Why wont my iphone 4s send photo's by text message ?

Are you provisioned by your phone carrier to use MMS? Do you have MMS turned on in settings?

After receiving a photo in a text message, my I phone 3gs screen is fuzzy over 3/4 of the screen. I have tried restoring, restarting my phone but this screen fuzz remains. Anyone know how to clear the fuzz off an Iphone screen? Thanks for help.

After receiving a photo in a text message, my I Phone 3GS screen is now fuzzy over 3/4 of the screen. I deleted the photos, did a restore of the phone, did a restart of the phone and still the screen has the fuzz over 3/4 of it.
Anyone ever experienced this problem and know how to fix it?

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

All of the photos in my text messages have disappeared and been replaced with a question mark image. Where did they go?

I updated my ios two or three weeks ago, but suddenly beginning this morning all of the photos in my text messages have disappeared. They have been replaced with question mark placeholders. I can't access any videos/photos that either I have sent or others have sent to me. I did nothing to instigate this change (no software updates, etc.) and have already tried resetting my phone multiple times.

I have the same condition on my iPhone only. I also have an iPad, a Macbook Air and an iMac that share the same iCloud account. Messages with photos seem to work fine on all devices except my iPhone. All of a sudden all the photos in my iPhone message streams have disappeared and been replace by question mark placeholders. I rebooted all devices, shut down messages, and rebooted, restarted, with no luck. Very bizarre and extremely frustrating. Any suggestions?

I cannot send a photo nor a text message that contains a photo from my iphone. My cellular is on & my Wi-Fi. I have tried sending a photo with both on, WiFi off & cellular on, and WiFi on with cellular on. What else can I try?

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

When I send a picuture via a text message using my iPhone 5, the text message contains all the photos that I have sent/received from a particular person. Is there a way to stop this so that I only send one picture at a time? I do not think I should have to send a text message that contains multiple pictures every time I send a picture to that same person.

Well, there are several things that can cause the device to reset.
One, corrupted data. If you have corrupted data on the device, when trying to access it, it can and most likely will, cause the device to reset.
Two, Low memory. If the device has low memory, the device will operate slow and most likely reset because it doesn't have a lot of free space. The free space remaining on the device is it's thinking room you could say. The smaller the thinking margin, the more likely it will not perfrom correctly. Best way to fix memory issues is to get an SD card and save all media files to the SD card.
Three, incompatible software. If there is incompatible 3rd party programs installed on the device this can cause several problems. Resets, missing data, and other functions not performing correctly.
The best thing I can recommend you do is a hard reset. A hard reset will erase all data on the device but restore all settings to default. Be sure to backup your data on a PC before performing a hard reset. For further information and instructions on how to do a hard reset go to kb.palm.com and look up article number 42094 in the solution ID search field.

Can't send photos with a text message

Every time I try to send a photo from my Camera Roll with a text message it thinks about it for an interminable time then drops leaving an exclamation mark next to the message. It used to be ok but stopped about a week ago. Any ideas anyone?

You're not alone! I have been searching for resolving this problem but I still have the problem.
Things you might want to check is that MMS is "on". Get to this by settings- messaging.
Check that "cellular data" is on.
try to power the iPhone off for a few minutes, then turn back on.
The only thing I have not tried is to reset the network. What I have read is that it wil not affect contacts, media, music. Tap settings- general, then scroll to the botton and tap reset, then tap reset network settings.
I alo wanted to mention that I have no problem sending a photo in an sms/mms message to other ios devices. The photo and text goes through. It's just with other reciepients that have a different device.
I also have Verizon as the carrier and I tried the *228 to program. My phone is also supplied by an enterprise, my work, and reading this Apple troubleshooting, the APN (access network), could have something to do with it on the settings or configuration of the server.

iPhone do not store anything on the sim.
Photos should be saved on computer like any other digital camera.
You can restore the backup for your dad as well as for yourself while swapping phones.

