Photo Resolution after Update to 4.0

FWIW, following todays update to 4.0 and itunes automatic reload/sync of the existing content, the resolution of all photos on the itouch went to terrible... I'm guessing that the resolution was not far above the resolution of the thumbnails.
The fix was to mark photo sync as manual, then uncheck all synced folders and sync... no photos on the itouch verified... then recheck the folders and sync again... after sync, the photos on the itouch were then displayed at the former resolution.
Hope that this information is of value.

I noticed after I updated to 3.2.2, after 4.0 came out, that all my repositories had been removed from Xcode server even though the git repositories were still on disk at the same location as they always were. I eventually discovered that the location OS X Server / Server / Xcode Server stores the repository had changed. It was originally "/Library/Server/Xcode/Repositories" but after the update "/Library/Developer/XcodeServer/HostedRepositories" is where new repositories were being created. I'm pretty disappointed that it didn't either move the existing repositories during the update, or remember that the existing repositories were in the other location, rather than just making them inaccessible. I've moved the repositories to the new directory which has mostly worked Not too surprisingly though a subset of Xcode clients are now reporting peculiar git errors on some operations on newly checked out repos.

  • ZBook 14 - Can't change screen resolution after update

After I installed some software updates the Laptop was suggesting me, my screen resolution went suddenly from 1900x1200 to 1200x720 after reboot, and it doesn't let me change it, not even to a smaller resolution. I am quite frustrated, because I will need the computer next week for visualization works and I really need the display working well.
It doesn't let me change the resolution. The display and graphics drivers are up to date and working properly, according to the device manager. I made a system recovery, but that just made everything worse although the resolution thing worked again, I had to run a startup repair several times before my laptop would boot propery again. This didn't solve the issue, since the display drivers weren't working properly (videos were being visualized very poorly) and even after updating them the computer wouldn't start up again, so I had to made another system recovery and now I am back to the point where I can't change the resolution and is starting to be really frustrating.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

  • My photos lost after update from 3.1.3 to 4.0.0

    Sorry for my English.
After updating from 3.1.3 to 4.0.0 I lost pictures.
They occupy the volume is displayed in iTunes, but they are not.
New photos continue numbering from the old and the volume in iTunes is increasing.
How to return all the pictures in the phone, only see those that did after the upgrade?

    Thanks. I found this:
I first learned this technique when upgrading my iPhone 3G to iOS4:
    1) Connect your iPhone to your computer
    2) Run iPhone Explorer on your computer (install it if you don't already have it)
    3) Backup (copy to a folder on your computer) and then delete the following files:
    /DCIM/.MISC/Info.plist
    /PhotoData/Photos.sqlite
    /PhotoData/PhotosAux.sqlite
    4) Unplug your iPhone, launch Camera Roll app and wait as it rebuilds the database.
The thumbnails that were showing as black on my iPhone look perfect now.
    And very happy!

  • Very high resolution after update

I just finished update after 2-weeks holiday, and... X start it very high resolution: 2048x1536. I have 1024x768 in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf, log shows that this file is used. How it is possible that higher mode is initialized? I use Linux for about 10 years but it's first time I see something like this.
PS. this is probably related to xf86-video-ati update, I use Radeon 9800 Pro.

does it happen in the login page? cuz i have the same problem (my monitor doesnt even show image because of the ress being so high)
but i have a x1650pro so shouldnt be a card problem..

  • Screen resolution after update

    Hi, everyone:
I updated my Solaris x86 from 01/06 to 06/06. After reboot, my screen becomes mosaic. Before my update, I can login with Java Desktop. Now I cannot. I tried edit my grub to boot to single user mode. But I cannot locate kdmconfig. Is there any other way that I can get the resolution right again?
    Thank you for your help.

  • My photos gone after updated ios 6 @_@

i have ipod 4th gen, just updated ios 6, after all... i lost all of my photos, and i don't have any idea what to do to get my photos back, i have thousands photos at my ipod, pleeeaasseee... help me....

I updated to ios 6 on my iPod touch earlier and had the same issue. I think iCloud has been backing mine up though. I freaked out because all 500 of my photos were gone and my stupid self didnt do a back up... But then they all reappeared :..) Maybe i just got lucky? Good luck though..

