Photo shop 7.0 in windows 8

trying to install my old photo shop 7.0 in windows 8  it installs fine  but when trying to open the program it says scratch disks are full. I know 7.0 is old but its paid for and I cant afford to upgrade now 7.0 does everything I need it to. Durning installation I got a message saying windows and Adobe  scratch files were in the same volume. I dont know how to change the volume can someone help with this ? Thanks

Gofast200 I don't believe Photoshop 7 is not able to handle drives larger than 500 gigabytes.  You can try partitioning your drive if you wish to use Photoshop 7.0 under Windows 8.

I followed the instructions on the Web site to uninstall Photo shop elements 12 in windows 8.1 and when I did as it said there was no box to tick for deactivation so I carried on..  Can I just go ahead and install on another computer ?

I don't know what instructions you may have followed, but as long as you "signed out" , then you will be fine.

  • Trying to install Photo Shop CS3 Extended on Windows 8 and keep getting database corrupted

Hi, I am trying to install my Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended on my new Windows 8 OS 64 Bit computer. The CD does not have a scratch on it, it is like new. I get the error database is corrupted. Contact Adobe Support.
I went to the Adobe website and downloaded the updated installer, same error. I tried running the installer in Windows XP compatibility mode, it looks like it installed, but when I run I get database corrupted.
I could really use some help.

  • Cursor problems with Photo shop Elem.9 on windows 7

Help, can any one help me I have been operating Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 on Windows 7 for about a year and have found it very good but suddenly If I want to use tools such as Crop. Stamp etc I get THREE icons displayed which makes it impossible to use, I have run the updates but nothing has changed. I ALSO have P.E. 9 on my lap top which runs on Windows Vista and there is NO problem on my lap top.

I suspect it may have something to do with your monitor settings. Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It’s not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE requires a dpi of 96 or 100%
Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% to 149% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t. Sometimes the mouse or tool cursors are distorted.
Try a setting of 115% to 120% otherwise use 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops, and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality. If your height resolution is out of the range 768 to 800 try experimenting with the slider/settings.

  • Photo Shop Pallet problems

I am using Photo Shop on a duel screen set up with a Thunderbolt Monitor as one screen and a Cintiq as the second screen.  I'm using a Mac Book Pro to run the whole thing.  Typically, I use theThunderbolt monitor to hold the pallets, and the main window is on the Cintiq.  Lately, anytime I navigate away from a Photo Shop to a different window, when I return to Photo the pallets will have jumped to the far right side of the Cintiq, and they will be all on top of each other. I've tried setting up a different workspace, but it doesn't makes any difference. It's driving me crazy!

A couple of questions (and I am not a Mac user, so bear with me.
Are you effectively using three screens?  I'm wondering if the MBP screen is also active.
What version of OSX are you using?  Did you have this problem with a previous OSX version?
I don't suppose it makes any difference, but are you using Display port, and or HDMI connectors?

  • Is it possible to download a previous version of Photo shop (ie. cs4 or cs5)?

Is it possible to download a previous version of Photo shop (ie. cs4 or cs5)? I purchased Photo shop CC for my windows computer but when I attempted to download it to my mac I was told that my computer does not meet the system requirements.

I don't know your OS, but I'll assume Snow Leopard 10.6.8  In which case Photoshop CS6 would be the best especially if you have a cloud membership like the Photography Plan.
Download Photoshop CS6 Mac here Download CS6 products
Install and sign into it with your Adobe login.

  • What Photo Shop version may work with Windows Vista Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 2?

What Photo Shop version may work with Windows Vista Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 2?

    For the IQ700 series
If you're running Windows Vista SP2, there is a patch for USB patch for NVIDIA chipsets
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975163/
If you're running Windows 7, install this patch

And only use the driver from the system manufacturer's website or Windows Update. Do not use the latest drivers from NVIDIA's website for the IQ700 series

We purchased Adobe Photo Shop Windows with 2 licenses in December 2012.  We only installed 1 instance and would like to install the other now.  How do we look up our Activation/license information?

Assuming you got it directly from Adobe as a download, click on the red logo near the top-left of this page.  Then click the [ Manage account ] button.  After logging-in you should be able to find all the information on products you've purchased.

    Definitely not.
Neither Photoshop CC nor Lightroom 5 will run on Windows XP.

Photoshop CS6 will run but you will not have access to any 3D features. Seems like waste of a membership on that underspec'd laptop.

  • Sending and setting up photo shop 3.0 for another computer?

I dont know if anyone could help me with this? My father has NO KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTERS! He has several photos that he needs organized and I also have several of his photos on my computer that I already have organized in photoshop starter edition 3.0.
Is there a way to set up a link where all he has to do is press one button to download the photoshop 3.0 program and the to where I could send him what I already have organized for him?
any help with this or ideas would be most wonderfully appreciated!!! Thank you so much

    Cheers
Thank you so much for replying!
No these computers are not networked together at all. He lives in another state then me. Yes both of these computers are usually on. I know there is some way with windows to actually be able to get on his computer; however I also know it would involve him having to change some things and part of the problem is that he is sooo computer illiterate, that he cant even go to the adobe site to download the program! (I love him but AHHHH! ha ha)
I was thinking that I might be able to log on to Adobe, with his email account, and register Photo shop then just send him a one button link to download? But I am not sure if #1 that would work and #2 If there was anyway to send the pictures I already have of his to him organized in photoshop
(( I have yet to find any way to view photoshop photos in the organized and tagged way it shows with in the program - Like the calender view ???))
So I don't know if this clears anything up and if you - Or anyone else reading this - could help me with this deli-ma any further?? I HOPE SO!!?? Thank you so much??!

  • Photo shop elements 7

I have Photo Shop Elements 7 - using with Windows XP.  In the Organizer section, main menu, I cannot
get the File, Edit, Find, View to show up without having to click on the double arrows first.  I would like
them to appear as they do in Editor section.  Thanks for any help.

If you follow the link in John's first option, you will find these instructions for XP:
Reduce the Windows screen font size to 96 dpi.
Choose Start > Control Panel > Display or Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display.
    Choose Settings > Advanced.
Choose Normal Size (96 DPI) from the DPI Settings menu.
Click OK to the warning, then click Apply.
Click Yes in the General dialog box if it states that the required files are already installed on your desktop.
Close the Display Properties Control Panel.
    Restart your computer.
