Photo Sharing in ios 6 shows all my photo streaming pictures

I decided to test the photo sharing feature in ios 6. I created an album and sent it to myself and was horrified to see that not only could I access the test album, but ALL my photo streamed pictures were available for viewing. I created another album, sent it to a gmail email account I have and had other same issue. Next, I created a third album and send the "public sharing" link to myself: it didn't show the third album but rather the previously created second photo stream album, even though I had already deleted it.
I never had this problem with MobileMe.
ANy suggestions?

I just did the same upgrade with my 3GS. I am having a similar problem. My contacts are on the phone now, but my music and apps are not. When I try to restore the back up this is the message I get: itunes could not restore the iphone because a session could not be started.
I see my my music and apps in my itunes library, but if I try to autofill it to my phone I get this message: itunes cannot add any songs to the iphone because no songs in library can be copied to the iphone.
Can you help?

Photos 1.0 not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary folder/file after update install

I installed the update that changed my iPhoto to Photos 1.0, and the new Photos program is not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder (not sure to call it file or folder since it is actually a folder with all my pics but it acts more like a file) after update install. The Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder shows to be 55 gb in size, and it shows to be loaded into the photos program, but there are maybe a few weeks of pictures showing instead of a few years. Lots of pictures in the 55 gb are not showing for some reason.

No - iPhotos has not replaced anything - it is new and an addition - iPhoto is still on your system in the applications folder and still works just fine
Outlook is not supported by Photos - not sure if the support must come form Apple or MS as Photos uses a different interface to external packages than iphoto did

I searched a lot and maybe found a part of the reason for this high data traffic.
I'm synchronizing my contacts, calendar & reminder with iCloud & my mail with Hotmail.
When push is activated for Hotmail, that doesn't matter, but when push is activated for iCloud, the amount of data nearly explodes. So I turned iCloud to manual and let Hotmail on push.
Contacts, calendar & reminder are synchronizing when opened (I think this is enough).
Also I do a backup on iCloud and than I deactivate the function (I do not delete the last backup, I only deactivate the option for automatic backup).
It seems, that the backup functionality also generates traffic when not on WiFi - especially at night!!
The battery life has been getting better, when I deactivated the support for automatic time zone changes (location services were always on).
The battery finaly got MUCH BETTER since the update on iOS 5.0.1.
My traffic is actually higher than on iOS 4 but not so high as before I deactivated some services...

Photo sharing - I used to love the Photo Gallery option in IPhoto. That feature was dropped. I find PhotoStream on the iPhone but what to do from my desktop/laptop? I don't like to organize photos on my phone.

Why would you think that? You will only lose the photos you have sent to iPhotos trash yourself. And you have all your data backed up anyway, don't you?

Close the pictures before you quit Preview. Cmd-opt-q will close all windows and quit. cmd-opt-w will close all windows and not quit.
Or, Disable automatically opening files that were left open in General System Preferences

I use an app called FileApp to transfer photos to my PC - I can then selectively delete photos from my iPhone and still have them on my PC - just download the app to your iPhone and follow the instructions for the accompanying program for your PC - then use your iPhone cable to connect - iTunes will also start up so just close it and you will see the iPhone storage as a drive - go the DCIM folder and open the device folder and you will see your photos.

Deleted Photos from iPhone still show up in Photo Stream on iPad: iOS 6

Okay, I've done a lot of searching and can't find any solution for this. I'm on iOS 6 on all devices, so none of the iOS 5.x article / discussions apply.
I have my iPhone 5, my wife has an iPhone 4, we have an iMac, and an iPad 2. Here's the situation. We use iCloud and Photo Stream is enabled on all four devices, and all share a single Apple ID.
I have many photos (let's say 100) I've taken on my iPhone 5 over the last several months, and with Photo Stream enabled, they were automatically copied to all of my other devices. Great. Now, I'd like to delete let's say 20 of those photos. On my iPhone 5, I go to "My Photo Stream" and mark all 20 of them and delete them. I get the pop-up confirmation that they will be deleted from the Photo Stream on all my devices. Great, exactly what I want.
The photos delete from my iPhone 5, my wife's iPhone 4, and my iMac. However, they still appear on my iPad under Photos, Photo Stream, and under Events (September 2012 Photo Stream, October 2012 Photo Stream, November 2012 Photo Stream events). I can not delete them from my iPad.
I have tried:
1. Selecting each photo, there is no option to delete
2. Selecting edit, and then selecting a photo, the delete button is disabled
3. Disabling Photo Stream on my iPad, and rebooting. All photos in "My Photo Stream" on iPad are deleted, but not the photos that were sourced by other devices, they still appear under Photos, Photo Stream, and the monthly Photo Stream events
So... How do I delete these photos from my iPad?

Okay, finally figured out what was going on. Positng the solution here in case it might help someone else with a similar problem.
Here's what was happening:
1. iPhone5/iPhone4/iPad/iMac all had iCloud + Photo Stream so Photos were shared
2. iMac was setup with iPhoto to automatically import and save Photo Stream photos
3. iPad was setup to wirelessly sync all albums from iPhoto
So, when photos were shared using Photo Stream to iMac, it would backup to an album in iPhoto, and sync to the iPad. Deleting the original photo on the iPhone would delete the photo from the Photo Stream on all devices, but it had already been added to a permanent album in iPhoto (e.g., "September 2012 Photo Stream"). This album was then automatically synced to the iPad. So, deleteing the photo from Photo Stream would clear it from the iPhones, but not the iPad.
To delete the photos:
1. Delete the photo from "My Photo Stream" in the source device (the device used to take the picture), this will delete it from the active Photo Stream on all devices
2. On the iMac, go into the automatically created monthly Photo Stream events, and delete the photos from there
3. In iTunes, initiate a Sync with the iPad, which will update the syncronized albums/events there, removing the photos on the iPad as well

IPhoto doesn't show all tagged photos

I Apply tags to my photos in iPhoto on ios to keep them organized and easily searchable. But when I select a tag to filter all the photos it has been applied to it doesnt show all. The tag reads 30 photos but only nine of them are displayed in the grid after selecting the tag. Is this a known bug?

