  • Spry Photo Gallery Broken Image Link

    I have attempted to merge the spry photo tutorial with our church's website. The images simply won't show up. It shows a broken image icon, but I can't understand why. I am wondering if the menu bar's javascript is interfering. Here's the code:

    I see you are still using Spry 1.5. Have you considered upgrading to
    Spry 1.6.1?
    Also your XML is broken, if you open up your xml in a normal standards
    complaint browser such as firefox, you will see that it doesn't render
    a normal tree view as it would do with other xml files. So i suggest
    checking those errors out.
    Its mainly because you  forgot to close your starting tag of the
    gallerys node. (<gallery
    base = ""
    background = "#FFFFFF"
    banner = "#F0F0F0"
    text = "#000000"
    link = "#0000FF"
    alink = "#FF0000"
    vlink = "#800080"
    before your xml starts.

  • How to download photos with broken display

    I accidentally dropped my Lumia 820 and want to download my photos now. But the display is so broken that I cannot enter the PIN code and hence cannot connect the phone via USB to my laptop. Is there any way around entering the PIN? All my photos are still on the phone memory and I would hate to lose them!

    Unfortunately not as wouldn't then be a security feature. For future reference consider use of SkyDrive to backup images to the "Cloud" as they are taken: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-gb/store/app/skydrive/ad543082-80ec-45bb-aa02-ffe7f4182ba8

  • In Yahoo Mail thumbnail photos appear broken in email messages

    I cannot view thumbnail photos in email messages that have photo attachments in my Yahoo Mail. The thumbnail appears as a broken image. When I click on the thumbnail it does open up a valid photo image.
    The problem occurs all the time in every email that has a thumbnail photo in it. It occurs in not only the Yahoo New Mail version but also in the Yahoo Classic Mail version.
    I have tried opening the email with both the Firefox and Google Chrome browsers, but the thumbnails appear broken when viewing the Yahoo Mail in both browsers. I am using Firefox 10.0 and Google Chrome 11.0 on a PC using Windows XP.
    I have a screenshot of how the broken thumbnails appear in the message if you want to see it.
    (It seems like the problem started with my upgrade to the Firefox 10.0 browser.)

    I've contacted yahoo on this same thing and it is them not your browser. I've tried in IE and Firefox and only get a generic thumbnail and if you click on slideshow you get black screen for each image.
    Stewart: I have checked and found that this is a technical issue going at our end.
    Stewart: Our Engineering team is already working on the resolution now and we intend to have it corrected as soon as possible.
    Stewart: The ticket number for this issue is 4904203.
    Doesn't look like they are in a hurry to fix the issue, can't believe more people haven't complained. It's been weeks for me and still doesn't work

  • Sync photos from broken phone

    Does anyone know if there is a way to sync my photos from a broken phone onto the cloud? I have an S5, screen is not working and I'm trying to sync the photo from my old one to the cloud and I'm not sure how to do it. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm sorry to learn that your screen is not working, smith7mh. Since you don't have a working screen, have you tried downloading the desktop application for Verizon Cloud to sync your device? http://spr.ly/658444w6

