I downloaded Photoshop CS5.1 from Adobe volume licensing portal. It is asking for the cd during the install

Confused. Adobe usually does not provide a download link for out of date products.

I have tried to launch my photo shop CS5.1 with no success. Message stated that I had to uninstall it and then reinstall it but
first had to download Java SE6. I installed Java for OX 2014-001 which it says supersedes all previous versions of Java
Went back to PS suite. there is now a box on website which includes icons of all PS suite. Also an icon that says
UNINSTALL. Right next to it there is an icon box with an arrow. Guess that means to reinstall PS.
I then went into Photoshop.com. adobe and read the complaint blogs. There are many that relate to this situation
One says: "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit. "

I do not want to lose PS. What do I do if Photo Shop "EXITS?"??????

Edit in Photo Shop CS5 option bosx is missing in action?

Hi. When in LR 4 selecting "Edit inPhoto Shop CS5" for an image I no longer get the edit option box to choose "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Settings" . This seems to have vanished in LR4. I would like to re-enable this option. Right now I get a original file in PS/CS5 without the ability to select some other option. Please tell me what I am missing. Thanks.

It's actually a pain as ACR 6.7 is not 100% compatible with LR4.1RC2. ACR6.7 (final) ignores the new defringing adjustments. It would make more sense to me if LR gave the option to "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Settings" so that I could open those images I have used defringing on using LR.
The workaround is to set up an export preset to export a tiff with LR adjustments that will be included in the catalogue , and then edit the tiff in PS; an extra step but not too painful.

Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first before you click the download link otherwise the download link will not work.
If you don't have a serial number then the trial will only work for 30 days then it will stop working.

Error 6 bei installing Photo Shop CS5

What am I doing wrong bei installing PS CS5.
The installation seem to run good, but when it is completed and I touch the blue PS icon on the Desk Top
I am asked to contact Adobe.com because of the Error 6

Is it possible to download a previous version of Photo shop (ie. cs4 or cs5)? I purchased Photo shop CC for my windows computer but when I attempted to download it to my mac I was told that my computer does not meet the system requirements.

I don't know your OS, but I'll assume Snow Leopard 10.6.8 In which case Photoshop CS6 would be the best especially if you have a cloud membership like the Photography Plan.

未統合のPhotoshopPSDは下位互換性は考えていない、と思った方がいいです。念のため統合画像も一緒に送っておいたほうが良いかと。
例えばカラールックアップなどの付いたPSDをCS3で開こうとすると、
このようなダイアログが出ます。レイヤーを保持してもCS3にない機能は無視されます。つまり色が変わります。
また「統合」も、うまくいく場合とそうでない場合があり、大抵は開けません。
相手のバージョン以降実装された機能を使わずに試しに送ってみて、いけそうならその機能以外使わない、という運用も考えられますが、何が起きるか分からないので私はお勧めしません。
環境設定＞ファイル管理で、「PSDおよびPSBファイルの互換性を優先」を常にオン、または保存時に確認（にして保存時にオン）にしてから保存すると統合した画像も埋め込まれますので、テストする余裕がない、という場合はこちらを。ただし他のアプリへの配置ができる、という程度でPhotoshopで開いて編集できるようになる、ということではありませんのでご注意ください。

Can I download Photo Shop to a new computer, after downloading it had been downloaded to my old computer? I bought it several years ago.

Are you talking about photoshop elements 5.0 or the old photoshop 5.0 from around 1998 or photoshop 5.0 LE?
Or perhaps photoshop cs5?

I bought the creative cloud thinking it was photo shop.

I am taking a class this quarter that requires me to rent adobe photo shop. I bought the creative cloud thinking it came with photo shop and it still says I need to buy it. What do I need to do if I just need the photo shop and nothing else?

How do you transfer Creative Cloud (Light Room & Photo Shop) from your old Desk top to a new desk top

I have just got a new desk top and I am trying to work out how to get The creative Cloud programs I use (light Room and Photo Shop) off my old Desk top and onto the new desktop. Does any one know how to do this or have already done it, or do you have to cancel the subscription on the old PC and start a new subscription for the new PC.

You do not need to cancel the subscription. You can simply follow the article: Creative Cloud Help | Download, install, update, or uninstall apps which will help you to install the Adobe CC application on your new PC.
If possible you can also deactivate the license from your previous computer using the article: Activation & Deactivation Help.

What OS version? What's the exact error? Exactly when does the error occur? What previous versions? What is on the screen when the error displays? Does Photoshop get fully open?
Try opening Photoshop holding down Shift key immediately to turn off plug-ins. Lots of good suggestions here: Photoshop: Basic Troubleshooting steps to fix most issues

I edited photos in photo shop that I took off of my camera and then whenI was done I saved them in a folder in my documents as a JPEG. Now when I try to open them there is an encrytion error me assage.

You know the drill: Exact OS...PS version...etc. The more you provide, the better.
What is the exact message that is displayed?
What have you tried so far?
Do the files display on your browser? In Bridge?
What are you doing when it happens?
Are the files still on your cameras card? If so and,you copy one to your desktop and save it without changes, does it reload properly?
Don't worry about providing too much information. Every little bit helps.

Well, yes, data does get corrupted sometimes.
The trick is finding what data.
By 'cleaned' are you therefor meaning that the drive has been erased and the system re-installed?
Because that's the quickest way to deal with such a situation.
Back up the system first of course,
Add back 3rd party apps one at a time in case one of them is causing the problem.

This whole deal reeks. I do not know where you got your product from, but that's not how Adobe Photoshop works.