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of what you are seeing. If you are having issues viewing all of your tagged photos in iPhoto for iOS, you may find the following article helpful, in particular this portion:
View flagged, tagged, hidden, or edited photos
Tap the label above the thumbnail grid.
If the thumbnail grid doesn’t appear, tap . (The orientation of this button changes depending on the orientation of your device.)
Tap an option to select the photos you want to see. To see only hidden photos, tap Hidden. To see all your photos (including the hidden ones), tap All & Hidden.
To view photos that meet several criteria (for example, photos with multiple tags), tap Advanced. Tap Any to display photos that meet any of the included criteria; tap All to display photos that meet all of the criteria.
To sort the photos by the date they were taken, tap either Oldest First or Newest First.
You can also display photos based on more complex criteria that includes or excludes certain types of photos from being displayed. After you tap the label above the thumbnail grid to open display options, tap Advanced. You can then select which type of items should be included or excluded from display. Tap Any to display items that meet any of the Included criteria. Tap All to display only items that meet all of the Included criteria.

We're you backing up to a computer using iTunes? If so, restore the backup from there.

If you just turned photo stream on, it's likely that the missing 649 photos are older than 30 days and thus are no longer in icloud to stream to your device.
Did you turn photo stream off and back on, or sign out of your iCloud account, then sign back in?

ITunes photo sharing lets AppleTV show non-shared photos !!

In Itunes, I said "Share Photos From", "Selected Events", and I only selected two events.
On my Apple TV, I said "Computers". [my computer], "Photos", "Slide Show".
Before I click anything else ("Events" is highlighted), photos start scrolling past in the left side of the screen. Some of these photos are NOT in the two events I selected. (And were quite inappropriate for the crowd at my party. Embarrassing! )
The photos that scroll by when you highlight events should honor the iTunes preferences about which photos will be shared. This seems like abug to me. I reported it to Apple - mostly posting here as a warning to other users.
FYI, the other (inappropriate) photos that scrolled by WERE selected to be shared by Itunes a few days before. MAybe they were in some buffer somewhere?
Anybody have ideas about fixing this issue?

That's never been my experience with photo sharing, perhaps you simply didn't update once you removed the photos a few days earlier.

Photo browser does not show all aperture projects (missing 12)

Has anyone experienced this issue? My photobrowser (mail) only gives me a partial list of what I have in aperture. Discussed this with apple support a month ago and he couldn't figure it out so suggested that I rebuild, which I did, and the problem went away, but now it's back. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks a bunch.

Yes, I did try all possible ways of connecting my drive to the iMac and even to my laptop (Firewire & USB).
I also did the consistency check.
I am not sure about the set-up of "Ignore ownership on this volume"? Never heard about this and will try to find out how to check that.
The most extraordinary thing is that ALL my photos are visible in the "All Photos" blue folder, though they do not have the respective Project folder in the library window...?
Since each project are existing in my Aperture file library when I open the "Show Package Contents", I am lost at what to do next to recuperate those projects in their previous state in my Aperture profile.
My next move, I think is to try again to restore the vault onto another drive since you mention that size should not be an issue.
By the way, can you tell me if a properly restored vault should recreate all project folders and its subsequent albums + smart albums in the Projects window?

ICloud and Photos app are not showing full resolution photos

Since migrating my iPhoto library to Photos, it has had problems showing the full resolution of photos. I initially had "Optimize Mac Storage" selected, but even when I had space available, it would not download the full resolution version of a photo. The loading circle in the bottom right corner would spin until it would be 'fully loaded' but the photo would not become the full resolution photo. I then checked "Download Originals to This Mac", but after it said it had downloaded the full sized versions of everything, the same problem occurred. I then went to iCloud and the iCloud Photos app and saw that some of my photos were displayed at about 1/3 the size on the screen. This wasn't just zoomed out. When I zoomed in closer the image did not resolve any better.
HOWEVER, downloading the photo from iCloud and opening it in preview gave the full resolution photo. I have attached an image showing the different levels of resolution from os x Photos app, iCloud, and the downloaded image (shown in Preview). I used the zoom slider on Photos until it reached 100%, I set the view in Preview to "Actual Size", but in iCloud to get the same dimension image, I had to zoom to 200%+.
Another thing that I noticed was that this doesn't happen to all of my photos:
It definitely happens to all of my photos taken with a Fujifilm X-M1, where I shoot in RAW, adjust and process in Lightroom, then export JPEGs to iPhoto. These tend to be slightly smaller (largest side 2048 pixels).
It doesn't happen to photos taken with 645Pro app (where I still export JPEGs to iPhoto with largest side 2048 pixels).
It happens to some, but not all, photos taken with the iPhone's native camera app
I am very confused. Also, even after having checked "Download Originals to this Mac" and letting it download everything, the Photo Library is only 3.77 GB. In iCloud it is ~10GB and my old iPhoto library was about ~15GB.

I now discovered that I can't edit photos in the Photos app (presumably because Photos is not communicating well with iCloud and can't download the full resolution photo to edit).

Photos downloaded appear only "showing: added by (photos only)" - do not appear in albums or grid. Why?