After restoring my iPhone, photos in my text message history are gone

I recently did a restore on my iPhone (June 27th). I back up to iCloud....
I was going through my text message history, and i noticed that the photos I had sent in them were gone, and I can't seem to recover them. I just see an image with a question mark where they should be. When I try to click it (like I might be able to load it), nothing happens. The text message history is there, but not the images.
I also noticed that some pics I had recently taken were gone from my camera roll. When I restored - they were just gone... They had "spots" for the days they were taken, and when I would click on them, it would say loading, but nothing ever happened.
So, I thought the back up must have been bad, but when I try to go back to that point (27th or prior), I can't - only the 3 most recent backs up there, last night, the 3rd, and the 1st.
I've got an older backup that I did to my computer, I could maybe use that - but that was from May (I normally back up to iCloud). I thought iCloud allowed you to back up several generations - similar to time capsule on a mac.
Anyone else experience this problem? Any suggestions?

I just found out today that I can't send a picture attached to a text message from my "technologically advanced" iphone!! I can't imagine what developers were thinking. Unless it's a conspiracy to force everyone to buy iphones so that they can email photos to each other. Well, I'm not about to buy my 15 yr. old son an iphone or any other smartphone with email. So I have lost the ability to send him photos! It used to be a great tool, if I was shopping and saw something he might like ... I just sent him a photo so I'd he could give me some feedback. My husband also does not have email on his cell phone. I'm the only one in the family with an iphone, great camera, too bad I can't share my photos with the rest of my family. I am very dissapointed after discovering this.

First of all, it is always a good idea to do the research and know what you are buying. It is well documented that the iPhone does not support MMS. Alot of people rush out and buy the iPhone purely on it's hype and never take the time to find out what it does and doesn't do. How many things does the iPhone do that no other phone can do though?
It is possible to send a picture message from your email to another mobile phone as a MMS, you just need to know the specific carriers MMS email address (ie. [email protected]) A Google search or even a search of keyword MMS on these forums should provide all the carriers addresses.. you will also see how thouroughly beaten this dead horse is.
I will say that Apple were the first computers that stopped putting floppy drives in their machines and everyone used to lament how stupid Apple computers were because they didn't even have floppy drives.. now everything is CD, DVD and DL DVD media.. almost any phone that can send MMS can also do email.. so I believe this to be another instance of Apple driving innovation and being ahead of the pack once again..
$400+ dollars is alot of money to spend without knowing what you are getting and doing the research ahead of time.

Can't receive or send photo's in text messaging

I need some help here...I have a MotoG that I just purchased. I have unlimited text and calls and plenty of data. I am connected to 3G network. But I can't get or send any pictures!!! I get an error message that reads, "cannot download message". So frustrating!! My wife has the same phone and has no problems! I have tried to power off and restart but it didn't do anything. Please advise!!!

Help is here, aaron042! I understand the importance of being able to send and receive picture messages so lets see what can be done to fix it. Have you tried to delete the text message thread and sending message again? Does this happen with every message? Share additional details so that I can better assist.

How to view photos in a text message on Lumia 900

I just got the Lumia 900 and when I am sent a pic through text messaging it says "Get media content now". I click that and after a moment, it vibrates and makes a sound but nothing else happens and the picture is not in my album. Can someone tell me what is wrong at all?

Have you enabled data as pictures won't download without a data connection. If you have enabled data then it's to do with your settings for MMS for which any number of things could be causing a problem either the phone or your net work provider, try searching MMS settings. You could try running the famous "Network set up" app.

Facebook photos syncing with text Messages

My apologies if this has been addressed already, I tried a search, but didn't find anything specific to my question.
I've noticed on my Fascinate that when I'm in messaging, I don't see any of the Facebook profile pictures associated with my text messages. The pictures show up under contacts, but not under the text messages.
Is anyone else having this problem? I'm not sure when this started, but maybe when I upgraded to Froyo?

Updated to iOS 5 and now photos sent with text message show as sent, but are not received to an iPhone that has not been updated.

Updated to iOS 5 and tried sending a message with a phot to an iPhone that has not been updated. My message shows as sent, but neither the text or photo are received. Text alone works fine.

This is being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage. To fix this you have two choices:
On all but one of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. Note: you can still share the same ID for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores; or
On all of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at".
