanning issue.
I have changed the printer settings to Best print, HP premium paper, and changed the RTL to what was suggested in the printers instructions - they still come out overdone with pink!
I am an avid scrapbooker so printing my own photos is a must! These same photos and photo paper worked well together on our previous HP (a 900cxi)
What setting am I missing?

Hi,
I think there are 2 possibilities here. Both are equally likely.
1) One of the cartridges is close to empty. Maybe the Light Cyan. Printing the photos in normal plain paper mode may use different amount of ink from different cartridges so thsi coudl explain why the problem is not observed there
2) You're using media from yoiur old 990cxi that doesn;t work so well with the newer inks in your C6280.

990cxi also can use these 2 paper types but if you had stockpiled soem premium or premium plus photo paper from this printer this might not work so well on teh C6280. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/supplies_model.do?model_name=Deskjet%20990cxi

Photo printing problem on 2230

Business ink jet 2230 prints black & white photos with purple tinge. Print heads have been cleaned, Plenty of ink in cartridges

Okay.
I've tried something, it works.
Nothing's perfect but I can print pretty decent quality from my Epson R800 on Snow Leopard.
First, I uninstalled GutenPrint. Just downloaded the 5.2.4 update, then run the uninstaller.
Reboot. Done.
Second, I've downloaded the last Epson drivers for my R800 (epson13197.dmg - 30.9MB - posted on 24/08/09), installed it, reboot then run a Permission repair routine.
Third thing : From the Printers and Fax Preference Panels, I've flushed the old R800 printer settings then reinstall a fresh new one. The driver use is now Epson SP R800 (1). +(GutenPrint is definitively out.)+
From now, adjusting the setting in the printer driver, I can print decently.
No more use of .icc profiles (when printing from Lightroom and Photoshop, pictures are dark, I mean really dark, and oversaturated).
Final problem : unsolvable.
Whenever I start a 64-bits application (Safari, Mail, etc.) , there's no printer's settings available. Every window allowing settings is «crossed» and the driver is telling me that «The windows are not compatible with this version of the software, please contact Epson».
But If I use a preset sets in a 32-bits application, the preset is use properly.
I can't change it, but it print according to the preset.

Deskjet D4260 printer - Photo Printing Problem

I have a Deskjet D4260 printer, OS Windows 7. When I print a 4 6 photo in landscape, the photo comes out on half the paper. How do I correct this?

EPSON R300 PHOTO PRINTING PROBLEMS

i have an epson r300 printer connected through my wireless router to im imac but when i try to print, all this crazy text comes out rather than what i want.. so im guessing that it is corresponding with the printer to at least some point since i recognises i want to print but thats it? any help is appreciated.

i got the ARC_DOC_ID form table toahr. now how can i print this emp photo on Adobe form.
is this hexadecimal value or string ?
please explain the whole process for printing employee photograph on Adobe Form?

8500 w/Vista Windows Photo Printing Problem

My 8500 printer goes to Fax screen every time I try to print a photo from my Windows photo gallery. I have had the printer for about six weeks and it just started doing this. Also, I cannot get the scan feature to work. Please, can anyone help? I live in a very rural area of Hawaii with very little support available. Thanks, and Aloha

You're probably choosing the Managed by Printer "Profile:" in the Print - Print Job sidebar. There are very few printers that work with this Profile due to the internal colorspace of LR. You'll need to add and choose a Printer/Paper profile from this list and turn off color management in the Print Driver.
Another necessary item for display / printer matching are: display calibration

Wet/blurred photo checks:
1. Verify the photo papers are supported for the printer. The best options for this unit may be HP every day or advanced glossy papers
2. View correct settings in software: paper type, quality, size, etc.(match to media and job)
3. Verify photo papers are loaded correctly

Photo printing problem

I have a laptop with Windows 8 and my pictures will not print properly. The seem to not center on the paper which results in them being cut off on the left sdie and have extra white on the right side. I just re-installed the printer from the HP downloads. I have the HP Photosmart Prem 310 series printer. Hoping someone can help resolve this issue.

Does this happen when you copy a picture of the same size too, or only when you print from the computer? Can you try printing from a different program and let me know if it happens from there too. Also, please let me know which program you use when the issue irises. From your description, it sounds like the alignment is off, or maybe the print settings are incorrect. Either way, we will figure this out and work towards a solution!