  • N85 Photos application broken

    Seem to have posted this in the wrong forum, so here is the original post again:
    -- BEGIN
    Not sure whether it was fully working beforehand, but I can't remember having had any issues prior. Ok, what did I do? I transferred an entire library to my N85, like 1000+ pictures with extensive tagging. I then browsed my picture library and realized that the application seemed to start not hanging, but first, not displaying the pictures properly anymore (remained in the initial blurry state), and then only displayed the broken image logo (if you don't know what it is, I don't know how to better explain it) [Retrospective Note: I was deleting certain images while browsing, so I didn't just browse]. Trying to switch the phone off and back on didn't solve the issue, and most operations resulted in a "General: System Error"! Thinking I've added too many images to my phone, I've deleted the entire library again, and only added a few selected images, like 19 to be exact. But, the problem persists. I can't even look at these few images anymore. Sooner or later, I'll get the same symptoms. And operations on these images, like tagging, result in a "General: System Error"! What I've also realized, is that my phone memory, all of a sudden, is only like 24MB. Even though before it was like 58MB. And I have definitely not added anything to my phone memory. So, does anyone have any idea as to what has happened here, and how to fix it?
    And yes, the rest of my phone seems to be working fine still, I can even select a slide-show as my wallpaper, select a few of these images, and these display all fine in the wallpaper.
    One other thing to add (and I hope I'm not being too verbose, but I may add anything I've noticed just in case it may help with the diagnosis): After I had deleted my library again, the tags remained in the phone, and even though there were no more images on the phone, not all of the tags showed 0 images, some of the tags still showed images, though when clicking on the tag, no images were shown. So, did something maybe not clean up properly?
    Any help with this would be much appreciated!!
    -- END
    I've tried a lot of things, inclusive of re-formatting the memory card, but all solutions seem to be only temporary. Here's one solution I've found that indeed temporarily fixes the problem:
    1) Attach N85 with USB cable to computer in Mass storage mode.
    2) Delete the following folder on the memory card: /private/101ffc31
    That folder contains the file glxmdstn, which seems to be the thumbnail cache for the Photos application. Once this folder is removed, and the Photos application is started, it'll create all the thumbnails again from scratch, and then the Photos application seems to work in all its glory.
    For a certain amount of time that is. I'm not sure what action exactly breaks it, for some time, I thought it was deleting an image, as I was able to actually reproduce it twice.
    I've deleted the cache, played with it for quite some time, no drama, deleted an image, and within a short amount of time, the issue arose again. I've done the same thing again, and the exact same thing happened. Though that wasn't it. As I've then encountered the same problem, looking at images with particular tags.
    Removed the cache again, even added another hundred pictures, and it's been working. Deleted a couple of images again, same problem. Deleted the cache again, now working. Have browsed images over and over, even from within the tag menu, and no drama so far, so I wasn't able to reproduce the issue by browsing by tags. Only deleting images seems to be a sure way to reproduce the issue so far (unless even that's a fluke). But something seems to be corrupting the thumbnail cache, somehow. And once corrupted, the photo application then doesn't seem to be able to deal with it anymore. Deleting the thumbnail cache works every time though. I'm trying to use it now without deleting any images, to see how long I can go without running into the same issue again.
    If anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them. And no, I have no idea why half my available phone memory has suddenly disappeared on me, but the last time I remember it being 50+MB was before I moved my photo library over, but that may be completely unrelated at the end, unless tagging and album management is somehow stored on the phone? And yes, I've read about resetting the phone to factory defaults, though I'd rather not, and I'm currently not even sure it would fix anything, given removing the thumbnail cache seems to do the trick.
    Thanks!

    "What im trying to say is as long as you have all the activation codes for your Nokia Maps, N Gage games and any 3rd party apps re setting a handset is not so hard and does not take that much time."
    That's right, it didn't take all that much time. What will take a lot of time though, as it seems, is to get all my N-Gage scores back. All my hard earned status and all that poker money --> GONE. My millions and millions of Asphat 4 dollars --> GONE. Even my pickup point score, as it seems --> GONE. What's more, my phone thought it would be clever to overwrite my profile settings in the arena with the empty default it had in my phone. That Photos app is better going to work from now on without any drama. If it turns out I did all that for nothing, I won't be happy, not the least bit, and I'll start cursing at Nokia just as some other people here seem to be doing.
    In retrospect, a re-format of the phone memory is not a resolution anyone should have to resort to in the first place. But I guess I've learned something today.
    Cheers!

  • Photo Import Broken - Fixed with USB Change

    Everything worked perfectly with the iPhone, camera, iTunes, and iPhoto. But iPhoto always showed 0 photos. Image Capture also showed 0. Only PhoneView showed photos and let me export them.
    Tried every fix I could think of even deleting the DCIM folder using PhoneView.
    Finally, I moved the USB cable to a different port. Fixed. Moving it back to the old port and it was broken again. Very odd fix for what seemed like a software problem.
    Will Mayall

    Wow... thank you mayall! My iPhoto wouldn't import photos from my 3GS no matter what I tried. I switched USB ports and it worked right away!

  • Download Photos - With broken screen

    Hey all,
    I have just broken my lumia 820 screen on a stag do. my insurance company have said they will fix it no problem but will wipe the photos and data. Ihave got my contacts backed up, but not the photos. is there a way u can get the photos off the camera without using the phone.
    Such as is there a way I can input the code/keylock via my laptop and then download my photos.
    thanks owain

    Were your photos saved to phone memory or memory card? If memory card, just remove and download using card reader.
    If you can power up yopr phone, you should be able to connect it to any windows pc using a usb cable. Phone should appear on pc as external memory.

