Photo slideshow on the Nano

Perhaps I'm being daft here, but just how in the world do you activate the slideshow mode in Nano???
Selecting a photo via the center button only shows you that photo. It does not transit to other photos.
Pressing "play/pause" button actually plays the song playlist!

Anyone?

Does anyone know of a good online video instruction on how to put together a photo slideshow in the new iMovie 11 version. I found uTube videos using imported videos, but I want to use photos in iPhoto. I'm very familiar with how to do this in the pervious version, but it's no so intuitive in the new version.

Has anyone tried this one.. I am not sure if I am allowed to post information about other products... so if I am not please delete this part of my message.

  • How do you get photo slideshows in the right order on Ipod Video

When I download my photos from my computer (Windows XP) they do not come out in the right order on my Ipod. How do I get my photos to come out in the same order as I have them on my computer? In My Pictures on Windows I arrange icons by date taken and this is how I want them on Ipod.
Hope some genius can help me.

Manahanb, which program are you using to make the slideshow and which OS?
When requesting help, you should always include the make/model of the computer and/or monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications of the them.

  • How to create a Photo slideshow to the beat of the Music?

How do I create an upbeat slideshow where each picture changes right at the beat of the music?   I know how to add markers and insert my photos one my one, but is there an easier more effective way to do this?  It is very difficult to try to just listen to the music and guess where the beats are, I wish there was a sure way to know where the beat of the music is.  Once you even have all the markers placed, is there a way to insert all the photos at once right where the markers are?  I have been researching and trying to do this for the past few days, and feel like there must be a better way to do it.  Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Help with photo slideshow and deleting photos!!!

I wanted to know how you make a photo slideshow on the ipod and I also wanted to find out how to delete photos off of the ipod. I got them on but some I didn't want on there. How do I get them off?

    Deleting photos? Easy.
The photos get on your nano through iTunes.
In iTunes you need to change the Preferences.
Plug in the nano, launch iTunes, open Preferences.
Look at the Photo tab - this will tell you what is being synced onto the nano.
Change this or remove the syncing altogether.
    Hope that solves your question.
Have a look at this link for the iPod for Dummies:

lots of useful information there including photo slideshows.

  • Stop and start a photos slideshow

Hi .. So I want to use the photos slide show to execute a presentation .. But this means I need to start the slideshow and then stop, present the slide (a photo of the slide in fact), and then continue to the next photo .. I.e. I want manual control of the slideshow. Is this possible without having to stop and restart the whole slideshow?
    Thanks.
Btw keynote cannot handle my large ppt files, and photos/slideshow is the only other app I can find that outputs to the via and my tv/projector, hence I converted the talk to a jpeg and loaded it as a sequence of photos! It would be quite a lot easier if good reader could output to the VGA, or keynote display PDF files.

    Hi,
If you do the slideshow from the opening screen (Picture Frame), the iPad allows for no control other than stopping the show completely. If you run the slideshow from within the Photo app, if you stop a slide (you have to touch it and move it a bit to get it to stop), then the whole slideshow stops and you have to restart it again in the usual way. So Craig is right. Just put your presentation in an album, open the album and manually swipe to the next photo when you're ready. The only practical way to get the photos onto the iPad is to sync them to the Photo Library album (you can't sync to the Saved Photo album and you can only get pictures in there either from Safari or from email- unless I'm missing something), which means you'll be losing the ones that are already there. But that shouldn't be a problem if you just store them on your main computer and synch them back after the presentation's done.

  • How to create a photo slideshow in imovie 11

describe how to create a 200 photo slideshow from the start using imovie 11 with titles, transitions and music and then burn it to a dvd

iMovie is to edit movies; creating a slideshow is easier in iPhoto. When finished, you can then move it to iMovie or iDVD to create a cool menu/theme and burn it.
Here is a link to Apple support - I searched for "how to create a slideshow in iPhoto":

How do i create a photo slideshow or fading slidshow for the welcome page in iweb

There are trillions of slideshows to be found on the internets.
Download the one you like, make it work the way you want and put it on the server.
Display it in the browser to see if it looks the way you want.
Then use the <iframe> html element to display it in a HTML Snippet.

How can I create a slideshow that depicts only a version of a photo rather than the original?   Since the original and new versions are saved together, the aperture slideshow often choices the original rather than the desired version to display.

