    A) a new iPod Air

After researching this topic, I found the placing an old SIM card in a new iPad would be impossible. There is no way for consumers to remove the back cover... Without dropping it off a building. My best suggestion: Use the current plan up first. Then buy a new plan.

What is a good midrange photo inkjet printer for the Macbook Pro?

    Hello!
You may want to take a look at this link:

This is the HP store and should give some examples of good mid-range inkjet printers. I'd highly suggest reading reviews on the products and ensuring that the print options included fit your needs.

  • Data Recovery for Macbook Air when repair efforts failed

My computer is unable to boot and stays on the gray screen. I've tried to repair my computer with every method up to disk utility but nothing will work, so I want to back up my computer if possible before reinstalling the software. I don't use time machine, so I was wondering if there is a way to do it by external hard drive.
    Thank you for any suggestions!

There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to fully boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    1. Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup) or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in the support article linked below, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
How to back up and restore your files
    2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode by holding down the key combination command-T at the startup chime. Connect the two Macs with a FireWire or Thunderbolt cable. The internal drive of the machine running in target mode will mount as an external drive on the other machine. Copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode
    3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.

  • Lost photo recovery on MacBook using iPhoto

Hi...My wife just returned from a family reunion.  She synced her phone to iPhoto.  When prompted, she selected "Delete originals on device".  AT THIS TIME...the iPhoto software crashed and quit.  When iPhoto was relaunched, the photos are NOT visible in iPhoto.  ON THE PHONE...All photos are erased.
Thanks in advance for the help.  She's very upset and would appreciate any help anyone can offer.
    Thanks agian!
    iPhone 4, Software Version 4.2.10

AHA!  They appeared in the iPhoto "Last Month" folder under "RECENT".  I can't drag these photos into the main "Photos" section.  I created an album of the photos but I'm concerned that this is a temp file and the photos could go away.
What is the "Last Month" folder?  Will it empty itself if I don't save these, or move, these photos somewhere else?
    Thanks

  • What is the direct connect method for transfering photos from my macbook pro to my iphone without using iTunes syncronization? (iow: a simple photo copy from mac to iphone?)

I feel like I should know the answer to this. I can't believe it is a hard question.
What is the direct connect method for transfering photos from my macbook pro to my iphone without using iTunes syncronization? (iow: a simple photo copy from mac to iphone?)
    Easy? Right?
Just plug my iphone in to a mac and copy a photo from the mac to my iphone.
I don't have internet access - I can't email it, or mobileme it, or dropbox it.

iTunes. Other than that there is no direct method. However, do try the iPhone forums.

  • Internet recovery for 2010 MacBook w/ Snow Leopard?

    Hi all,
Can I use Internet recovery for a 2010 13-inch MacBook that's currently running 10.6.8 if I update to Yosemite before erasing the drive? I want to erase and reinstall the OS because there's a bad block, but I can't find the original installation disk. (And actually, last time I *tried* to boot off that installation disk, the MacBook wouldn't read it anyway. So I'm not sure how hard to keep looking.) I know that there was a firmware update for this MacBook to use Internet Recovery, but that requires Lion; so I'm wondering now if I upgrade to Yosemite, would that automatically update the firmware? Thanks.

Check here to find out: Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery. If your machine can be upgraded to use Internet Recovery, then download the appropriate firmware update and install it. Thereafter, you could use Internet Recovery to reinstall post-Snow Leopard versions of OS X.
The point is that unless you first install the firmware update, then you won't be able to use Internet Recovery to install OS X over the network Recovery HD.

  • Can someone recommend a photo recovery program for iMac

Please help me.  The micro SD card on my Galaxy S4 is damaged.  I need to get the photos off of it and get them onto my iMac, if that is even possible.  Has anyone had any experience with this?  Is there a program out there that can help me?
    Thank you,
    Stephanie

There is an app here Recover deleted photos from Galaxy S4 microSD card | Samsung Galaxy Recovery  for Macs for reading the MicroSD card from a Galaxy S4.
If the card is physically damaged then there's not much you can do; there may be some service out there that you could give large amounts of cash to that might be able to recovery some data.
If it's just the files that are damaged in some way, then you might be able to repair the files with some sort of drive utility. I imagine that this card is not formatted to be readable on a Mac (I tried looking up how this card is formatted for the Galaxy but I could not find any info on this), so it's unlikely that it would mount or be repairable with Disk Utility. But maybe there is some equivalent app on a PC.

