Photo signature

I'm having a hard time setting up my signature with photos. I dragged the photos into the signature window but when I send an email to another Mac mail user they show up as attachments rather than in the email itself.
The same person I sent the email to set up his signature the same way and his photos were in the email rather than attachments. I checked my email from my web based account and it was the same way. My emails with a photo signature, the photos showed up as attachments, but his were embedded in the email.
How can I fix this?

In Mail Prefs signatures, does the filename underneath the thumbnail of the photo show up with a file extension, such as "signature.jpg"? That's the first thing I would experiment with. If it's just "signature" with no ".jpg" or whatever file extension, the other person's Mail may not know what to do with it since it doesn't have a file extension to clue it in as to what application should be spawned.

• How to transfer a blob column in a table to another blob column in another

Well as the title suggest, i'm trying to take the BLOB field in say my table Photo and put it in another BLOB field in my table Members. How would i do that?
I'm working in Oracle Forms 10G.
I tried to do a cursor that get the picture(BLOB) and i tried to fetch the result in the other table :Members.Photo but it says my link is not good. I also tried using variables but didn't do the trick either.
The thing is we have a system that once the picture is taken its automatically put in the Photo table (contain only one picture at a time, only one row) and then in Forms we have have a message asking to press ok when the photo has been taken and then it should insert it in the Members table....
if more information is required please feel free to ask!
Thanks in advance.

• Can I edit the size of my photo when setting up an email signature?

Can I edit the size of my photo when setting up an email signature?

Not sure what you mean by "photo screen?" Do you mean your Photo Stream?
In the Photos app there are several ways to view the photos. Tap on Albums. Your Photo Stream is one Album but there may be others including the Camera Roll, albums made on the iPad with photos from the Camera Roll, and albums of photos copied to your iPhone by syncing with your computer.
To remove albums from the Camera Roll, tap on the Camera Roll album to see the small thumbnails of the photos there. Tap on Select, tap on the photos to delete, then tap on the trashcan. The photos will then be moved to another album called Recently Deleted. They remain there for 30 days to allow you time to reconsider whether you really want to delete them or not. After 30 days they will automatically be deleted from your iPhone. But if you are sure you want the photos deleted from your iPhone delete them again from the Recently Deleted album.
Albums created on the iPad with photos from the Camera Roll can be deleted in the same way.
To delete albums copied to your iPhone by syncing with your computer running iTunes are deleted by doing another sync. But before you click on Sync deselect the albums in iTunes. Then when you click on Apply or Sync the albums will be removed from your iPhone but they will remain on your computer.

• How do I add a signature to the bottom of a photo?

How do I add a signature to the bottom of the photo?
I have created a signature, but it centers in the photo and I need to just professionally sign my photos with small area to the bottom right of my pictures. HELP!!

Hello, wecome to the forums! the easiest is to use the watermark panel that Russell Brown made: scroll down or search for Watermark on http://www.russellbrown.com/scripts.html
You will find a script, and a video that explains how to use it.
If you want to do it yourself, crate an action where you will use the layer>align>... Menu entries to place your signature where you want it.
Hope this helps!

• How do I embed a utube in a photo for a signature?

I am setting up some signatures in MAIL and wanted to use my company photo and embed a utube video in the photo. How do I do that?

Hi Matt,
Starting with the form you want to sign opened in Reader, select the Fill & Sign tool on the right side of the toolbar. This will open the right hand Fill & Sign panel. Next, open (expand) the Fill & Sign Tools pane.
There are three possible scenarios from this point...
The Place Signature tool is disabled (grayed out). This would be because the security setting on the file do not allow for changes.
The Place Signature tool is enabled, but when you select it and get the Place Signature dialog, the only option available is Use a certificate. This is because the document contains an existing signature field and the assumption is the document author requires a secure digital signature as opposed to electronic signature.
The Place Signature tool is enabled, and all of the radio buttons are enable on the Place Signature dialog.
Depending on which of the three scenarios you encounter drive what you can do next. Obviously with scenario 1 there is nothing else to do. With scenario 2 you have to have access to a valid digital ID to create a digital signature. With scenario 3 you have the option of creating either a digital signature using your digital ID, or you can create an electronic signature by placing a mark on the document. That mark can be your typed name, a signature you create with a mouse, or a scanned image of your wet-ink signature.
If you need to create a digital signature, then you need to have access to a digital ID. There are two options for procuring a digital ID; either you can buy one from a trusted Certificate Authority (CA) who will vet your identity, or, you can have Reader generated an untrusted digital ID for free. What you select to do depends on what the second party (you're the first party, the document recipient is the second party, and if a CA is involved they are the third party) requires, or more precisely, what agreement you and other party come to.
I hope this helps get your started.

• How to add a photo to Apple Mail signature...? (he asks laughably)

Since the sender's Address Book photo is not included with emails sent
(even 'though Apple Mail makes it look like they are),
how can you add a personal photo to a Mail signature?
OR, is there another means of including a personal photo with every email sent?
**** How many people have asked for this feature / capability? More than 10,000?
Thx.