There are two things we use the name "Slideshow" for in Aperture:  a Slideshow Album, used for making Slideshows, and the Slideshow that is made.  (Imho, it is a design mistake to not call the containers used to create Slideshows, Books, etc., "Albums".)
The Slideshow will use the Album Pick from any Stack.  A good way to use Aperture is to promote the Image you want to regularly use (such as, for example, a Version with adjustments) to the top of the Stack.  This makes it the Stack Pick, and will be the default Album Pick.  If you haven't done that, you can still change the Album Pick for any Stack in a Slideshow Album.  Expand your Stack(s), select the Image in each Stack that you want to be the Album Pick (and thus shown in the Slideshow), and "Stacks➞Set Album Pick".  (Note the keyboard shortcut; there is also a Toolbar icon for this.)  The change is immediate.  The Slideshow will always show the Album Pick (or, if there is not one, the Stack Pick) for every Stack in your Slideshow Album.

I get this pop up when trying to create a photo book through the iPhoto store.
"Some or all of the photos you selected were downloaded from your published albums. You can only view these photos. To use them in an album or a slideshow or project, you must import them to your photo library."
The photos I have selected have already been imported so how and why do I do it all over again?

I have over 400 photos selected for a photo book for my child's graduation gift so how can I tell which photos I have to do this to?
Please help. Any insight wouyld be appreciated.
    Confused and frustrated...

Give this a try:  apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.

  • How do you create a mixed media disc? I would like to include a slideshow/movie as well as include a .pdf of a photo book on the same disc?

How do you create a mixed media disc? I would like to include a slideshow/movie as well as include a .pdf of a photo book on the same disc. I would like the movie to play on any DVD player.

Do you want the pdf available to view or just for copying from the disk to a computer for viewing.
To view a PDF you can do a Print ➙ PDF ➙ Save PDF to iPhoto which will create a jpg of each page of the pdf and save it to iPhoto.  From there you can send the PDF jpegs to iDVD to make a slideshow of the pages.  It's the same principle as used in this tutorial: 06 - Creating an iDVD Slideshow From an iPhoto Book.
If you don't have the Safe to iPhoto workflow in your HD/Library/PDF Services folder you can download it from  Toad's Cellar.

  • How do I make iPod Classic import (sync) photos via iTunes so that the photos stay in order by filename and can then be viewed as a slideshow in the correct order?

I carefully number my iPod bound photos so that they are in a desired order by filename.  When I sync the photos to my iPod Classic they are not in the same order.  A typical filename would be:  001 001 IMG-3489.jpg followed by 001 002 IMG-3478.jpg.  Windows uses the first seven characters to order the files and does not care what follows the first seven so long as the first seven are not duplicated within the folder.  My iPod ignores that convention.  HELP! PLEASE!  I want to view my slideshows in the correct order.
    Thanks

Does both your Windows and Macbook iTunes have the same library of songs?
if it  does then, much easier to proceed, else try to load the Macbook with the same library as Windows.
Note that only one of the Macbook USB port is good for iPod Classic, the other is too slow and may cause timeout, and I would suggest disconnect all other USB devices, while you Restore or Sync the iPod Classic.
Connect the iPod to the Mac, (if iTunes launch, please close it back.)
Use Disk Utility -> select the iPod Device->First Aid->Repair (use option FAT32)
After the Repair complete, eject the iPod.
    Connect back to the Mac
When iTunes launch, Restore the iPod when Prompted, (use FAT32)
    Sync your library.
    Good Luck!

  • HT3798 On iPod 160gb - how can I view album art full screen like in the menu half screen or photo slideshows?

I remember responding to an apple customer satisfaction survey in 2009, when I purchased my iPod Classic. I suggested it should be possible to have album art viewed in full screen like in photo slideshows or how album art is presented on half the screen when the menu is navigated to the 'music' list. Does anyone know if apple has created an iPod Classic software update which includes this glaring omission?

The progress bar is not the iPod disconnecting from the PC but rather the iPod reading in the library database from it's hard drive. It's safe to disconnect when told to.

  • Controlling the Photo Slideshow thru a remote

I have my itouch hooked up to my tv via the docking station and the composite av cables. I want to know if there is a way to have the little white remote control (advance, pause, etc.) the photo slideshow. Right now if press those buttons during the photo slideshow, it just starts controlling the music.
Please let me know if there is a way to change it to have the white little remote control the photo slideshow.