  • I Deleted my photos from my Macbook

I deleted my photos form my MacBook, and then emptied the trash can with them in it, how do I get them back if possible.  Thanks for the help.
    Eric

Stop using the Mac immediately until you have the recovery software. The more you use it, the more likely you are to over-write the files and lose them forever.
Nothing can be guaranteed here; if the pics are critically important, the best move is to go to a profesional recovery firm. That will, however be very expensive.
The consumer software solutions aren't cheap either, but if you don't have backups you're going to need them.
    Data Rescue 3;
    http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php
    Stellar Phœnix;
    http://www.macintosh-data-recovery.com/
Both programmes will give you a free download to scan your HD and see if the files are recoverable, but you'll have to pay for the full application to actually recover them.
DiskWarrior is another possibility which also has other functions for troubleshooting, but I don't know personally how well it performs at recovery.

  • Photos is syncing all photos to my Macbook, how do I delete them ?

I just bought a new macbook that only has 128gb storage so I don't want all the photos from iCloud downloaded to the macbook.
I just noticed that 800+ photos have been downloaded to the macbook (only 500MB so not a huge deal so far) but once I upgrade my iMac to the 10.3 and sync those photos (to photos) then I'll really run into a problem.
I did select optimize mac storage but like others have commented, I can't adjust how much storage and I don't want to use a large amount of space for photos on my macbook.
The weird thing is, when In go into my photos folder into the photos library (on the macbook) and try to delete the photo from my macbook it gave me a warning that "THESE PHOTOS WILL BE DELETED FROM ALL OF YOUR DEVICES" so it seems like I can't delete photos from my macbook without losing them completely?
Hopefully I'm wrong about my assumption but if that is the case I need to turn off photo syncing with iCloud completely in Photos because I don't want these photos on the macbook (Unless I manually download one to the laptop).
Is this case? or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks

Ijust told you how to delete them off your ipod.
Open itunes, connect ipod, go to photos tab, select whatever you want, sync.

  • How can i transfer photos from my macbook to my imac without altering their quality

I am trying to transfer photos from my macbook to my imac, with the same version og iphoto, but it seems that the imac is having trouble to give me clean photos, as if it was putting 2 images, one on the other.... any suggestion for a clean and quick transfer ? and to what may cause that the photos seems blurry ?
    thanks
    Lau

Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

  • Is possible to transfer photos from a macbook pro to an iphone without itunes or an internet connection?

Is possible to transfer photos from a macbook pro to an iphone 5 without itunes or an internet connection? I'm a pro photographer and I need to transfer photos from my camera, edit them, copy photos to my iphone and send via 4G network to an editor. I will be in a location without internet access and my old computer itunes wont sync with my new iphone 5. I can't upgrade the computer right now because I need some of the old software.  Thanks.

Some decent suggestions for apps to do this in this thread:

  • I can send photos TO my MacBook Pro from my iPhone 5S using AirDrop but not vice versa.

I am using OS X Yosemite 10.10 on my MacBook Pro, which has AirDrop enabled and is available in Finder and I am using iOS 8.1 on my iPhone 5S.  I can send photos to my MacBook Pro using AirDrop from my iPhone but I cannot send photos to my iPhone from my MacBook Pro using AirDrop.  I have to email the photos to myself via email.  Is there anyone else having a problem with this or does anyone have any advice on how to fix this problem?  When dragging a photo to my listed iPhone in AirDrop on my MacBook Pro I simply get an error notification, which is very frustrating.  Thank you for your time.

Sorry, please disregard this. My roommate rebooted the router while I had stepped outside and now it's all running again.
At least this will be a possible option for anyone else that has this problem