  • Recovering photos from broken iphone

    I have an Iphone 4s and it's all smashed up (long story), I am trying to recover the files from it (mainly photos).
    When I connect it to my laptop (Windows 7) the light comes on for about 5 seconds then off for about 5 seconds and keeps going. My laptop doesn't recognise the device. I can put it in DFU mode and I hear the sound windows makes when a device is connected, but I've tried a bunch of different programs to retrieve the files and none of them are working. They are all saying "Iphone not in normal mode", So when I exit from DFU mode to go back to normal, none of the programs I am using will recognise the phone at all.
    Any help is much appreciated. I have lots of important photos I need off there (And yeah, I know, I should have backed it up. But I didn't).

    Sorry  doesn't ssound like you can.
    I'm assuming you never imported your pics to your computer either.

  • Iphone 5s background photo uploading broken?

    I just got the Iphone 5s and I have tried the Flickr app and the Google+ app.  Neither of them upload my photos until I go to the actual app.  Even if they are running in the background they don't auto upload.  Is that normal?
    Thanks.

    Hello carrie123,
    It sounds like the camera stopped working for you all of a sudden, and updating to iOS 7.0.4 did not get it working normally again. I have a couple things to recommend to you. First close all the open apps on the phone.
    iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    When you have done that restart the phone and try again:
    iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    I would next, if the issue persists see if this info helps:
    Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
    Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.

  • Photo Booth Broken!

    I have a huge Photo Booth problem. One of the image filters - specifically "thermal camera" isn't displaying a picture at all when selected. In the effects menu, where you have the grid showing all the different effects that can be applied to the picture it shows up fine, but once I select it, Photo Booth just shows a blank black screen.
    If I take a picture with it like this, and select the picture to view it, then Photo Booth doesn't even show the black screen, it just looks like this (click the link):
    http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/6818/picture1kd0.jpg
    I've tried reinstalling Photo Booth from the OSX DVD, I've tried trashing various preferences and nothing works. It happens with every user account, too.
    Here's a screen of the effects menu showing the thermal effect working properly there.
    http://img321.imageshack.us/img321/41/picture3ld0.jpg
    Help!

    Hi, it's just the one option in Photo Booth that doesn't work in this way, yes. By the way, the screen I get is solid black, not green.
    At the moment, it's looking more and more likely that I'm going to have to reinstall my system, which would be absurd.

  • IOS 6.1 photo import broken

    Just updated to iOS 6.1 and now I can no longer import photos from iphone to iphoto or Aperture. Phone appears as Iphone, but no photos appear.  Anyone have a fix or similiar problem?

    That action works fine for me with iOS 6.1 & iPhoto on an iPhone 5 so it seems that you have a unique problem.
    Are there actually photos in your Camera Roll?
    When you connect your iPhone:
    Does iPhoto start?
    Does iTunes start?
    Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
    Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPhone shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
    Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

  • Transferring photos on broken iphone

    My new phone (new but got wet) will not power up unless plugged into wall. Does not power up connected to USB. No wireless. No service. No fun! I can still get to camera roll when plugged into wall. Any ideas on getting photos and videos off? Never synced to itunes. Is there a removable memory card inside? Is there an iphone usb cable that is higher voltage so that it will poer up? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you much.

    Ingo2711 wrote:
    Syncing to a computer for the first time will erase all media first and you won't be able to copy your pictures to your HD.
    FYI: Photos in the camera roll are not itunes content and are not touched during the sync process(except being included in the phone's backup). Photos in the camera roll are treated like any other photos in a digital camera and are imported to the computer by the appropriate image capture program.

  • Note 3 Photos/Gallery broken after Android 4.4.4 VVRUDNJ6 install

    Verizon pushed Android 4.4.4 VVRUDNJ6 onto my Note 3 last night.  Now Skype doesnt work (fixed after reinstall).  Verizon Security doesnt work (dont know how to reinstall).  Worst, all photos in Gallery are unviewable. The camera works, but cant load neither old or new pics to view on the phone. The pics are seen in the Files. Problem exists for photos stored on phone and card.  Music stored on card is not messed up.  And movies stored on card can be watched, but the thumbnail pics are not loadable/seen.  This is horrible before the holidays when you want to take many pictures.  What is the fix, Verizon?!

    Thank you for your feedback. Samsung has provided the following information after an investigation.
    The best option to revert you photo viewing experience is to restore your device using a personal computer with the Software Repair Assistant tool and preserving your data in the process.
    Alternatively you can remove corporate email account and then decrypt the device which will fix the issue. Then encrypt the device again if necessary (if re-adding corporate account)
    Steps to Remove corporate email:
    -Settings > Accounts > Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync > select the corporate account > select option menu > remove account
    Steps to decrypt the device
    - Settings > Security > Decrypt phone (you must have 80% or above battery charged)