How many people have asked for this feature / capability? More than 10,000?
As a matter of fact I have never seen it mentioned before. Perhaps only a few people need such an ego-trip every time they send an email.
The normal way is to add a photo within the text or as an attachment. The Signature only handles thumbnails.
But you can send your suggestion to Apple via their feedback link:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/
It will be read but you will not receive a reply.

• Creating a customized signature on photos

i am new to Adobe photoshop, and cannot figure out how to create a customized logo/signature to place on all my photos - can anyone help ?

Logos will probably need to be created in PNG format by a pixel-based editor like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements or a drawing program like Illustrator or CorelDraw. Lightroom does not have the capability for this type of Logo creation
Once created you can use the Watermark feature in Lightroom to apply it to all your images on Export/Print/Slideshow/Web versions.

• Signature photo broken when emailing from iPhoto

I have a photo above my name in my default signature in Mail. When I click the Email" button in iPhoto to send photos via email, my signature photo shows up as and icon that reads "Untitled (82kb)".
The photo in my signature works FINE if I create a new email, but not in the new emails that iPhoto creates with the pictures attached.
I added the photo to the signature field in Mail's preferences by dragging and dropping the .JPG file from the Finder. That, and copying and pasting seems to be the only way to put a photo in a signature. Neither method works when initiating an email from iPhoto.
Mail 2.1
iphoto 5.0.4
Any ideas, anyone?
Thanks!

Marius,
set the mailer in the iPhoto Preferences to "Mail.app", not to "iPhoto"
iPhoto > Preferences > General
Email Photos using: Mail
This way you will be able to mail your photos directly from iPhoto, but you cannot use the iPhoto cards; use the Mail Photo stationary instead, once the mail panel opens.
For some reason mailing using iPhoto as Mailer works for me only, if I am mailing from my iCloud accoun,t and if Mail is set to use the iCloud account by default.
Regards

• Add photo to signature

Is it possible to a photo, actually I want to use a jpeg of logo, to the signature on an account?
Tried vCard, but doesn't show logo to those who receive message.
thanks.

yes. just drag the picture to the signature composition panel in mail preferences->signatures. just keep in mind that this will be attached to every email you send and take space. a better option might be to host the image somewhere on he web. you'd need to hack up the signature package for your signature to make this work though.

• E-signature with photo goes out as an attachment

I am very new to MacBook. I recently created e-mail signature with a photo. When an e-mail is sent to Mac, it shows the signature with a photo in the body of the text and also shows the signature as an attachment. But when the same e-mail is sent to PC, the signature with a photo shows only as an attachment. It creates a problem since recipient has to open the attachment to read the signature.
Is there any way to send email signature with a photo not as an attachment?
Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.

Apple Mail encrypts messages differently than the rest of the Pack.
It embeds Attachments into the body of the message.
Everyone else Attaches it separate from the body.
To comply, Mail (I think) complies with both.
And when .Mac subscriber emails other .Mac subscriber,
they both use Apple's system, when Gmail-er emails Yahoo-er
or .Mac-er emails Gmail-er Mail attaches it both ways.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

• How do i ad a signature with photo to my emails? stuck? help

I found your instructions but can't get it to all work, way to complicated instructions for a simple user as me. can someone please call me and walk me through the process, IN English please not a lot of pc talk,
I can get the photo in & or the text but can't get both to be on the signature and stick? Not sure what i'm doing wrong. you may email me to start then i'll supply a phone number. thanks Jan

"Why is the task so difficult"... It is not.
However if you paste an image in, it is stored in your temp folder. Next time you reboot your operating system it should delete it. Perhaps that is your problem. Most people have no regard for files and think everything works by copy and paste. It does not.
HTML at it's base is not user friendly and windows users in particular have trouble with the concept of a document being made up of a collection of files, which is how HTML works. When you insert your image, make sure to check the box that says "attach this image to the message" otherwise ensure your image file your inserting is on the public internet.
BTW, Thunderbird is a complex and powerful email client. If you want simple, use a web service which does little, but is simple. But In Thunderbird, Outlook.com, Yahoo, and Gmail all will require a HTML signature done exactly the same way as HTML is what powers the internet.

• Can I add my signature to my photos on my iPhone 5 using iPhoto or another app?

I want to be able to add my own personal signature or mark to the pictures I take with my iPhone so when I post them various places it shows they are mine and copy written.

The pics have to be imported to the iPad to view.
You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.) If you don't import, you can only see small thumbnails of the pics.
 Cheers, Tom

• How do I attach a photo to my signature

How do I attach a photo to my signature in messages & email?

You cant do this easily, but you can do it for email using HTML and an image stored somewhere on the web, such as your own website.
Hang on, its going to get bumpy...
You would do this by writing the text you want to use on a webpage on your website, publish it temporarily, then copy the text and image from the page (you dont need to see the HTML code to do this). Now use the Mail, Contact, calendars page in Settings on your iOS device to paste the block into your signature. This will add it to your signature.
I do this to put a company logo or ad at the bottom of my emails from iOS.

What type of documents? Exactly what do you want to do with Photo Booth. It does both movies and static pictures. Which do you want to add?