  • Coverflow really slow and duplicated photo library after updating

Hi!, I've been having these 2 issues stated in the titled since I updated my iPhone 4 yesterday after many "3200" errors. When I could finally pass the "Unpacking process", and just before finishing the update, I got a weird error (if I remember correctly it was something like -2 or so). I didn't pay much attention to it because my phone booted normally.
After that I configured the iOS5 pre-settings, and for my surprise, any of my apps, videos or music weren't there. I connected my device again, resynced and hopefully, the restore option popped up, and it went smooth with no errors. The first thing I noted was that some of my albums were lacking the cover art. I connected again and found that in itunes, my songs displayed the cover art correctly, but in the iphone they didn't. I replaced the missing covers and when checked the cover-flow, it was really slow! it is not fluid and freezes my device. What could it be? I think it's something to do with the cache or something...
And the other issue is more simple: after restoring, I got an extra folder called "Pictures" which contains the exact same pictures I sync from my computer (they are normally in the "Photo Library") How can I sort out my pictures?
PS: Here is a video I uploaded showing the 1st issue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcAEuN6tDvs please note the last cover I show in the video, some of the covers displays as shown (glossy pixelated, don't know if it got something to do with the issue)
    Thanks!

I also noticed a bug on Iphone 4 ios 5.0.1. In Ipod application when viewed in landscape position so slow and then kicks me to the springboard(desktop). Sorry for my English, i'm Ukrainian. I hope this problem fix in next update. Thanks

  • Photos disappeared after update to Mavericks...

I updated to Mavericks last night and then updated to the new iPhoto (had iPhoto '09). When I opened it, everything seemed ok except one Event with about 700 photos was missing, and it's probably the most important one I have. Then, I closed it and opened it again and the Event reappeared but with just 10 of the photos in it. I kept doing it, and each time I did so, 10 more photos would magically appear. This kept going until it got to 115 and then it stopped. I can't figure out what happened. What do I need to do?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards

  • Photos missing after updating to ios 5.5.1

When the IOS 5.1.1 update became available a few days ago, I decided to update. Before doing that, I attached my iPhone 4 to iTunes and synced the phone. When that was complete, I initiated the update.
Once the update was complete, I noticed that all of the photos and videos I had created since mid-March were missing. Are they stored on my computer from when I sync, and if so, how do I access them? Otherwise, why did this happen and how do I prevent it in the future?

Well, it doesn't technically back them up, but rather puts them on the computer. You can access them in either iPhoto or in iTunes. If the photos are already on the computer, try syncing the iPhone and set it to Sync Photos and Videos in Camera Roll.

  • How to stop photos shifting in photo book after update

I'm on a MacBook Pro and I okayed some sort of update to iPhoto '11 so now it is 9.4.3 and when I went to continue working on my photo project, it jacked with the layout of multiple pages, spreading multiple pages that used to be single pages over two pages.  It seemed to mainly do it on pages that have five photos, but a few weren't.  I'm really struggling to fix them.   When I rebuild another single page to replace the two-page spread and when I go to move the single page into position and then delete the former two-page spread, , it then often spreads the following page that used to be single over two pages so my problem continues throughout the book.
Under "project settings" I unchecked the auto layout feature.  No difference.
I tried "Revert to original" but all it did was delete a few photos and when I went to move pages, it continued shoving later pages into a two-page format.
It is frustrating because the problem seems to multiply.  Right now I can't move my new single page into its slot without making the following page switch to a double-page spread.  I tried forcing it to insert blank pages to keep neighboring pages single, but now when I go to delete or move those blank pages, it makes the following pages shift into a double-page spread.
    Ideas?

What version did you update from? There are some major updates that changed the Book Themes, and there is nothing that can be done to preserve the books exactly as they have been layed out, other than restoring the previous iPhoto version and iPhoto library from your backup and to finish the book while running the old version.
When I rebuild another single page to replace the two-page spread and when I go to move the single page into position and then delete the former two-page spread,  t then often spreads the following page that used to be single over two pages so my problem continues throughout the book.
To fix this, you can only start from the first page of the book and get your two-page spreads right from back to front. Keep autoflow disabled. Ignore the wrong page spreads on the following pages, while fixing the problem on the first pages. Delete a few pages at the end of the book, so that you can add page spreads again.

Go to Settings/iCloud and click on account. If you do not have a .me account entered in Apple ID change it to your .me account and password. if you can not edit it, delete it and create a .me account with your password and your issue will be resolved.

  • Where did the photos go after updating?

I updated iphoto and now I have lost all my photos! how do I get it back? the photos are way more important than the update.

Fast, simple, effective solution: Restore from your back up.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
